Ah, the Ed. I've been making monthly trips to this place since I turned 18. They prepare a nice range of cocktails, and drink prices have always been reasonable. Their food isn't great if you're a vegetarian, but they have quite popular schnitzel and beer deals, reasonable price and reasonable quality. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine there, but if you're in the area with a few friends and feel like a few drinks and a bite to eat, it's the perfect place to stop. Also has a very nice beer garden.

This review is for The Perfect Cup Cafe, Adelaide SA

The Perfect Cup Cafe has recently expanded in the Central Markets, adding more tables and chairs for those of us who routinely drop by for a cup of their wonderful coffee. Although they sell a large variety of roasted coffee beans at great prices and percolators/coffee accessories, in my opinion they specialise in the brewing of fresh coffee. Friday nights at the central markets wouldn't be the same without the Perfect Cup!

This review is for Zhivago Family Trust Hotel, Adelaide SA

verified email - 11 Nov 2009

Zhivago used to be a favorite hang out place of one of my old friends, and I'm not sure why. The atmosphere is dull, drinks are generic (although not a bad price), and the quality of character who visits the place is a bit on the creepy side. If you're going there with a bunch of friends or on a pub crawl, then fair enough, but if it's just you and your girlfriend, steer clear.

This review is for Christopher Hodge Dentist, North Adelaide SA

verified email - 11 Nov 2009

Dr Hodge has been my families Dentist for a long time now, and we've always liked his service and attitude. He has over 20 years in the business and is a dentist you can trust. Whenever he is checking your teeth or doing a procedure, he always provides very good explanations as to what he's doing. Although not very talkative, he is always friendly. Highly recommended.

This review is for Mulots Patisserie, Hyde Park SA

Mulots Patisserie is yet another cute little shop located down King William Road. They make a wonderful vegetarian potato pie (which my friend convinced me was egg free, not sure about that though), and the staff are very friendly. The price can be rather high, depending on what you buy, but you're paying for the location (surrounding cafe's are no cheaper!)

This review is for Ohh Sushi, Hyde Park SA

verified email - 10 Nov 2009

Ooh Sushi is a very cute store located down busy King William Street in Adelaide. Their prices are rather expensive for a sushi restaurant, but it suits the location. The staff are very friendly, they have a decent range of sushi, and they do table service. Most importantly, their food is fresh and delicious!

This review is for Crafter Medical Centre, Hawthorn SA

verified email - 07 Nov 2009

Crafter Medical Centre has been my preferred doctors practice for over a decade now. All of the doctors are very professional, and the secretarial staff coordinate appointment times very well. They're always happy to see you and explain the ins and outs of any treatments, as well as alternatives. Also, unlike some of my past doctors, they have never been disrespectful or arrogant.

This review is for Shinjuku Japanese Restaurant, Hyde Park SA

verified email - 07 Nov 2009

Shinjuki is named after a popular commercial area of Tokyo, quite fitting for a restaurant located down King William Street. They do a range of foods, specializing in sushi and a variety of hot meals, as well as serving an exclusive range of teas. I am not familiar with their hot meals, but their sushi is very fresh, and their Japanese green tea is to die for (perfect on a hot day). Prices are relatively high ($3-$3.50 for a sushi roll), but you're not only paying for the sushi but the location too.

This review is for Chao Shan Restaurant, Hyde Park SA

verified email - 07 Nov 2009

Chao Shan is a new Chinese restaurant located in the heart of King William Streets shopping district. Although the shop is very small (as are most in that part of King William), it is very well presented, and the staff are friendly. Unlike a lot of Chinese restaurants, the menu is relatively small, but they do have a wonderful variety. One of my favorite dishes is the 'Chao Shan special deep fried bean curd', absolutely delicious! Their vegetarian menu is lacking a little (comprising of just three dishes), but my partner really enjoyed the 'string bean in peking sauce' dish. Prices are relatively expensive (probably to keep up with the rent in that area), but meals are delicious and service is good.

Approximate cost: $14

This review is for Fu Lin Chinese Restaurant, Goodwood SA

verified email - 06 Nov 2009

Fu Lin is similar to a lot of other Chinese restaurants in that it has a large variety of dishes from which to select. Unfortunately, the last two times I've eaten there, the quality has been slightly less than expected, and the food didn't taste all that fresh. Service is quick, and quite good, and the value is also reasonable, but the quality was a bit on the low side (they may have just had a few bad days?).

Approximate cost: $11
