This review is for Indochine Noodle Bar & Restaurant, Glenelg SA

verified email - 18 Nov 2009

Indochine is truly a wonderful restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly, the dishes are always tasty and fresh, the portion sizes are large, and the prices are very reasonable. The menu is lacking in authenticity, so if you want 'real' asian foods, then it would be best to hit china town, but for a bay location, the freshness makes their menu just right for the beach. I would have to recommend their vegetarian fried noodles.

This review is for Cafe Michael 2, Adelaide SA

I thought Cafe Michael 2 was a rather unusual name for a restaurant that specialises in Thai food, but the minute you step in and look at the menu you'll be impressed at the range and authenticity of their dishes. They prepare the tastiest and freshest Tom Yum soup I've ever had, and they also serve up an absolutely delicious Northern Jungle Hot & Sour Chicken Curry. The prices are relatively high, but they match the serving portion sizes and quality, so it's well worth it. Service is friendly and relatively efficient, highly recommended.

This review is for Caffe Bravo, Norwood SA

verified email - 18 Nov 2009

In my opinion, Bravo specialises in coffee - although their food tastes nice (last time I visited I ordered their bruschetta, which was fresh and tasty), they do some of the best coffees down the parade. It can get pretty busy and loud on occasion, but that adds to the atmosphere, and their outdoor dining area is wonderful on a warm evening. It's hard to stand out from the crowd down the parade, Bravo manages to do it though.

This review is for Zest Cafe Gallery, Glenelg SA

A cafe with a difference - at Zest, you can not only sit down for a tasty coffee and snack, but you're also surrounded by art from local and international artists. They have a lovely cosy outdoor dining area which feels very casual and homely. Other cafes in the area do a slightly better coffee and nicer foods, but not by a country mile - if you want something different and special, Zest is a great option.

This review is for Yakumi Comtemporary Japanese Cuisine, Glenelg SA

verified email - 18 Nov 2009

Yakumi is a modern contemporary Japanese restaurant located down Jetty Road in Glenelg. The service is excellent, and the quality of food is also quite high. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, so choosing what you want to eat isn't as easy as you'd think, with a magnificent range of sushi and sashimi - if you're a fan of Japanese cuisine and you haven't visited Yakumi, then you don't know what you're missing!

This review is for Bliss Organic Garden Cafe, Adelaide SA

verified email - 18 Nov 2009

Bliss Organic Cafe is a brilliant addition to a bustling central market dining region. It has a very earthy feel to the place, and it just seems natural to eat there. The food is always fresh and, being vegan, extremely healthy! They do a great signature 'Bliss burger', with a nutty patty, salad, sprouts, onion jam and tomato sauce, on a rye bun. If you're near the central markets and feel like something fresh, then visit Bliss (beware: Carnivores steer clear!)

This review is for Villanova Caffe Cucina, Norwood SA

verified email - 18 Nov 2009

Villanova has a very relaxed and modern feel about it, and is more for casual dining than a former dinner (as is suggested by it's mounted televisions). It specialises in Italian cuisine, and unfortunately in this respect it doesn't stand out from the myriad of other Italian cafe/restaurants out there. They make a nice selection of pizzas and pastas, and their coffee's are usually nice, so if you're in the area it's worth paying them a visit.

This review is for Beyond India Restaurant, North Adelaide SA

verified email - 17 Nov 2009

Beyond India is one of my favorite Indian Restaurants in Adelaide, as they make a wide variety of delicious and relatively inexpensive vegetarian dishes. My favorite being the Saag Paneer (as they make their own paneer), the dhal is also delicious, as are the vegetarian samosas. The restaurant itself is quite modern in appearance, although their walls are lined with statues of indian deities, which adds a nice touch.

This review is for The Greek Mezze, Adelaide SA

verified email - 17 Nov 2009

The Greek Mezze is a very modern looking restaurant that's super white (it reminds me a bit of the classic photographs of white stone buildings overlooking cliffs in Greece). Their cuisine is predominantly authentic - the dolmades make for a delicious entree, and my partner was extremely partial to their rustic goat stew. Will visit again.

This review is for Wellington Hotel, North Adelaide SA

verified email - 17 Nov 2009

The Wellington Hotel provides a very interesting and memorable dining experience when it comes to hotels. The dining room itself has a gorgeous atrium, and the atmosphere is quite relaxed. They serve a variety of meals, but I think the burgers stand out (probably because they serve a vegetarian burger!). The vegie burger is delicious, consisting of a falafel patty, cheese, tzatziki and salad, and my boyfriend is a big fan of the wellyburger (although his waist line isn't, as it's very hearty!).
