Work Required and delivered:
Galvanised iron roof replacement with colourbond (house and unattached garage) ; replacement of guttering ; redirecting down-pipes ; partial fascia replacement; shared guttering replacement (duplex)

Comments: Roof repairs of this magnitude is fraught with potential problems and getting a trustworthy and professional contractor will minimise the stress involved. Robert came within 24 to inspect of my call and organised a quote which was forthcoming within 24 hours after that. Roof Seal had already been contacted, and had visited to gather background for the quote (although I waited 1 week, Roof Seal did not provide a quote once they knew that Shamrock were competing, even though Roof Seal were offering 33% discount as a TV offer at the time).
Upon paying a modest deposit (approx $2k), work commenced as arranged 3 weeks later (rain unavoidably did delay completion of other jobs so our wait was slightly longer, but that was no big deal).
The team who undertook the work were friendly, courteous professional, and happy to explain what they were doing. They were also attentive to our questions and special requests, and accommodated us without fuss or complaint.
The work including cleanup was completed inside of 3 working days, to our total satisfaction.
The office admisitrative staff were also terrific, coordinating and communicating between Rob, the field team and ouselves. In all, I can honestly say that we could not be happier with the result, nor with the cost which under the circumstances was what our home budget demanded.
Well done, Shamrock!

A relatively simple job of exchanging old taps for new and re-seating the base unit. We provided the new taps, and Andrew did the changeover of the taps with the re-seating. We phoned late Friday afternoon, and Andrew came on Saturday afternoon. We were very pleased with every aspect of Andrew's work from his being on time, as well as his communication and friendliness. He also informed us of what he needed to do and went about it efficiently. We wont hesitate to call for him again should circumstances necessitate.

While there are plenty around there is nothing more frustrating or more difficult than finding a proficient, experienced, friendly and versatile hairdresser. Nameer has been cutting my hair now for over a year, and I bless the day I walked into his salon, although for many years, I had walked past and never entered. Nameer's skills are top notch, and I have seen him skillfully perform both the traditional haircut styles, as well as the new younger generation looks. He is attentive and does a superlative job. His rates are in line with or cheaper than most hairdressers whom I have tried, but it's the results that bring me back every time. Catering for pensioners as well as the mainstream, you will find him in demand, but any wait is well worth it.

A fabulous not so well known restaurant in downtown Lygon Street, Brunswick. My partner & I are regular customers and never miss an opportunity to introduce our friends to the Bamboo Garden. The food is Chinese / Vietnamese and is prepared from the freshest ingredients. I cannot say that I have tasted better food at such a modest price anywhere else in my travels around Australia. The service is superlative, and never have I or our guests ever been disappointed with the delicious flavours and variety of mouth watering cuisine. Much of its clientel are oriental in background so I guess there isn't much higher recommendation than that. Try the Bamboo Hut with your friends and I promise you will not walk away unhappy with the mouth-watering food, the service or the price!

Joshua responded to my request for a quote on a tricky job involving cutting back sizeable branches overhanging a neighbours yard and general pruning a mature and tall willow. While we finally (after much deliberation) went with another business, I was so impressed with Josh's promptness, professionalism, obvious skill and knowledge and friendliness. I was sad I wasn't able to give him the business this time, but I have promised to use his service next time around.
I realise that womo's guidelines ask that the business actually have performed the work, but under the circumstances, I would certainly recommend interested homeowners to include them when getting a quote, as they are highly competitive, relatively inexpensive and a quality business.

The job, while relatively small was tricky and involved removal of several sizeable branches overhanging the neighbour's yard, as well as the general pruning of the same tree to prevent interference with the TV antenna and leaf debris from clogging up the guttering.
Anthony visited promptly was able to give a highly competitive quote, and we book the job in that day for 2 days hence. Dave and a workmate came and cruised through the job effortlessly, and were friendly, professional and constantly asked my input whether there was anything further they could do for me. They cleaned up beautifully and I took pleasure in paying immediately.
Thank you boys for a job well done!

I have used PayPal both as a buyer as well as a seller, over the past 4 or so years and on regular occassions. Frankly, I find their commissions rate expensive, their foreign exchange rates are less for the AUD (you pay more than you should for items in US$ and UK pounds). As a buyer I resent paying to use my debit card, but PayPal charge for that. They also have "e-cheque" as a payment type sometimes when debiting my bank account, meaning delays in the seller receiving the cleared funds and therefore the delivery of the purchase.
On the aspect of security, I am reasonably relaxed, however, I have received hoax emails from con artists purporting to be PayPal. When I have reported this to PayPal, they do not do anything other than confirm it is a hoax email. No attempt to trace and prosecute the offenders seems to occur, as further emails from the same mob often arrive subsequently.
In short, I avoid PayPal whenever possible, but sometimes it can't be avoided.

Replacement of 17 metres of 2.5 metre shared fence with new treated pine fence with capped metal studs. Arrived at appointed time. Friendly and informative. Fast and experienced tradesman managed to demolish old fence, and construct new all in 1 day! This was in spite of being a man down (normally a 2 man job!). Beautiful result, and appreciated by residents on both sides of the fence. I am pleased to have this opportunity to provide feedback for a terrific business.
