my kids love the melbourne aquarium. its such a beautiful place. only 2 downsides it strangely has a cafe that mainly serves seafood? and it is a very short experience for the money. don't expect to be at the aquairum all days you will be lucky to be in there for more than an hour. i would love to go to a funtion there with all the fish around. its a lovely setting.

i stayed here for a weekend away recently. i had purchased a voucher for 2 nights accomodation with breakfast. the place is very hard to find in the dark. when we did arrive the key was not under the mat where i was told it would be. i called the owner and had to wait about 15 minutes in the car while it was cold & raining for the owner to call back. i was then told there was a code required for a key safe and that i was emailed the code earlier that day. i was not emailed the code and i was able to access my email on my phone also. the accommodation itself is quite nice. a spa and open fire. good dvd collection, books etc. there was breakfast provision of muesli and lots of spreads and butter and a toaster but no bread. i had to go and buy some the next day. the bedroom is upstairs and there is a huge triangle window above the bed that did not have a curtain or blind of any kind. apparently someone had broken it previously and it was yet to be replaced. i was extremely unhappy about this as you could see people outside their house on their porch next door so i had to get changed down stairs and duck down the rest of the time so i couldn't be seen. cloudhill 2 is attached to cloudhill 1. the 2 people who were in cloudhill 1 spent the entire 2nd night fighting extremely loudly. i understand this isn't the owners fault but doesn't make for a romantic weekend away. i have voiced my unhappiness with the owner and was offered a midweek stay (still paying though) i will not take up this offer as i get a more romantic experience staying at home.

this place is really nice. looks really dingy & dark from the outside but it really big and nicely decorated inside. i had a mixture of roast vegetables and it was lovely.

this place is a proper coffee shop. lots of different types of coffee to choose from. also they sell coffee cups & coffee etc. the cafe is really trendy but very busy.

this is a very nice bakery. i had some cannolis there and they were delightful. it can be very busy though and also hard to get a park at time. they do amazing cakes to order

the food here is fantastic. the special fried rice is to die for. it has so many ingredients including juicy chicken that you can have it as a main meal. everytime i have been there the owner has thrown something extra in.

this place has really nice fresh food. its really cheap as well. the downside is that it is sooo busy. the service is pretty much non existent. you have to get your own water and don't expect much attention. however they have a slurpee machine up the back and you can get as many as you want for free. i would suggest ordering the second you sit down. if you wait to peruse there will be no one coming over to check on you.

this is a cool place to go for a drink before or after a movie. they have food also. it can get quite busy on the weekend. beware they make you give over your drivers licence and scan it.

the food here was nice but the restaurant has a strange vibe. there is no atmosphere whatsover it was really quiet and diners just kept looking at each other.i ordered a bottle of wine as it was a special occasion and i got a bad look from the waiter when she asked if my husband would share with me and i said no he doesn't like wine.

this is a nice cafe next to kmart in knox city. its a good spot to have a rest when you are shopping. there is booths at the back. the coffee is lovely and the menu looks interesting & quite cheap. the hot chips were delicious & a huge serve.
