The restaurant is quite large, with the tables well spaced and an extensive menu. Had one of the lunch specials, which was reasonably priced. I had the braised beef and hubby had one of the noodle soups. The food came out really quickly, which we were really impressed by at the time. But now thinking back, it may have been the reason why something didn't agree with my stomach. Hubby had a similar experience too. I'm assuming either the food wasn't cooked well enough or it wasn't stored / handled properly. I haven't been game enough to try eating here since. But hopefully when I do some of their food handling practices have changed.
Hubby took me here as a surprise for my birthday and we absolutely loved it! We ordered the whole burramundi with papaya salad, duck in plum sauce and calamari & soft shell crab. I can't choose which dish was my fave as all three were absolutely delish, each having their own unique taste. Also their dessert "full moon" is warm cassava served with ice cream. Yummy! Service was exceptional. We were greeted with friendly smile and was attended to regularly to make sure we were happy with our food. Will definitely come back here again.
Approximate cost: $20-35
A great inexpensive family day out! My 19 month old had a blast and did not want to leave as he kept wanting to ride the trains!!
Admission is free. Train rides on Thomas & his friends $6 per child & accompanying adult. Tickets cheaper if you buy bulk. The onsite kiosk has reasonably priced foods. Can book/hire picnic areas & BBQs. There's also a small memorabilia store where you can purchase Thomas merchandise.
I was referred to this group of GPs by a family friend shortly after I gave birth to my son. I was told that this practice has a special interest in the care of children, young adults and their families. So I took my son here for his first lot of immunisation at 6 weeks and have been taking him here ever since. The level of care that each of the doctors we've seen are second to none. They take the time to educate and counsell you with whatever you need, encourage you to ask more questions, and follow up whenever necessary. Needless to say I am more than happy with the level of care and service that we've received from this group of doctors. Reception staff are helpful and friendly. They are open 7 days a week. Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8am-8pm, Tuesday & Friday: 8am-6pm, Saturday: 8am-1pm, and Sunday: 2-6pm. Only downside is that eventhough they use an appointment based system, during their busier days like most popular GPs, you may find yourself waiting for quite some time.
I love this little Japanese shop! Their shop attendants are always friendly and generally provide a good serving of food, no matter if its take away or eat in at the food court. Whenever we're at Westpoint, we stop by for lunch here almost every time. I particularly love the Thai chilli chicken and teriyaki chicken dishes. Only downside is, I think prices have gone up from what I remember.
I've been going to this Asian supermarket for years. They pretty much stock everything (in bulk too) you could possibly want/need from an Asian store, somewhat of a one stop shop...from spices to take away containers. Store is set up as a typical Asian supermarket, with limited room, just enough for you to move around with a trolley. Price is reasonable enough. However, could improve on customer service.
Had a very pleasant Mother's Day breakfast here. Eventhough the place was packed with other families celebrating Mother's Day as well, staff still delivered great service with a smile. They have a good variety of dishes on their breakfast menu. We tried the Big Breakfast & Eggs Benedict with Salmon. Good tasting food, with a good serving. However, dishes were a little on the pricey side. Overall, great experience.
Have been buying chicken & chips here for years, since I was in high school, which was over 10 years ago! Flavour of chicken & chips has remained consistent and they still have their 2 piece & chips special. Service here was always great but lately, I'm not sure if it's cause of a new owner or just new staff, it hasn't been the same, still efficient but not as friendly as it used to be.
Although I havent been since my son was born, I love going to Blacktown Drive In! It's such great value, given the price of regular movie tickets these days and most of all, such an experience! To be able to go out to watch movies on a big screen, in the comfort of your own space in/or around your car, in your pyjamas and gorging on your fave foods and snacks, is an awesome feeling! Plus when its finished, once you get home you're ready for bed...whats not to love about that?! LOL I'm so glad we have one so close to home, as I would definitely love to take my son there one day when he's a little bit older. Staff on duty whenever we go are always friendly and helpful. If I have to fault anything, it would be the toilet amenities..its ok, clean enough but really dated..a little sprucing would make it much better. I truly hope that Blacktown Drive In sticks around for quite some time to come!
I went here for lunch with work colleagues. The restaurant is located in what appears to be a dodgy alleyway next to the Roxy and had the feeling of a very busy bustling Asian city. The restaurant was packed and all waiting staff were occupied. I tried the sambal which I found quite nice and a generous serving. Around our table I got the general consensus that everyone enjoyed their food. Price was reasonable as most of us chose from the lunch specials. However, service by the wait staff could be better, as to some it may come off as rude. In my opinion, I think its just a communication barrier (most staff speak little English) and also because of the busy atmosphere, given the amount of patrons they have to attend to. Would come back here because of the food...which the impression that I got from other patrons as well.
