Most people in Adelaide would know about Assagio on King William Road - stunning restaurant and food, so I was very happy when they opened the cafe version at Newton. It has taken me 9 months to get my husband to take me but I am glad I waited. They cater very well for larger groups (we had 10) and the service was exceptional. We had the most amazing waiter who was helpful and friendly without being pushy and obnoxious. The food is amazing - top quality like the king william road restaurant - and the dessert - what can I say - AMAZING. The lemon tart...........mmmmm. They have mini desserts so you can have multiples without feeling too guilty.

Parking is a bit squeezy - we parked over at the Target and walked across - and you most definitely need to book - it was busy even on a Wednesday night. I am going back next week for an entree platter and dessert with the girls............. this may become a naughty habit!

It cost us in the vicinity of $500 for 10 of us - entree, mains, desserts, wine & beer. Everyone was exceptionally happy and satisfied which is really rare in large groups! Even though this is their 'cafe" it is in no way a lower standard than the silver service restaurant. Kid friendly too!

We just took our cat in to be washed (or shaved if need be) as he has had fleas that I just could not get rid of! He was due for his shots, so popped him in before work, and they rang me to tell me to grab him at 5.45 so I could meet with the vet to have a chat and they didn't need to shave OR sedate him - he happily submitted to be washed. They must be cat whisperers! The vet was friendly and we had a chat when we picked him up. I much prefer the smaller clinics than the big ones where the vets move around a lot - you can see the same vet this way. They could have easily sedated him and shaved him anyway and charged me more - but they didn't. I really appreciate the honesty and integrity shown.

Another shout out the Adrian - he did mine and my Husbands tattoos - the shop is very clean and tidy and they have been there for YEARS!! Prices pretty much the same as across Adelaide.

Gritti Palace has been around for quite sometime now - they are not the cheapest around and it is hard to get a car park but the senior stylists/directors really know how to cut hair. I used them for many years - and only swapped due to my best friend becoming a hairdresser. I went back for a colour not too long ago as my friend was away and was still impressed with the service - funky, friendly and great drinks, neck massage and they have just re-vamped the salon as well. They are not cheap, but for a day of pampering I think it is worth it. If you are getting a cut, I would always book a Director or Senior Stylist first - they really are the best and although they can cost $50+ more, it is worth it.

Great location - I often pop out early to take the post after work and get a quick facial - they offer dermalogica and other quality products. The girls are really friendly as well. They are not the cheapest in the area, but they have helped with my problem blackheads - we are slowly getting them to go!

Beautiful Facials! This company offers a lovely salon as well - own room and quality with a quilt instead of a towl - I love dermalogica and they offer this product with their facials. Well worth a visit.

The K-mart tyre and Auto next to the Coles Express Service Station can sometimes be missed - but it is a great location. They offer reasonable rates and turnaround time for minor mechanical repairs and I get my car serviced there also. Good location close to the City.

Great Gardener - we use Vince for our rental properties and he is great! Excellent work ethic and he can always get it done. Reasonable Prices as well. Eastern Suburbs.

This florist has been revamped (or taken over) - and wow! - it is just gorgeous! Often stop in and pick up something on the way home from work.. (my guilty pleasure!) and they have an amazing range - they are very well presented and the shop itself is to die for! They wrap in hessian and big leaves - different and for the discerning flower buyer. (although I am sure they could do cello if you wanted)

Good range of gifts as well.

Great Doctors! Open early on weekdays and also Saturdays. You have to pay $55 upfront but it is worth it for the quality doctors they have on offer - they actually call you with results! Some of the doctors also work at the Oakden Medical Centre - but I find for myself that I have been going to Windsor Village more as the IMVS next door is less busy if I need a blood test that day. They often bulk bill for result appointments as well.
