The first time I went to this beautician to get my eyebrows waxed, they got me in right away. The beautician cleaned them up beautifully and also provided me with a complementary tint as well
Approximate cost: $18
I've been to many Gloria Jeans stores around Sydney and abroad. 9 times out of 10 its great. This store is one of the stores that really disappoints me. After ordering a simple latte, I proceeded to wait over 15mins to be made. I asked what was the hold up, and the man behind the counter proceeded to inform me that the order was forgotten! It wasn't even that busy. I've worked as a barista and having 3 people's coffee to make in one go isn't too much to ask
The store is a little bit weird when you walk in. It feels like a warehouse with all sorts of party supplies available and freezers with party foods like pies and sausage rolls. At the counter there is a large fridge with many different types of cake - cheesecake, mudcake, profiteroles, even the humble tea cake. I've tried most of their cakes - I must say the caramel mudcake - yummo!
Nice and friendly local chemist. The pharmacist and staff are friendly. This place has been there since forever. I've been there since I was a little girl and my parents have been there well before I was even around. Some good household cleaning specials can be found out the front
I've been going to this medical centre for years. You can choose your own doctor there or get whoever is next available. I go to the same doctor and he's hilarious. Even getting a needle from him is fine, as you don't even know it's happening! Bonus it's a bulk-billing medical centre too
Getting a haircut at the local salon is no dramas. There wasn't a need to get an appointment. The staff that were work were really nice. In past years I've gotten them to do some strange upstyles for me and they do it (very well I might add)
Plus I love my current hair style that they did for me. I just gave them a vague description of what I was after and they did an amazing job
If you can get past the garish neon sign outside and wander in - its worth it. Always fresh chicken and the garlic sauce to die for!!!! Even when I'm poor I can eat like royalty here
Approximate cost: $10
I've had a number of problems with their home delivery. On various occasions, there has been the wrong toppings on the pizza, sides not delivered, or wrong sides delivered. If you live in the area, try and find a different Dominos to deliver to you. This one is just hopeless
I love this place. In a little place like Belfield, finding a restaurant that is both tasty and classy is a big push. This place does it. The woodfired pizza is fantastic. Their pasta's too. I am a little lazy though, so I tend to get home delivery (even though I could walk there...I stress could). Great thing when I deliver - the meal arrives on or before the quoted arrival time
Having been to No Names at Norton St Leichardt, I had expectations that this place would at least come close to it - it sure doesn't!
It was near impossible to communicate to the waiter and other staff in the restaurant. It took about 6 attempts to confirm my order. There are no drinks for sale in the store. The do provide water or cordial - available to drink from containers that look as though they once contained some sort of industrial solvent. There's dodgy and cheap and then there's just plain dodgy. If you want better quality food for the same price, go to the No Names at Norton Street. Do not even bother going into this place. Good luck finding it in the first place though. I only happened upon it after I entered a cafe.
