It's all about the seafood here. The view is wonderful over the water & their service is always top notch. The menu is very gourmet (in my opinion, it's over the top) & the first time we went here I couldn't find anything on the menu that I liked the sound of. And then I discovered the seafood platters. I recommend the crab - messy but beautifully cooked!
We've been eating here for so long they are practically family! Their banquets are extravagant & the food is always spot on. The staff are great fun & the service is fast, fast, fast.
Location, location, location! This place is a real treat, on a summer evening, overlooking the surf & setting sun. The prices are astronomical but the food surprisingly lives up to it & it's service with a smile all the way. In winter, it's pretty blustery so if you want to enjoy the great outdoors, definitely check it out in summer.
The staff are great, they take the time to get to know you before taking your order. The pastas & pizzas are fantastic here, and it has a great atmosphere. I love sitting there at lunch time watching the world go by.
We had a spider infestation, & called Adams Pest Control to spray our house. They did such a thorough job, spraying inside & out, & trying to cover all the cracks in the house for good measure. We noticed a huge difference in just a few days, & while we didn't see any spiders, we would wake up to find them on the windowsills & carpet, along with ants & blow flies! Sad but effective. After about a year, it started to wear off & after finding a red back on the toilet seat, we called them back again for round two.
The guys here are relaxed professionals. They get the job done without any fuss & they're flexible to what you need. We went there for a insurance claim & they went over & above to do the work within our time frame. The only downside was that they forgot to take down the serial number so we had to take the car back again to get the correct part installed.
The prices are reasonable, the meals are huge & it's a great atmosphere all round. The only down side is the backpackers next door which gets noisy as the evening wears on.
Laurel Tree Cottage is just like it sounds.. It's country charm, & fresh food is worth stopping in for. When we walked in, after having driven 6 hours, we were greeted with a warm country welcome. It's real customer service, old style!
This is a true blue outback pub, complete with the locals in their stubbies out the front with their dogs by their feet, having a cold one. It's classic! When you rock up your expectations are low, but the food here is as good as any city pub! The chips & chicken parmigiana is surprisingly good, & even the salad is fresh. This place is a find.
The staff are so friendly here & they do the best big breakfast in Lorne. It's a popular place for the bikers to drop by on a Sunday morning, which adds a whole lot of colour & atmosphere to the place. We also love their apple crumble, which is one of the best we've ever had.
