I've been here on a few visits and what a beautiful place and fantastic food, We ordered the polenta, caprese salad and pate for starters, followed by the meatballs and the tiramisu for desert. All the food was really tasty and we all really enjoyed our night. Great attention from the staff.

Make sure you book to not be disappointed. It's a small restaurant that is big on quality. We started with a complimentary taste of a fish and smoked paprika soup which was lovely. Nice bread accompanied the meal, more given as the night progressed. We shared the daily special for 2 being a whole lamb shoulder cooked for 12 hours, with mash, rainbow chard and a to die for fennel salad. The lamb was so pure it was like eating it in the paddock. Wine suggested was superb. Dessert was an amazing chocolate malt with mousse, ice cream and other chocolate things. My husband had a delightful tropical inspired pistachio cake. Nice cup of tea and a chocolate petit four rounded out a fabulous evening in this cosy restaurant. Price was less than we expected. We'll be back.

We stayed for 2 nights in a king size bedroom. The bed was comfy and the toilets clean, showers powerful and fitted with modern furnishings. Staff were very friendly and were all out to help international travelers like us, including hailing a cab. It has free WiFi, the cheapest breakfast and the cheapest minibar I have seen in Australian hotels. It is definitely excellent value for money. The hotel is located just a stone throw away from the Hobart Travel Center, which is where most tours depart, It is also within walking distance to the wharf, with many floating restaurants, and about 10 minutes walk to Salamanca Market, the museum and the ferry cruise to Port Arthur.

This review is for Grand Vue Private Hotel, Battery Point TAS

Grand Vue Hotel is very well located in the beautiful and historic suburb of Battery Point. Our room had a magnificent corner bay window which overlooked the glorious Derwent river, with its yachting and canoeing, and also back up toward Mt Wellington across the heritage rooftops. The hotel is a short walk to the cafes, galleries and shops of Salamanca, and central Hobart. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. We will be recommending this hotel to our friends, and are looking forward to staying here again on our next visit to Hobart.

We had an amazing time here. The wildlife was varied and beautiful. Loved the devils and the birds too. The galahs are gorgeous and real extroverts. We did the night tour which was very special. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The highlight was having the sugar gliders climbing on us. I love this place and hope to return with family.

This review is for Luxe Bakery Cafe, Newtown NSW

Luxe Bakery is a cute bakery/cafe hidden just off the main drag of King Street. The food is pretty great (house cured salmon an poached egg $16 is to die for) but the coffee (at least on this particular day) is seriously average. Staff are friendly despite the chaos of take-away counter orders and table service. Newtown is a little lacking in great breakfast spots so this is a good one keep in mind.

Not many Sydney patisseries are as accommodating to everybody's dietary needs and given the experience I had, not many would even bother to reply. I was surprised (and delighted) when Chris and his team at Black Star pastry sent a promising reply for a special cake and it only got better from then on.The storefront is consistently stocked with the freshest and most vibrant array of pastries, breads and desserts backed by friendly staff. The bakers here are not only very knowledgeable but very passionate about the food they make and it radiates through their personalities, through their pastries and of course, on the award-lined wall.

I absolutely love this place! The fact that you never know what will be on the menu makes for a great excuse to frequent it often! This evening we shared a savoury and a sweet pie. We were there around 7 and found it surprisingly busy - lots of people eating in. The place is so small and cozy that my sister and I felt totally comfortable leaving our bags on the table while we went and had a peek on what was on offer.Savoury: we had the creamy chicken with hot seeded mustard & mushrooms with a side of leafy salad and potato salad. DELISH! The servings are quite generous so sharing a pie was a good idea so we could fit in a sweet one. The Dirty Granny cider was really nice too as was the ginger beer with lemon.

The pastries here are YUMMMMMYYY!! We were having a family get together with afternoon tea and decided to get a few pastries and snacks from here. There is so much to choose from but the almond croissant is delicious, as is the caramel and chocolate eclairs, as well as some tasty savory breads like the sun dried tomato. The place is really cute and rustic and the staff is nice.

This review is for Wedge Espresso, Glebe NSW

I went to Wedge after several people told me it was one of the best brunch spots in Sydney.I'll keep this review short, as Yelpers have commented on how amazing the food is - and it is. I had the roast chicken sandwich with the iced tea which cost me $12.30 and The chicken was well cooked and perfectly seasoned, and the bread was scrumptious and crispy. The food came very quickly! Also, our waitress was a very lovely and patient girl.

Approximate cost: $12.30
