This review is for Eastwood Dry Cleaners, Eastwood NSW

verified email - 14 Feb 2014

I have used Eastwood Dry Cleaners services for the past few years. I had my wedding dress dry cleaned and boxed here and no issues at all. Had my big quilt dry cleaned as well.

Last week i took one of my work pants to be fixed, for some reason the zipper was broken and needed to be replaced! Dropped it off and spoke to staff and was quoted $22 - silly me thinking since they are Korean owned I tried to bargain and ask for $20 instead. Then they mentioned couldnt do it cos of the inside zipper. Haha, was a bit embarrassing but i thought i might give it a go asking for a discount.

Zipper is fixed, pants picked up, all sorted out :) happy customer - no complains!

This review is for Jessie Beauty Salon, Eastwood NSW

The last review for this beauty salon is from 2012. Since then Jessie has moved out and opened a new beauty salon - about 100 metres down the same street.

This beauty salon does not provide hair services (cuts, styles, wash etc) anymore. It only offers the beauty services, such as waxing, facials, beauty treatments, manicure and pedicure etc.

Jessie has always been friendly and tried to make me feel comfortable every time I visited her. Had my eyebrow shaped there which I liked because Jessie seems to take her time and very thorough with her work.

Had my facial treatment there a few times and Jessie knows my skin well. Definitely recommend her services and cost is very reasonable.

This review is for Cake Mania, Parramatta NSW

I am very happy with Wayne's service, seems to be very courteous and friendly all the times. I have dealt with him online, over the phone and face to face.

The shop might not look fancy etc but the quality of the cakes are excellent.

One of our favourites is the black forrest torte and you can tell it is homemade with fresh ingredients!

The cost is very reasonable and you don't need a special occasion to order a cake! Go and get one to try now for the weekend :)

Highly recommend Cake Mania to everyone for every occasions.

Good Malaysian food, quick service, friendly staff.

Worth the wait? Maybe...depending on your taste.

My opinion is they have good selection, food taste great and have tried the curry, roti bom dessert with ice cream, the drinks. However I think they charge too much for dessert especially or the entree.

There are other places to get Malaysian food in Chatswood or Sydney.

This review is for Castelmola Pizzeria, Leichhardt NSW

This place is has the best Italian food so far that I have ever tried! I used to live near the area and visited CastelMola pretty often and occasionally had home delivery which was great. This restaurant holds a special place for my husband and I. Not only we come here often, but I was proposed here, celebrated our birthdays and wedding anniveraries.

I love their Seafood marinara, and Gnocchi Gorgonzola was really good too. My husband's favourite is the veal dish with some seafood in brandy seeded mustard sauce called Vitello Di Mare. For entree we usually order the Garlic and herb pizzetta.

Staff are mostly Italian, friendly enough to come and chat to the tables.

The main meal costs from $25 to $40 and they also have their blackboard specials worth checking out.

highly recommend this place and for their menu here is the website link http://www.castelmola.com.au/a-la-carte.html

This review is for Chatswood Medical & Dental Centre, Chatswood NSW

verified email - 12 Feb 2014

My star ratings are based on my experience with 2 particular GP and not the medical centre as a whole.

I have been coming to this medical centre for the past 8 years and they have changed management and bulk bill or not several times.

Currently they bulk bill... and apparently cost too much for them to change the name of the medical centre, hence it is still called Chatswood 24 hour Medical centre although they finish at around 10pm if I'm not mistaken.

If you go for first available GP, they are always busy and expect to wait for hours....The GP on first floor basically see you, ask what do you need and that's it. You spend about 5 mins with the GP most of the times.

However I highly recommend Dr. Peter Townsend and Dr. Hanna Liechti whose office are on the 2nd floor most of the times. They spend time to discuss your health, medical issues or concerns. Both are very pleasant and very knowledgeable. This medical centre does not allow appointments and both doctors can be very busy. Usually about 2 hours wait for Dr. Townsend and Dr. Lichti has shorter waiting time.

From my observations, apart from these two GP above mentioned, and in my opinion the management encourages the doctors to see the patients quickly and as "cash cows"

Hope the review helps.

This review is for Suminoya, Sydney NSW

verified email - 12 Feb 2014

I have been to Suminoya about 3-4 times and loved every time when I dined there. It is great to dine with friends to share the bbq and I have also dined with one other person and equally fun.

Highly recommend you to make bookings and they seem to have two seatings for dinner and each lasts for 90 minutes. They will also remind you for last orders before the time is up.

Atmosphere is always good - restaurant is always crowded with customers.

Staff is always busy taking orders and most of the times they are friendly and accommodating.

Food quality is good for all you can eat Japanese BBQ buffet. They have two types of buffet, the normal and premium/gourmet which has better cut of meat and sashimi. The portions are really small, so you will have to order more plates than usual. But once you have been there, you would know how much to order.

The mesh for BBQ is $2 additional to the buffet and to replace it cost additional $2 which in my opinion should be provided free of charge.

Overall, good food with plenty of varieties and why not try this place if you havent.

This review is for No Gaps Dental, Haymarket NSW

verified email - 12 Feb 2014

No Gap Dental has many branches/clinics in Sydney and one of the is in Haymarket which is on George St just right before St. Peter Julian's Church.

Most of the basic services are bulk billed which means you dont have to pay the difference, hence it is called No Gap Dental.

I have my regular dentist and was advised I have two teeth need to replace the filling and might have to crown one of my teeth. I chose No Gap Dental due to the cost.

My first visit was about one month ago for general check up and they picked up on two teeth for filling replacement but not one for crowning. They took xray and cleaned my teeth. Staff and the dentist were friendly, communicated well.

I have another appointment to do the filling in a few days time and prior to this, I had to change the appointment times several times. Receptionist was very understanding and accommodating.

Fillings and no gap to pay, which is good for money and will update review once fillings are done.

This review is for Expresso Car Wash Cafe, West Ryde NSW

verified email - 11 Feb 2014

It seems to me that this place had changed hands/management several times the past few years.

We have taken our car here to be washed (inside and outside) few times last year. It was always a good job and were very pleased with the result. They also put a car deodoriser and hang it on your rear view mirror. Car always smelt nice after the service.

Cafe inside had Korean couple who made good coffee while we waited for our car to be ready.

--------------------------------------
Latest experience was just last Sunday, and we saw there is a sign "Express Wash" from $22 which was cheaper than the usual service we got (around $30ish).

We found out the Express Wash was just for the exterior of the car and decided on the Deluxe Wash instead - approx $32-35 (exterior and interior).

Went inside the Cafe and it was no longer run by the Korean couple. Coffee wasn't too bad - but I did not quite like how the coffee grinder was a bit sticky and a few beans stuck to the side (which means they havent cleaned it for a while).

Staff in general did not say much - didn't find them friendly unfortunately.

This time the car did not have any nice smell like it had just been serviced.

Overall, it was an ok job, the car is cleaned but rather disappointed.

This review is for Cafe Centro, Eastwood NSW

I have only been here for their coffee and in the area, this is the best coffee you can get.

Staff are always friendly and they use Mecca coffee (owner is related to the Mecca on King St in Sydney CBD)

Take away coffee was always quick whenever I was there or just to have in there.

No issues at all - if you love good coffee and in Eastwood, this is the place to get some.
