Went for lunch on a Sunday with 6 adults and 2 children. There is a varied menu to choose from but overall the food was average. They seemed to do basic things like chips, nachos well, but anything more than and the food was really bland. If it is your thing - the servings were HUGE, too much for a reasonable person to eat.
The venue was not that loud but then there were not many people there. Service varied, the guys were attentive, the girls seemed more interested in talking to the other workers. The tables were squeezed in pretty close to one another.

Approximate cost: $20

We went for dinner on a Saturday night, 4 of us. Was a really good night overall. Atmosphere was nice, food was great. Service was attentive but not in your face. There was a great selection of dishes and we didnt have to wait too long for our food.
The extra spicy dish could have been a little spicier (we like it really hot) but it still had great flavours. The ingredients were fresh and lean.

We regularly go to Dahus for a Peking Duck feast. You do not have to preorder your duck as you do in some other restaurants and can order as many as you want (we have ordered up to at least 6 before), they are very a reasonable price and very very tasty.

They also have an EXTENSIVE menu including some more exotic dishes including crocodile etc. Due to the variety, some dishes can be plain but other dishes are well worth it including the twice cooked pork shanghai style and salt & pepper squid.

The decor is pretty plain and a little tired, as are the staff. However we do not go here for either of these things as the duck allows us to look past it.

It is BYO wine and they tend to turn the other eye when bringing beer. Great place for a group bookings as well as smaller numbers.

Approximate cost: $15- $25

This is a little family run business with mum running the show and does she feel like your mum when you are there. She fusses over you and is always happy for a chin wag or if you just want to read the very current mags she leaves you to it.

The shop is basic and a bit tired however you get great value for money and she does not take hours and hours like most other salons. I have had various cuts and colors and have never been disappointed. My color has always worked and never dried my hair out. If she feels she has not got it right she will persevere until she is happy with it. It is extraordinary value for money.

The salon may be basic, they don't serve sparking and she doesnt color her hair in the latest craze, however she knows what she is doing, uses only good (un pretentious) products, is fantastic value and she doesnt try to force things on you or charge extra for each little thing she does. She also has an extraordinary memory for your name, sound of your voice, what you had done last time, very good customer service.

Approximate cost: $Approx 100, lots foils, wash, cut and blow wave

The pharmacists in this chemist are always obliging and very willing to help or answer your questions.

The assistant cashier staff are also very friendly and themselves know quite a lot about the various products but are also not afraid to ask for further information from the pharmacist if they feel they do not know enough.

There is a good range of products and the store is always neat and tidy.

I have been attending this clinic for some years now and this is one of the better that I have been to. Over the time I have seen a few of the different docs and all seem to be on the ball, thorough and very willing to assist.

My regular doctor supplies you with lots of information, is very supportive and is mostly on time!

The waiting rooms are large so you dont feel like you are sitting on top of one another and feel fresh.
There are nurses on full time who are very good. The reception staff can sometimes be a bit sourly.

Approximate cost: $Bulk bill in am, payment in pm.

We attended the bistro part of the hotel on a Saturday night of a very hot, busy weekend. There was 5 of us. They had 2 sessions going and both were booked out.

This is a typical, basic pub, nothing special in the set up or décor. The staff seemed friendly enough. You had to line up to order at the cashier and they bought the meals to your table when they were ready.

The menu was HUGE and varied a lot which may be why some of the dishes were good and others very average.
The fish dishes seemed to be good, the rest average. The vegetable risotto (which came out about 15 minutes after everyone else's) had the taste and consistency of a packet mix. The “Moroccan spiced” chicken breast did not actually have any spices on it.

The wine menu was varied and had a good selection to choose from.

There was meant to be a DJ starting at 9pm, he did not start until some time after 10 by which time most people had given up and left.

The facilities were clean and tidy.

We attended this restaurant as a group of 6 on a Wednesday night. It was very busy, the restaurant being full most of the time we were there with people waiting outside.

The food was delicious and of a high standard. The entrees and seafood were pretty good, the pasta and risottos were superb. The food was rich and generous and certainly had the home made taste/ feel about it. We did not have room for desserts but they looked fantastic as they were coming out.

The service was pleasant, obliging and were there when you went looking for them, particularly given it was so busy.

The décor was homely, intimate and comfortable. It was nice to see all the old photos of where the restaurant has grown from. Given it was on the small side it was not overly noisy.

BYO wine only.

Approximate cost: $20-30

We attended this restaurant on a Wednesday night with 5 of us, it was moderately busy but certainly no where near full.

Overall this restaurant was very disappointing on most levels.

The service was non existent, uninterested and very slow. It took over 2 hours for our meal to be served with very long waiting periods not only between courses but between dishes of the same course. When questioned the wait staff brushed it off saying it will be soon.
One of the dishes had to be repeatedly asked for and eventually turned up being the wrong dish. When we asked for the right dish to be bought out they looked at us as if we should just be accepting what they bought.

The ingredients and serves were stingy, the “spring rolls” no wider than a ladies finger being mostly pastry. The dishes did have ok flavour though.

Decor was basic but pleasant.

I attended this restaurant as part of a work function in the private dining room, there was 24 of us. Overall it was ok but somewhat disappointing. The facilities and view are top notch, especially on a sunny day for lunch like we had which helps improve the overall experience.

The food was of a pretty good standard, however the entree of prawns was a joke with each person getting 2 small prawns (they were meant to be banana prawns). The mains were nice but with no sides to speak of and the food did not all come out together.

The service was slow and the waitress had no idea on what the food was or if she was able to meet our requests. Wine that was ordered was not available as it was not cold.

Every second wine glass was filthy with grime, dust and old wine and the toilets needed to be tidied up.
