I always go in for their best drink on the menu (tried most of them), the hot choc mocha. At $5.75, its expensive and one needs to drink a bit of water to avoid sugar rush, but its delicious. I usually go for their Cake and Biscuit plate as well which at $5 WAS a good value but not at $5.50, so I stopped ordering it altogether.

We do it once every couple of months. Amazing Fun experience. Although it sucked a bit the last time i was there on 4th September. I have been there three times this year and Brad Oakes comes up with the exact same jokes all the time.
Food/drinks are good value but food lacks in variety. Lack of vegetarian options is a bit of put off. But then I eat out before the show and order some snacks and drinks as we go along at the place.

Nearest to my office, since its the only one around. Very Good coffee but I go there once a month, just because its $4.50 for a large latte. It burns holes in my pocket. Its the cost of small meal. my colleagues share the same sentiment, we all prefer to walk 10 minutes to go to Smoothe cafe on Dorcas Street ($3.60 for a large latte). Xinnia Cafe Bar Lounge‎, opposite Smoothe, better than all of these, $4.00 for a large latte and we stay healthy by walking a little.

Approximate cost: $4.50

I have bought their Brownie and Passion fruit Chocolate Gâteau several times. It is the best cake I have ever had in Melbourne. They dropped the quality the second time, as their cake didn't look the same as on website (they removed that little chocolate ball and the extra slice of passionfruit), but still was awesome. they have recently increased their prices for that cake by 11% in one go and I am hoping now their cake will look like it does on their website.

Approximate cost: $26-29

I regularly go there for Coffee (Amanti is the way coffee beans should be), orange flour-less cake and sticky date pudding, which are all awesome in my opinion. Their coffee is Perfect*, but, like many others, they lack consistency. The barista on Sundays is the best, he makes it perfectly and seemingly all the time, touch wood. Rest of the baristas fluff it up in one way or the other, mostly by making it too strong, resulting in overly bitter after taste, but its still good than most. I just hope they are ready to serve coffee at 7:30AM. Just because they don't, I go to huff bagelry next door. I also hope they keep their prices competitive as they are. I, like most of the people, hate to pay more than $3.50 for a large latte, regardless of how good it is.

Approximate cost: $3.50

Been there three times, mostly for morning take -away Coffee (just because Figjam doesn't open before 8AM). Everytime a different person made my coffee.
Two girls seemingly work there all the time. First time, one of the taller girls made my coffee and it was fantastic.
Second time, on a Saturday morning, a dude made my coffee and it was crap (coffee tasted burnt and milk was not steamed well at all). I should have returned it after one sip rather than feeling crap all the way by drinking it.
Third time, the other girl made my coffee and it was OK, somewhere in between the first two.
What have I learnt? Request for the taller girl to make my coffee.
Another good thing is the cost. I, like most of the people, hate to pay more than $3.50 for a large latte, regardless how good it is. I cannot understand how can cafes justify charging $5 for a coffee.

Approximate cost: $3.50
