my daughter and i decided to eat here while looking around the south Melbourne market on the weekend. all the food was set out extremely well and all named. I liked this as it made it easier for my daughter to choose what she wanted. my daughter ordered a small sweet & sour pork and chicken on noodles and i ordered a large curry chicken and beef and black bean on noodles. For both meals it only cost $14.00 which i thought was really cheap. We ended up sharing both our meals so we had a variety of different foods. We both loved the sweet and sour meals and beef and black bean but found the curry chicken to be a bit bland and dry. The beef and black bean could have done with a bit more meat as it was more veggies than meat but was still delicious. The lady that served us was very nice and the shop was very clean.

I booked here after finding it cheap on the internet. After booking and paying for the accommodation i found a lot of bad reviews on it, so was very worried when heading down to Melbourne for the weekend. i need not be as i found it to be better than a lot of places i have stayed in. yes it had its bad points but its good points out weighed the bad. we turned up about lunch time on Friday and the reception was very nice and spoke very politely. They let us in our apartment even though check in time was 2pm. The apartment was a 2 bedroom apartment which consisted of a queen bed in one room and 2 singles in the other. In the lounge you had 2 comfy couches, dining table, lcd tv, dvd player and a full kitchen. In bathroom there was a dryer and washing machine. I loved that they supplied washing powder, dish-washing liquid, tea towels, and basically everything you needed to clean apartment. The apartment was really clean other than a small stain on carpet as you walked in door. The bedding was very stylish and really nice. Ok the bathroom was a bit old looking but who needs a flashy bathroom. I had read in other reviews on the internet where they said the noise was really loud but i didn't find it any louder than other places i had stayed. yes the train runs right behind the apartments but by the second night i didnt really even notice them when they went passed. It is in a excellent location with train station around the corner, trams running close by and chapel st a block away. ok now on to the bad things....there arent many. Our heater didnt work in the room( but thankfully it wasnt to cold) one bedroom door got stuck and had to be opened from the inside, paint peeling off bath and a broken toilet seat. thats all i could find wrong with these apartments. i have booked to stay here again in 3 weeks time.

Approximate cost: $138 for 2 bed apartment

I have a few meals over the last few months while visiting friends in lavington and all i can say is the meals are really nice. I love how they have a different special on every night of the week. My favourite nights are Wednesday steak night and Thursday parma night. Out of the two parma night is still the best night though. I really do love parmas. I have only tried the Hawaiian parma and the nacho parma so far but the nacho parma is really really good. It is a breast schnitzel covered in salsa sauce, corn chips, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. yummo. All meals are served with chips and sald or vegies. The meals are really cheap with the parmas costing $12 and steak night i got tbone steak for $19 and the steak was huge.
The service and the staff are excellent and the the staff are always nice and friendly.
The hotel is nothing startling, it has that real pub atmosphere to it and the meals are really cheap and nice so i dont mind.

i went here with friends while holidaying in tassie over the Easter break and was really delighted with my meal and service. We were seated promptly and the waitress was very nice and smiled a lot. the night we went it was quite busy and I seen a few people that had walked off the street hoping to have a meal that couldn't get a seat so i would recommend booking before hand. Now as for the meals all i can say is their steaks are to die for. I ordered well done eye fillet and it was cooked to perfection. I did find it a little pricey but after seeing the size of the meal and tasting it i didnt care what it cost. all in all a superb meal and excellent service

my daughter started playing table tennis at this club at the end of last year and she has learnt so much. John, Helen and Bruce are really good with the kids and the way they teach the them is really good. I think the cost to join the club is really cheap with it only costing $45 a year and $4 a week for them to play matches as well as training.

i was pleasantly surprised by how nice the bistro area in this pub is. From the outside of the pub you would just think it would be the same as most pub bistros that are dark and pretty plain. Well this one is not anything like most. When I first walk into the bistro i thought i had walked into an upmarket hotel as the tables and chairs were really nice and quite flashy actually. The lighting was really good and the bistro itself was really impressive. What i loved the most is from anywhere in the bistro you can see into the kitchen and see where your food is being cooked and the kitchen was really clean. The waitress we had was really friendly and polite. She showed us the specials as well as the normal menu. As it was lunch time you had a choice of 6 or 7 different meals at $12 each. I had the chicken parma with chips and salad. For $12 the meal was quite large and was well set out on the plate. The parma was cooked to perfection and i loved how they used bacon instead of ham, it really gave it the extra flavour. The atmosphere was great and will definately be going back for another meal soon

This was my first time eating from here on the weekend and i am so amazed at how cheap they were. I ordered a piece of meat lovers pizza which i thought would be about same size as a normal slice of pizza. I was wrong it was huge. I would say it was more like 1/4 of a pizza. It has so much topping on it and was really tasty. That cost me $4.80. My daughter ordered a parma and chips which cost $10.50. she said it was really nice and it was decent size as well. The lady that serve us was really friendly and smiled a lot which i like to see when i go to places to eat. The layout of the food was good, you could see everything clearly and the prices were marked on all items. Would definitely go here again

i have been to this bakery a few times over the last couple of months and can not fault the service. the girls are always smiling, they are very polite and well spoken. If i could find a fault with this bakery, it would be that some items are expensive but you have to expect that in a tourist town. There have a huge range of pastries, rolls, sandwiches and hot food. I love going there first thing of a morning and buying one of their egg and bacon muffins..yummo better than anywhere i have been. My daughter loves their little meringues and has to have one everytime we go past here. i dont mind though as they are only $2. The bakery itself is always clean, there is a lot of space. There are tables inside and out to sit down and enjoy your food.

what can i say...here would sell the the nicest chinese food i have tried and talk about big meals. I ordered a plate with soy noodles, a little bit honey chicken and sweet sour pork. The plate was over flowing with food. It was so big that i had to ask for a takeaway container to take the rest of my food with me. I absolutely loved the honey chicken, it was so nice and succulent. The noodles were fresh and werent dry like a lot of other chinese places i have eaten at and had a lot of flavour. The lady that served me was very friendly and polite. the meal only cost $9.90 which i thought was good for the size

we recently ate here while shopping in the braodmeadows shopping centre and found the service to be outstanding. My daughter wanted a roast meal but because she didnt like roast pork (which was the special for the day), they let her have the roast meal without the meat but with anything else she wanted to have with it. she ended up choosing to have extra baked potatoes, baked pumpkin and scallop potatoes. The size of all this was quite big and only cost $6 which i thought was extremely good. The meals were very yummy and cooked to perfection. My daughter loved the roast pumpkin the best. As well as doing hot meals they also sell sandwiches, wraps, salads, juices, smoothies and a variety of other drinks. Will defintaly reccomend fancy fillings to friends and family
