i took my daughter here for the first time over summer and could not believe the size of it. It is huge inside and out. There is so much to do you dont know where to start. My daughter started inside as she really wanted to go on the water slide but found a lot more things to do than water slide. Inside there was the leisure pool which had a waterfall, fountains and water sprays. But the thing my daughter found awesome was the rapid river. she thought it was so good. It took me forever to convince her to come out side to have a look. when i finally convince her to come out we were surprised to find a heap more outside. There was a splash park which had splashing rainforest, seesaws, aqua fountains, water shooters, cannons and heaps more. This area is designed so kids of all ages can enjoy it. Then their was another leisure pool, beach volleyball courts and bbq areas. I likes the idea of having the bbq area as most of the other swimming centres i have been to you have to buy food from their cafes as you aren't allowed to bring food or drinks in with you. All the staff were helpful and very friendly. There was plenty of life savers on guard which i found good. The price was really good for the size and the amount of things there is to do. It cost me $3.50 for my daughter. will definitely being going here again soon.

This would be the best playground i have ever taken my daughter to. It is awesome. It is so big and there is so many different play equipment for kids to play one. There is a toddlers play area as well as a flying fox, big slides, cubby houses, sandpits, swings, fruit bin maze, forts, giant slide, tree house and lots more. My daughter loves the tree house and especially the talk to me system that lets the kids talk to each other through out the tree houses. I like that the playground caters for kids of all ages as well as for kids with a disability. There is heaps of shaded seating area for parents to sit at while watching their children play. There is a kiosk that sells a huge range of hot/cold food, drinks and icecreams. The staff are really good with kids and very friendly. I think the best part is that it only cost a gold coin donation and you can spend as long as you want there.

we went here on the last school holidays and found it a fantastic place for adult and kids to go to. The theme of the alley makes it so much more enjoyable with the glow in the dark lanes. I found it better than all the other bowling alleys i have been to. The staff are really helpful especially with little children with the bumper bowling. It was very refreshing to walk into and the colour scheme makes it outstanding. I found the prices to really reasonable with it costing $10 a game for kids and $12 for adults.

i went to this cinemas over christmas and found that it was easy to find. It was very neat and tidy. There is a little arcade for the kids to play the skills machines which keeps the kids occupied while waiting for the movie to start. when purchasing the tickets i found the price to be a little steep considering the size of the cinema. I recommend this cinemas as the customer service was great and very helpful

Approximate cost: $15

Since moving to mulwala we have been over to the splash park a few times and my daughter always enjoys herself. Although the water slide isnt as big as the mulwala one it is just as fun and a bit cheaper. It cost 60 cents a ride, 10 rides for $4.10 or all day for $9.30 which i think is brilliant. The splash park is all motion activated to save on water. my daughter loves running through the water sprays and trying to dodge the water spouts. As well as the water features there is a bbq area, shaded picnic area, public toilets and kiosk. The kiosk sells hot/cold food and drinks. My daughter loves spending the day here. It find it a cheap place to take her where it is safe, clean and family friendly. The staff on the water slide are nice and very friendly.

i have have my daughters birthday parties here so many times over the years i have lost count. The centre is built in an old water reservoir and is set out in a traffic and road theme. There is proper working traffic lights and the paths are marked with proper road safety markings. There are few bike supplied but you can also bring along your own. There is a BBQ area, playground, sheltered picnic area and toilets. The kids have so much fun riding their bikes and scooters around the pathways and stopping and giving away at the traffic lights. As well as the kids having fun they are also learning at the same time.
bookings are essential and should be booked 3-6 months before hand as it is very popular and books out very quickly. It costs $25 for 2 hours which i found a very good price and i loved the idea of being able to take your own food in and cook. Plenty of parking area out front. The centre has always been clean and tidy whenever i have been there

i have only been here once and was pleasantly surprised at how big the park was and the array of animals they have. I was expecting just a small park with a few different animals that had been rescued. I definitely didn't realise it was the largest wildlife park in Australia. Well i still didn't realise that when i first walked in, it wasn't till our tour guide told us. The amount of different animals was amazing. There was so many to see. There was devils, koalas, possums, wallabys, heaps of different birds, reptiles, deer, alpacas, bisons, donkeys, water buffalo just to name a few. there was so many i cant name them all. You can feed the kangaroos with the complimentary food you are given on arrival which is cool. But i think the best thing was being able to pat the koala. We spent 2 hours here but could have spent more time here if we didnt have other plans that day. The tour guide was really nice and very friendly. she really knew what she was talking about and you could tell she enjoyed her job immensely. There is cafe their where you can buy hot and cold food and plenty of seating. the staff in there were great and very patient when my daughter kept changing her mind on what she wanted. This park is vary family friendly and caters for all ages. It costs about $20 adult and $10 for children which i thought was an excellent price for the size of the park and the range of animals you get to see. I will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to tassie

Well what can i say this wildlife park is excellent. We have been there a couple times over the years and never get bored with going. Although it is not a zoo i think it is better as all the animals here are native Tasmanian animals except for the koala and they look after a lot of injured or orphaned animals. We have done the tour as well as walked around ourselves and found that the tour is a lot better. The tour guide was very passionate about his work and very informative. You could tell that all the staff love working with the animals. My daughter loved having a cuddle of the wombat she thought it was awesome. We got to hand feed the kangaroos and wallaby's which was pretty good but i think the best bit was seeing the devils being fed, that was pretty cool. There is a picnic area with BBQ so you can take some food and make a day of it. Although it cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids i didn't mind paying it as i know it all goes back into to help care for the injured animals

i took my daughter here for a couple of lessons but found the instructor to be a little impatient with my daughter so we pulled her out after the second lesson. My daughter was petrified of going into the pool so that probably didnt help the situation but i thought the instructor could have been a little more patient with her and used more coaxing to get her to go into the pool especially as i was paying $13 a lesson. although i found the instructor to be impatient i found all the other staff really nice and very talkative. The pool itself is a decent size and heated all year round.

my daughter loves going here. no matter how many times i take her she never gets bored with it. The staff are really good with kids. their is always a find and seek adventure game set up for the kids where they have to find australian animals throughout the museum and cross it off the piece of paper and then at the end of museum if they have found all of them they get a small piece of gold.I think this is a brilliant idea.
There is a lot of interactive and hands on displays throughout the museum. My favourite part is upstairs where is shows you the local history and mining. my daughter likes more of the mining part though especially the old mining cottage. Was interesting to go down to where the mine collapsed but both my daughter and I couldnt go into the recreation of the space where the miners were trapped. You will need a good couple hours to walk right through the museum if you want to get the most out of it. i think the price is brilliant with it only costing $16 for an adult and child.
