This review is for Brambuk - The National Park & Cultural Centre, Halls Gap VIC

I stopped here briefly on the way home from Halls Gap and was amazed to get to do something I'd never done before. I threw a boomerang! Ok, so I didn't catch it in my hand like the guy demonstrating did. It also didn't come back to me like it did to some of the children also trying. I did get to try though and what fun that was :) There is a lot to see at Brambuk and no way I could see it all in the available time; what I did see was interesting, fun and educational. The gift shop is expensive but that wasn't unexpected. Overall a fun time and somewhere I may visit again if in the area

I've been very impressed with womo so far and already had two positive customer service experiences. I had an email reply to one question within 24hrs and then phoned about something else I didn't understand and was readily helped by a cheerful and friendly staff member who more than answered my question. Just wish more of the businesses I want to use were reviewed already so I know better what to expect but hopefully that will come as people continue reviewing

This review is for Lindt Chocolate Cafe, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 01 Feb 2013

In small doses I love lindt chocolate and have been a regular purchaser over the years so I was excited to find a lindt shop in Melbourne. My excitement continued as I placed my order and waited for it's arrival. My chocolate drink thought instead of being enjoyable was a complete chocolate overkill. About three times as much milk in the glass would have made it more bearable and probably delicious but as it was I ended up feeling disappointed by the overpriced over the top drink and accompanying meal. I'll still purchase their chocolate but probably not visit the cafe again

This review is for Haigh's Chocolates, Melbourne VIC

As you walk through the doors (either entrance) to Haigh's you feel like you are stepping back in time. The next thought can usually best be summed up along the lines of "ahh, chocolate". Expensive chocolate, but so very tasty. Love their chocolate frogs although I've yet to try one of their giant ones (they do always look so tempting). Good service and great samples provide and a great range of chocolate and more chocolate. What's not to enjoy :)

This review is for Saffron Indian Restaurant, Geelong VIC

I've only recently found the Saffron Indian Cuisine and have to say it's a wonderful option for Indian delivery. Both times I've purchased the meal deal once with the dal and the other time with the korma; and for the other main option had their butter chicken. The butter chicken is absolutely incredible. Such a perfect blend of spices and is the main reason I'll buy from there again. I don't enjoy their samosas compared to some of the others I've tried in other Indian restaurants however overall it's a great meal and well priced for the amount you receive.

This review is for Caldermeade Farm Cafe, Caldermeade VIC

verified email - 01 Feb 2013

As we drove on the way to Phillip Island I was delighted to see all the signs advertising Caldermeade including references to milkshakes (I was thirsty) and the animal farm (what fun I imagined!). Arriving there it looked interesting and a great set up as in the rain we approached the animal farm. I'm still not sure if we were meant to ask the staff about this first or head out there on our own, either way nobody was there to greet us and we didn't feel comfortable going in with the animals on our own. I would have asked but inside it was very busy, a lot more so than I would have expected.

Fun range of local and other foods and gifts which I had an enjoyable few minutes of looking through then it was time to order something for lunch. I tried an omelette which was massive and had very little taste. Something about 1/3rd of the size and tastier would have been so much better and my milkshake wasn't that good either as far as milkshakes go. Still the idea is good and it was fun to try

Lovely place to visit and a rare gem as far as toy shops these days at least in my experience. I like to look through this shop whenever I'm near the Royal Arcade whether I'm buying things or not on that day. I do find it's fun making purchases for adults there which means the shop appeals to all ages; especially for those adults who retain their sense of fun and adventure. It is cluttered there but that's because of their large range of items in a small shop

This review is for Babushkas Melbourne, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 01 Feb 2013

Babushkas has been around for a long time and I always like walking by (and in the shop) and seeing the bright display of Russian dolls and other products on display. On the downside the shop is very cluttered and the staff were also unfriendly on the day I made my most recent purchases of some easter egg decorations.

This review is for Highton Valley Pizza & Pasta, Highton VIC

verified email - 01 Feb 2013

I was excited to finally try Highton Valley Pizza and Pasta a few months ago after having it recommended to me by several people. I wish that I could say my experience was as good as those I'd heard about. Sadly it wasn't. The pizza we tried was burnt and lacked flavour and the pasta (chicken and avocado) was delicious but drowning in oil. Not the friendliest of staff either although it was very busy when we arrived

This review is for Mind Games, Waurn Ponds VIC

Very nice shop and always fun to explore with lots of variety in items stocked. I especially like their range of Schleich animals and have purchased several. Friendly staff who take time to chat when the shop isn't too busy. Good place to also find unusual gifts for those people who are hard to find things for
