I would not recommend using Lazaway based my personal experience. It all went downhill the day I agreed to sign a SPASA contract with Lazaway pools. I was expecting to have a experience the same as the many letters shown by our salesman. He promised it would be complete by September - he said we would have no issues with our fencing, no issues with access, no issues with building. We were looking forward to swimming in our show special!!
Wrong.
This pool project was small in comparison the total work performed on our property - yet it was the most stressfull and painful experience to date.
Reason.
The wrong expectation was set by their sales team. Timeframes blew out by months, variations were expensive. Head office refused to answer my calls - my emails - my SMS's. Every stage of work was rescheduled time and time again, all with no explanation. This caused huge delays to my other contractors. Rubbish and damage to our property was ignored - half a ton of rebar was left on our nature strip for 5 months, 4 trailor loads of rubbish had to be removed by us - be aware the cleanup doesn't occur till the project is complete, till then it's a construction site. Concrete was poured all through my garden and lawn. Take away containers were left attracting vermin. I did find it hard to live with. (dig to completion that is)
Why
No one was accountable. No one took ownership of problems should they occur. The fact is I would have been happy to have my pool completed in January, I've never had a pool for 30 years so a couple of months is no big deal. But the only call I recieved was from accounts payable requesting money. This was the only form of comunication I had Lazaway. I was fed up by the bullying for money and the threat of not having my pool complete by Christmas. When I called head office they didn't care. When I emailed management - they didn't care. A 27 page complaint to SPASA and all I got was a phone-call and no apology from anyone.
Anyhow..
My advice - use a company that will have 1 person accountable from Sale - Completion. A budget price doesn't mean you save money. Beware of the hidden costs - the stress incurred is not worth the money saved.
I'm just stating my experience. I must also mention my complaint did cause a delay. From the time it was lodged till the time they called was 7 weeks. I did try to mediate numerous times but Lazaway ignored me leaving no option. But regardless of the complaint my choice for frameless fencing and Lazaway's policy on "no temporary fencing even if AS1926.1 compliant" would never have allowed me to finish the project any earlier.

Extension to house - En suite. I engaged Mr Verandah to quote a extension to our property. He worked well all the way through a ever changing schedule of work. He always returned phone calls, always offered advice and assisted with ensuring the job was complete and to quote. The work was carried on a 1930's Californian bungalow and the extension looks like it was always there.

Approximate cost: $17K
