Wow... there were 45 of us, majority kids and we called just a few days before asking if we could have dinner there. They were so friendly and went out of their way to help us at the busiest time in the Blue Mountains. Because we had so many kids, they sent us menu's, and we ordered the morning before dinner. This was mainly because we wanted kids fed quickly. They gave us our own room, which was wonderful because then we didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone, the kids even gave us a talent show after dinner. When they took our order, we gave them the list with names against them so when they came out with the food they gave it to the correct person.. if that isn't enough.. when the bill came, they had it sorted by family groups!!!!! Wow, the service was impeccable, great place to bring a large group especially with a lot of kids. The food was also very good, what you would expect from a Golf/RSL/Bowling Club, that is, plenty for your money. We had a $27 menu for adults and $10 for kids with a great choice. We had some 12-15 year old's that were not really happy with the adult menu so they allowed us to order an adult size of the chicken schnitzel for them. They did what ever they could to make us all happy. The desert was very nice with great choice of Sticky Date pudding (yummo - I had this one), a lemon tart of a struddle (I think it was berry). Anyway, we go as a large group to Blackheath every year, and I can tell you, after about 12 years of cooking in our cabins and cleaning up or standing around a freezing BBQ.. we have a new venue for dinner at the mountains. :-)

We have been using Warwick, and now Sean for so long I can;t remember when we started. My poor daughter has suffered 2 knee injuries, a hip injury and an Achilles injury, my husband pinched nerve and shoulder problems, and my other daughter foot issues. This team is friendly and very, very good at their job. The doctor sent my daughter there thinking she had just hurt her knee and Warwick diagnosed a torn ACL and used his contacts to get her into the best knee surgeon/specialist in the region, particularly for kids. I know others that have been turned away from the same surgeon or wait up to 8 months for an appointment. We got straight in. They both have their strengths, and just quietly, all the young girls just LOVE Sean. I wouldn't go anywhere else, even if I am the only one in my family that had not yet had any need for their services :-) With the medical insurance rebate, if I ever get a stiff neck or back again, I won't think twice about going here instead of a massage therapist. I guess the best part is that they actually give my daughter an exercise plan to strengthen her body to cope with her injuries. They don't keep you coming back just for the sake of it.

I have been bringing pets to the Northern Beaches Animal hospital for about 16 years. They treat and welcome each pet as if they are part of the family and always give great advice. There have been times in the past when I have been unable to extract a tick from a difficult part of my dog and I have been able to bring my dog up there and the vet nurse extracts it for me without charge. My dog gets so excited each time we go there, which is strange as what dog wants to go to the vet? I recently had to bring my chicken up there as she was very ill. She had to be put down which was sad for me and they were so kind. They even sent me a condolence card. If any of my pets go there for an illness, they always call a couple of days later to follow up. They do seam expensive but I have nothing to compare them to as they are the only vet I have ever taken my pets to after having a bad experience at the vet that is walking distance from my house. I have brought them guinea pigs, budgies, chickens, and dogs and they have been great with all of them.

I can't believe this restaurant hasn't already been reviewed. YOU MUST BOOK. This place gets packed every time I have been, but they are so lovely they will try and fit you in. The food is honest Asean Food. I only Picked Indonesian because I couldn't find Thai? The food is fresh and well priced and it's a no fuss BYO anything restaurant with excellent service and very fresh and tasty food. Too many items to choose from on the menu which is a hard because you absolutely salivate reading the menu and seeing what is being delivered to other tables. The servings are also big, and delicious. Nice setting, part outdoors but protected.

Luckily we booked dinner for 12 when we went to Sydney for Vivid because the entire Darling Harbour and Circular Quay area was absolutly packed. What I like most about this place is the variety of food types. They have something for everyone. From up market food to kids meals and dips and snacks. The prices are really very reasonable, especially for where it is. A bonus was that just after eating Darling Harbour put on a fireworks show. Considering it was horrendously busy the night we went, the service was great. Because we had booked, we were seated quickly, menu given, specials explained and table set, water provided, straight away. As soon as I asked the waiter to take our order he did. Asked i we wanted kids meals brought out with adult entre's, just really good service for such a busy night. The kids were complaining that the music was too loud, which it was, but I guess that is part of the experience in this place. Although as I do think it caters well for families, perhaps they could turn it down a bit. They also had a random man walking around spitting fire out of his mouth! This restaurant helped to make it a great night for our 3 families. The food was really good - very big portions so you probably don't need entre. Highly recommended. Would go again but next time ask not to be near the speakers perhaps :-)

I had a few quotes for guttering but these guys were cheaper, in one case half price. A very professional man came to quote me, and give me a great brochure to pick colours and understand the warranties and products used. A truck turned up to roll out the guttering and the installer arranged a convenient time to install. The installer was very friendly and worked hard to get all guttering completed. I did have a few issues with the installer leaving old screws and bits of cuttoff gutter (very sharp) everywhere and generally leaving a mess behind. There was also a leak in one part of the guttering that was separated from the rest of the house (over the front verandah). When I contacted ABC guttering head office with my issues they arranged for a service man to come out and resolve the issues and check the rest of the install. The only real problem I had was that there was one man doing all the guttering by himself. I was concerned about safety and how long it took on a very hot day. The mess was also annoying, especially considering lots of old screws were left everywhere, which could have hurt someone, or punctured a car tyre. Not sure on their policy of cleaning up after themselves. I cleaned it all up but perhaps if I had called the company straight away they may have made the installer come back and clean up his mess.

I called several electricians, some only wanted to give me a quote over the phone, one didn't even turn up or call, but when I called Rojec they turned up exactly when they said they would, gave me a quote and suggested ways to make the cost lower. Also checked to see what issues I may have and advised me of that without giving me any feelings that I had to take on extra work. When they arrived I had a few more things for them to do, no issues. Very friendly, tidy, and considerate with all the work they carried out, only turning electricity or lights off when they had to. They cleaned up after themselves, made good suggestions and fixed problems as they came across them. I will never even bother to call anyone else. These guys are professional, well priced and very good at what they do.

I took my girls here for late lunch and we just loved the place. Retro decor and while you are waiting for your food you can go upstairs and look at the great memorabillia they have on show and for sale. A lot of the cafe decor is based on music like the Beattles, retro phone etc. The menu is really very good, something for everyone and different sizes, and my girls thought the milkshakes were fantastic, and they are experts. I had a pizzet and it was delicious, hit the spot perfectly.

We have been staying at Federation gardens for over 9 years with a large group of friends with kids of all ages. The great thing about the place is it's location and the fact that everything is clean and works as expected. Over the 9 years we have experienced many different owners, but they have always been wonderful and helpful and very nice. We started coming here because the price was so good, but I have to say it is no longer a cheap family holiday, but then again, you do get a wonderful 2 bedroom cottage that is very clean and very convenient. I do wish they would have ovens in the rooms, but now they actually have one in the BBQ area, although, it really doesnt work very well. The grounds and cottages are well maintained and it is a safe place to have kids run around the vast grassed area or run around the tennis courts and games rooms. The heating is good. Some rooms still have woodfires, othrs have gas fires that look like wood fires, but all rooms have airconditioing so there is no excuse to feel cold or hot. It does annoy me that the plates, cuttlery etc is exactly for the number of people staying in the cottage, so if you have a cottage for 6 there is 6 of everything, but that is more and more common now. Really I have no complaints about this place, love it and will keep coming back, but hate to see the prices rise too much more without getting more in return, like ovens :-)

This is a quaint little bakery that sells old fashioned cakes and yummy pies and bread. I had the best Thai Chiken curry pie I have ever had. But beware the coffee was just terrible... anyway the food was delicious. I also bought a vanilla slice and an almond brownie for $3 a slice and they were soo fresh and yummy. I think I'll go back and buy some bread because they looked great and I would love to try some.

Approximate cost: $3 slice
