My daughter and I used a mothers day voucher and had a 1.5 hour massage yesterday. It was fantastic. This place does seam expensive but the quality of the service and the rooms in which you have the treatments are beautiful. I had a wonderful girl called Lucy and she applied exactly the right pressure for a relaxing, truely all over body treatment. I actually went here with my daughter last year or perhaps early this year for a mud wrap... now that was an out of this world experience. Couldnt recommend it more. Definately save up and have more mother daughter treatments here.

Approximate cost: $160 for 1.5 hour massage

A group of 5 friends went here last night and sat outside and had a fantastic time. We had plenty of room, the food was devine and it was BYO. The service was excellent. We shared lots of entre's and every single one of them were tasty and delicious. We even ordered more when we were finished. I still think we had chossen enough food to start with but everything was soo tasty. Probably my favourite dish was the BBQ Octopus. Everything has such delious sauces to accompany them, and they were pretty quick at bringing out the food. I love it when we get a new restaurant in Avalon, and this one really meets the mark. We ate and talked and drank for over 3 hours and it cost us less than $35 each. Will definiatly come here again.

When we went for a family holiday to Canberra, we went to the Old Bus Depot Markets and tasted some of this delicious muesli - it's called Rad Muesli. Well, it is choc a block full of nuts and fruit and sooo delicious and crunchy. The entire family eats it with yogurt or milk in the morning and the kids have even started having it for afternoon tea and desert. Well we used up the 500grams I bought at the markets in a couple of days, and looking around at our local health food shops we have not been able to find anything remotely as good as this. So I went to their website and bought it on line. It arrived exactly when they said it would. Once I put my order in I was sent an email and I communicated with them via email. They gave me options of when was the best time to send it and what arrangements I wished to make. So now we have 5kg of the stuff, all individually packaged in 1kg vaccuum sealed bags so it won't go stale. So one day in and we are well on our way to finishing 1 kg of the stuff. Not sure how healthy it is when you eat it in the volums we are eating it in... but then again.. it's a lot better than the kids munching on rubbish. It doesn't taste like it's good for you.. I guess that's the secret. No added sugar, and the website will tell you everything that goes into it so no surprises, and I can tell you, they are not stingy with the good nuts such as Macadamias, pistachios and almonds. Yum

Approximate cost: $70 for 5kg

I used these guys almost by accident as they are right next to my mechanic. I needed new tyres and the mechanic suggested I talk to them. I have had issues with Jax around the corner trying to sell me a brand I didn't want and also treat me like an idiot for saying I preferred a particular brand of tyre. Jax also took a lot longer than they said with no apologies, even if I was booked in. Avalon Tyres did not do that, and they gave me what I wanted at a lower price than Jax. The service is friendly and convenient. If they say it will take 20 minutes... it takes 20 minutes.

I have been using these guys to service my Saab for over 7 years. Their prices are very good, they were much cheaper than going back to the place I bought the car. They also provide a loan car free of charge. They always call you if any major work needs doing and give you options on what brands you would like to use. Every time I have a light failure, I just pop in, they fix it and add to my next bill. I am so impressed with their service I also take my husbands Subaru to them and have done since it was new. I am not sure if they normally do other makes of cars but they are happy to do my husbands car as well. The guys are friendly and down to earth and it's very handy to Mona Vale shops if they are doing a quick rego check or something you have to wait for. They are also next to Avalon Tyres so it's a one stop shop if you need tyres as well.

I got this contact by using a facility offerred through WOMO called Get Quotes", basically when I searched for Pest Control in my area through WOMO, an option came up to get 3 quotes. You can see my review on that seperately. Anyway, Craig called me first thing this morning, arranged a time and was here exactly when he said he would be. He offerred me plenty of advice, I have a rat problem due to chickens, birds and guinea pigs. He also gave me several options. He came across as extremly honest. Didn't try and sell me things I didn't need. When I said I had no rats inside the house he checked anyway and agreed with me. We went throgh the plans of action and came up with a low cost plan to start with. I can call him anytime, the fact that he lives locally makes a big difference as he can pop in any time to help further. So, I must admit I didn't get any other quotes, but started our action plan straight away.

We had take away from this restuarant as it was so packed and we had a large group of people so we took the take away back to our holliday apartment. The food was absolutly delicious but the servings very small for the price. For example, one of our meals was the Crispy duck with Thai Dipping Sauce, and it is $22.00 and we got such a small amount it was dissappointing. And the dipping sauce was simply a sweat chilli sauce... I expecedted something more exotic than what tasted like bottled sweat chilli sauce. The BBQ pork was a decent sized serving but no sauce of any form? and the side salads that came with them had a really yummy salad dressing, buy again was a tiny portion. The Chicken Fried rice was a great portion size and really delicious, the spring rolls were ok, and the Salt & Pepper squid was a bit too salty for my likling but was a good serving size. This is not a cheap restaurant but the quality is good.

We had lunch here and found the food very good. They also have kids menu which is great. My daughter had a kids chicken burger, and really it was enough for an adult and she said it was even better than the chicken burgers at school, which says a lot. She is a fussy eater and really enjoyed it. They had a great selection of meals of different sizes, I had a light meal, bruchetta with Camberbert and it was just lovely with a genorous topping. My husband and daughter had wraps and they were very large. They give free water which is a bonus and also have freshly squeezed juices and all the milkshakes and drinks you could ask for. The place also has some intresting tea cups and tea pots and books to look at (and are for sale) while you wait for your food. The only downside would be that all our meals came out at different times and by the time I got mine everyone else was just about fnished. We had take away coffee and that was also good. Our friends had brunch there and they said it was the best breakfast they ever had!

The place was a fantastic find. We stayed in a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony that had amazing views over the ocean at Coffs Harbour. We watched whales frolicing from our balcony. The place was more than comfortable with nice big lounges so all of us could sit comfortably together, a good sized dinning table, good sized bathroom (no bath but we are ok with that). It is the best location because it is tucked around the corner from the main strip so it is quiet, but less than 2 minute walk from the cafe and restaurant strip. All the convient stores as well. Very short walk to the Jetty. The price for what we got was fabulous at $200 per night. Our friends had the 3 bedroom townhouse, and it is huge, with it's own double lockup garage convient to take everything in and out of the car, spread over 3 levels (Including teh garage) so peace and quiet for those wanting to sleep while others are in the kitchen and lounge room. The town house does not have views of the ocean. The two apartments had full kitchens, and a starter supply of milk coffee, tea and even some bickies. Also all you would expect such as towels soap etc. Also the reception sold extras at a very reasonable price, for example a can of softdrink was $2.

Approximate cost: $200/night 2 bed apartment with ocean views

We had lunch here one day. From the outside it is a pretty ugly pub, and it is hard to work out how to get in. But, we sat on the verandah and had lunch and the food was great and service fantastic. Huge variety of meals as well. You have plenty of seating options and they have a kids menu.
