Six of us went here for lunch yesterday, it's a cafe in a nursery. The place was very, very crowded, lot's and lot's of people but probably because the menu is very diverse and all six of us enjoyed our meals greatly. We had booked a table out on the verandah and everyone was on time, but for some reason they moved us to a table right near the front door, which was not a great table to have. The place was very noisy and very crowded but the food was great for what it was. Very professional presentation and the nursery was an added bonus to look at all the lovely colourful pots they had around the place. The service was very slow and you had to catch the waitstaff attention to get served, but, like I said, it was very busy. I guess the only real critisism I would have would be to have more waitstaff if it is going to be this busy. Also perhaps if someone has an expectation to sit at a certain table, make sure you give it to them or call them if a mistake has been made. The downside is the corkage charge of $3.50 per person. We had one bottle to share and the corkage would have been $21, so we just drank water. Also the table water was warm and not filtered so a very harsh taste. Perhaps I am just spoilt being use to having filtered water in my home, like most people I know. The deserts looked delicious however the lunch servings are really very big (which is great) so no one had room for desert. The lunch cost us $31 a head, which was ok consdiering how large the main meals were. I probably wouldnt recommend you come here when it was as busy as it was yesterday, but certainly if you can find a time when it is a little quieter and if you can get a table out on the verandah, it would be a nice spot for lunch or breaky.

Approximate cost: $30 a head for lunch

I started with Womo when a business I used asked me to review them, and I actually really enjoy reviewing business's I visit. I think this is a great website and I really do think I would keep using it and adding my reviews even if I didn't get rewards. I have only had one case I found rather perplexing, when I wrote a review about a 2 hatted restaurant, where I wrote an honest review, and do not feel I was offensive or nasty in anyway, yet WOMO originally refused to publish it. I have checked again (quite some time later) and it is now published. I must say I was annoyed for a time, couldn't understand why they held it back. I am not in an opposing business or anything. But now that they have published it I can see they do take care to ensure that reviews are "honest". So.. back in my good books WOMO :-)

Well the best thing about the place is it's location, stunning. The food is Italian, but not your everyday Italian and it appears that they change the menu regularly, which is a good thing. I went with friends on Thursday for degustation lunch - 7 courses, which were not spectaluar. The first course by far the best but the flavours are really quite bland. Even the horse raddish cream dots on the plate had no bite whatsoever. The only course that wasnt bland was the second last course where the lemon cello ice was sooooo strong it overpowered everything else and was really quite awful. Mix it with the Olive oil sorbet and that didn't improve matters, just left an oily yukky taste in your mouth. I am a desert person and the desert was dissapointing. It was a deep fried thing with again - not much flavour. All the food was "nice", but not something you would remember particularly. The wine is all Italian, which I guess is ok as it is an Italian restuarant.. but nothing to write home about. It's suppose to be a 2 hat restaurant??? Well, I thought that meant things like all the portions would look exactly the same - well they don't.. and just those extra attention to detail.. like I think we had the best seat in the house with a big window overlooking the stunning beach - and guess what - there was a big bird poo right in the middle of the window.. I felt like reaching out and cleaning it - that is somethin that really should have been cleaned up - it would have been easy to do. Shame as this use to be a fantastic seafood restaurant - well, perhaps that was 15 years ago.

We went to the Fathers Day Buffet breakfast at Newport arms this year. We always go out for breakfast for fathers day and mothers day but usually to a cafe. The great thing about the buffet was the variety and the fact that they made sure they kept topping up the buffet with fresh food. The only complaint I would have was the coffee which was very ordinary, also the tea was very weak, but the selection of pastries, different type of eggs and hot food was good. A little on the expensive side for what you got at $27 for adults. They class an adult as everyone ovre 12, so I had to pay adult prices for my kids. I don;t think I'll come again as it is cheaper and better (especially the coffee) at a cafe, but it was a good experience

Approximate cost: $27

This is a beautiful old renovated home that is perfect for large groups of up to 20 people, huge well appointed kitchen, great conservatory, wonderful heated pool and spa, tennis court and plenty of bedrooms and plenty of privacy. From the website you would be forgiven for thinking this is out in the country somewhere, but in fact it is walking distance from Nowra and right next to the Highway.. BUT.. when your in the house and grounds you would never know because it is well protected by beautiful mature tree's. A wonderful place for a family reunion. When you get the list of rules, you can be forgiven for a huge intake of breath, but in reality there are no rules that are not just a matter of respect. I highly recommend this place for a holiday, bring your bikes and take advantage of the many bike trails very close to the house that take you across the river. Nowra hasn't got much in the way of interesting shops, but it is a short drive to the beautiful (but overpriced) Berry if you want to indulge in wonderful shops and cafe's. Also not far from the Arthur Boyde property where you can take a tour around the grounds and see the wonderful art works from the Boyde family. You can give the Nowra markets at the race track a miss, unless you want plants. Great selection of plants at good prices, but not much else of any quality, and prices not great considering what they have on offer, which isn't much. Perhaps it will be better in summer? or Spring when tourisim is probably better.

It is my sisters birthday and she lives in Victoria, and I wanted to send her a surprise gift to make her day at work. So I ordered 2 dozen strawberries dipped in chocolate, presented in a lovely plastic box like a box of chocolates. It really made her day. Her words were "I Love it. What a wonderful gift" and she promptly sent me a photo. It is so nice to send someone a gift like this out of the blue.. ok, it was her birthday, but still a surprise for her. When I called late yesterday to book the order, the lady on the phone was very helpful and when I explained it was to a school she ensured it would be delivered during the school day (as opposed to office hours). And the price was great as well. I sent 2 dozen choc dipped strawberries for $50 plus $10 delivery. I have used these fresh fruit deliveries before and never has the price been so reasonable. Next time you have someone that needs cheering up, or you want to surprise them, I suggest you check out the range at Fresh and Fruity.

Approximate cost: $50 + $10 delivery

Over the past 15 years we have had many, many tree's removed from our overgrown garden, mostly Palms that must have been in fashion 40 years ago and now just a messy pain. For the past 15 years I have used the same company for this service, but recently found them very expensive. So, I decided to check WOMO to see what other people had recommended. At the time only one was recommended, but I couldnt actually call those people, because all you got was a lengthy voice mail giving you a hundred other numbers to call. So I decided to give Banksia Arborcare a try. They were listed in WOMO but hadn't had any reviews. Well, am I glad I did. Their price was half that of the competitor, and their work just as good. Extremely polite, on time and willing to do on the spot changes (yes I found another tree hidden amoungst the plams). I also asked the owner Chris for advice about other tree's to be pruned. He was honest in letting me know the impact that it would cause to the health of the tree, rather than just do it and get more money. Anyway, one of the real attractions is the fact that they are so professional. You get a quote via email, including all the government taxes, so you know these guy's arn't another mob that don't pay taxes and ask for everything in cash. I will definately get them back to remove all the palms from the backyard in a couple of months. Thanks guys

I walked into the Flight Center in Avalon yesterday morning, knowing I wanted a fantastic family holiday to Thailand in January, with activities and trecking and 3 different areas, didn't want particular airlines and didn't want to have to stop in Bangkok, and two hours later the lovely Kiersten planned a spectacular family holiday within budget. She took into account that we needed some luxury time as well as some adventure time, and carefully explained each compromise to get a fantastic trip all organised and booked within 2 hours. Her knowledge of the areas we were interested in, her excitement in putting everything together, and her follow up has been tremendous. Many of my friends book all their own holidays on-line, but you can't beat the professional service I received from Kiersten, plus.. no hassle, and I know having a big name behind our booking will make a difference with any issues while we are away. My thoughts are that we are spending a lot of money, no matter which way we book it, so why not make sure you have a wonderful holiday with as little hassle as possible.

WOW, $55 for a 3 course alacarte meal for lunch plus a glass of bubbly, heaps of parking, sun trapped beautiful restaurant where you would feel comfortable if you dressed to the nine's or arrived in casual attire. The food was exquisit, the service fantastic and the ambience perfect for a sophisticated lunch on the beach. The menu is extensive and caters for all tastes. Wow presentation, especially for the deserts. You feel like you have your own personaly waiters/resses, yet the resturant was full. The tables are not crowded together. You're indoors yet you feel like you are outdoors. Amazing value with the $55 dollar deal. Will definately come here again and bring my friends.

Went here for lunch today with some girls. It was a beautiful little place, with a nice atmosphere. The food is quite varied and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We also had a glass of wine each which was reasonably priced and lovely. This isn't really a cafe, I would call it more of a restaurant, with a great breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and dessert menu. The staff were lovely but the service was very slow. It took a very long time to get served, but then the time for the food to arrive was very reasonable. It was a bit chilli today and the outside heater kept shutting off, but I would really like to come here for dinner in the warmer months. I am also thinking this will be where our fathers day breaky will be this year as there is a realy good choice of standard breakfasts and also some quite different one's which I know my partner would love, but the kids will be happy with standard bacon and eggs type selections, or pancakes. The coffee was also yummy which is always a plus, and it came with a yummy little bit of waffer biscuit. So, I would definately recommend this place. The prices are a bit steep I think, for what it is, but... the food was very good and quite original.

Approximate cost: $20-30
