This is the BEST small Japanese cafe we've been to. Fabulous food and really cheap. The fish is always fresh, the agedashi is to die for and the soft shell crab is a must. The staff are very friendly too.

A massive bonus for us is that they're also very kid/baby-friendly. They have heaps of high-chairs, colouring books and textas, kids cutlery and plates/bowls. They're willing and happy to make up meals for our baby and toddler that aren't on the menu.

This deli is fantastic! They've just opened up a cafe next door and their food is FANTASTIC! They have the best range of deli items... when we're desperate for an obscure item for a recipe then chances are Monaco's have it.

This shop is fantastic for all types of fabric, but particularly quilting fabrics and "dance/party" fabrics. There is three levels - the bottom level being the "dance/party" fabrics, the middle level being all remnants and seriously cheap fabrics (all sorts here from woolen suiting fabric to lycra and leather!), then the top floor is all quilting fabrics. They have some very cheap quilting fabrics, but they're all great quality.

This is the store for the Australian Breastfeeding Association. Its the best one-stop-shop for all of your breastfeeding needs - clothes, bras, aids, pumps, weaning tools etc.

Their prices are about the same as you'll find anywhere, but its nice to find everything in the one place. You can also shop online.

James Thomas recently installed an external powerpoint for us for our new hot water system. He was very prompt, and did a great job for a great price.

If you're into breadmaking or baking this is your DREAM shop. They have everything you could want - flours (including speciality flours like Spelt), sauces, spices, seeds, dried fruit, tins, miscellaneous items.

I buy bi-carb soda here in bulk cheaply to use in cleaning (laundry and general household), but also love to go there for general baking needs.

This deli is fantastic. They sell great coffee and grind it up for you. They also make great coffee to have there, and serve delicious slices! The other deli items are delicious, and the spicy Italian sausages definitely worth a try (we love them!). The breads are also great.

I was overdue with my pregnancy and did not want to end up being induced, so decided to try out acupuncture. I had two sessions (one at 5 days overdue and one at 6 days), and I went into labour on the evening of the second session! Whether I would have gone into labour anyway, who knows...

They have experience in pregnancy-related treatment, and report success in natural induction of labour.

This small company provided us with the best price for installing new blinds in our entire home (cedar blinds X 7 and PVC blinds X 5). Unfortunately, we ordered the blinds in July asking that they be ready to install mid-September. We called them in late-September asking what was going on and they reported that they thought we had wanted them installed in November. They had difficulty getting the light coloured cedar timber in, and the blinds did not end up getting installed until mid-November (and we lived for more than a month with no window-furnishings!).

They were very apologetic, and provided us with a small amount of fabric to pin up in the windows, but it didn't quite make up for the service and products that we were hoping for.

The finished product does look great now, so we're happy in the end.

David provides great service - very competitive price, and good quality work. We needed to get our oven re-connected (after getting the floors polished) as well as a new instantaneous hot water system installed and he did the job for a great price (up to $400 cheaper than prior quotes for JUST the installation of the hot water!)
