Superb service! From friendly and professional in all interactions to skilled expertise and care in moving a washing machine from one side of town to another, I was impressed with this business.

We were worried about the steep driveway and narrow, broken pathways so tried to warn them but they clearly had it under control. They paused to assess the best entry, checked alternatives, made a decision, and then just did it effortlessly and with perfect care of my machine.

I've had tradesmen carry on about the steep driveway, yet these men were utterly professional and clearly expert at their jobs, with a "can do" approach. I'll definitely use them in future, as well as recommend them to family and friends.

They also didn't try to charge for their return trip like other companies, and they took the old machine away. They were also very competitively priced and allowed my daughter-in-law to pay by bank transfer after the job was completed.

Exceptional customer service! Debbie's assistance with my concerns were genuine and responsive.

I don't need everything to be always perfect, but I do need issues to be addressed when they go awry; this company did exactly this and more. They weren't defensive, took my concerns seriously, sought to address the issue and did.

Their investment has earned a loyal customer.

New vacuum cleaner from here in 2016; superb price and performance, excellent service, still running strong.

New hose after over-enthusiastically trying to unblock it and damaging it (don't ask!); ordered over phone and arrived in two days, replaced easily and great price.

When I first purchased this vaccum cleaner, I'd researched numerous options and had an idea of what I wanted. I spoke with a major retailer and was put off by how little regard they had (they were focused on what they wanted to sell not what I wanted), so then checked reviews and found this place.

Felix listened to what I sought, clarifying a few points, and explaining the options. We eventually agreed on a cheaper model; I'd been concerned that it would mean poor performance but he let me try it first, and it had excellent suction and manoeuvrability, as he expected. Now having had the vacuum cleaner for two years, it's the perfect one for me.

I rang Felix Monday, hoping to order the hose over the phone, as it's a 45min drive to get there. He was, as previously, responsive, and sorted it for me quickly, and must have sent it the same day, as it arrived Wednesday!

What impresses me with Felix is trust. He offers good old fashioned customer service, and clearly works with integrity in his business. He doesn't try to upsell, but to match what you want with the right product. That's invaluable, and I'll never return to the larger franchises again.

I took my car in for repairs on 14 May 2018 at my insurer's behest, following a car accident on 10 May 2018. Whilst my initial impression was that Capital SMART was very clean, it also felt very slick—which generally means all show and no substance. In particular, panel beaters have a very poor reputation for care and quality, so I was very wary.

I’m happy to report that this wasn’t the case at all. From the first receptionist who was very helpful and provided valuable information to assist with a hire car, to Tim who facilitated a fast turnover of the repairs so I wasn’t left stranded in the Hills for four days (instead from only Monday afternoon to Wednesday morning!), to the friendly and accommodating taxi drivers, to the last trainee receptionist who was warm and friendly and chatted briefly with me while I waited, my experience was of a team focused on providing a smoother experience of inconvenient car repairs.

My car was repaired to mint condition, with no unsightly distinction between the repaired panel and the existing panels. I particularly liked the touch of returning to a freshly cleaned car!

I think the only improvement I could suggest would be to focus on authenticity, not a slick, glossy image.

I hope I don’t occasion the need for such repairs again, but if I do, I’ll not hesitate to use Capital SMART again, and will comfortably recommend them to others. Warm thanks to your team—please take good care of them so they can continue to take good care of customers.

(Please note, no cost advised as it was covered by the other party's insurer though I've no doubt they'd be expensive.)

The short version:
Relaxed, easygoing salon with professional hairdressers--I leave feeling better than when I walked in!

The long version:
This salon is relaxed, welcoming, and offers a much more pleasant vibe than the stereotypical trendy salon. Free from judgement (and trust me, if you're having a bad year and decide to hack your hair which looks fabulous initially--until you wash it and realise you've created some sort of horrific 80s mullet--then this is the salon for you!), this is definitely my new go-to hairdresser.

To put this into context, I've had my hair cut twice (well thrice, given this week's snip!) in 15 years. I don't cut my hair (clearly). (I usually don't cut it myself either, but hey... bad year!) I stopped going to hairdressers when I realised they simply made me feel worse. I'd rather pin up my hair, or blow dry it, or even straighten it myself than go through the horror of having my hair cut by those who have no understanding of my hair.

Nikki, on the other hand, listens carefully, and is flexible in her approach. (I, in turn, say what I want and don't want AND THEN leave it up to her professional expertise--we can't always have what we want, and it's folly to think we can just demand a certain style and then be disappointed at how it looks on us, given our individual hair type, face shape, personal style, and lifestyle.)

Although I don't go very often, I love that I can go and leave feeling better than when I walked in--who doesn't want that in a hairdresser?

Lastly, tis very reasonably priced. Also, avoid disappointment by booking two weeks' in advance!

I stopped by unexpectedly when, realising I was ravenous, thought I'd grab something healthy to munch before attending my appointment nearby.

While waiting for the homemade vegetable korma pie to heat, I chatted with the man behind the counter (who I now know is Mick!). He was lovely, caring, and authentic, and in a short time, established a clear sense of shared values. It made me want to come back just to chat! (Which I actually will *grins*)

The pie was insanely good! Even if I hadn't desired to return for the kinship, I certainly would for the pies! (And this is highly unusual for me, as I don't like pastry, so eating pies for me essentially consists of scooping out the insides! I know, weird right?)

I can't comment on the rest of the shop or its products, but on the authentic engagement and the quality pie, I will definitely be back.

I was searching for a replacement cane basket for my dearly beloved worn out old one, but hadn't found quite what I wanted for months. Being very selective, I was clear on the size, the quality, the shape, and the overall look I was seeking, and it wasn't easy to get.

I ended up choosing a basket from Cobra Cane that was virtually identical to my old one (which I'd purchased on a country trip years ago).

There was a hiccup with ordering it online, with some javascripts not working on Firefox even though I have the latest version, so I rang the company. A young woman answered, and was friendly, patient, and we organised it over the phone then and there.

Because I wanted to pay through PayPal, she emailed me an invoice the same day, which I paid ($48 plus $12 shipping), and my basket arrived within three days.

It was packaged protectively, delivered promptly, and is actually a better quality basket than my old one! So kudos to Cobra Cane for excellent quality baskets and superb customer service--I genuinely hope my review generates more business for you, as I want you around when I need a third basket in 6-7 years!

Genuinely impressed with the service, from my initial call to their 1800 number to the final transaction and order, the staff at Triumph were friendly, efficient, and just dealt with my request so easily! Who knew customer service could be friendly, efficient and just EASY?!!

I was seeking certain lingerie before an upcoming event in two weeks. It wasn't essential, but it would make me feel good in a not-so-good situation. It wasn't an easy request, as stocks were unavailable in my online searches and in their initial queries. But they pursued it, resolved it, and I received my items within several days.

I particularly want to thank Wendy, who went out of her way to organise it and was just lovely and friendly throughout, as though it was no bother.

So often, "service" seems to involve doing the bare minimum to 'get it off your desk', but gosh, tis delightful when people (AND more than one in the same organisation! *falls off chair*) go out of their way to attend to your request. Warm thanks and appreciation, truly.

UPDATE 21 June 2017:
Again ordered lingerie from Triumph; again received exceptional and prompt service. Can't believe the ease of transactions. Kudos, and warm thanks this time to Debbie.

I've ordered a number of products from New Directions over the past few years and have found the products to be good quality, the range superb, and the deliveries reliable and well packaged.

I've also found they've cleared up any concerns quickly and efficiently, which has definitely increased my trust in this company. Definitely recommend them for products relating to skin care, hair care, essential oils, and materials and packaging for making products at home. They seem like they'd be a good source of supplies for cottage industries too, but that's not my area of expertise!

This review is for J@N NAILS SALON, Belgrave VIC

I was compelled write a review for this salon, as I’ve finally found somewhere I want to go long term! The service is friendly and of high quality, as well as extremely competitive in price.

I’ve been going to J&N’s Nail Salon in Belgrave Arcade for three months now. It is run by the very friendly Tam, and I feel very comfortable with her and her staff. They are accommodating, do a thorough job, and are cheaper than anywhere else I’ve been. It’s unusual to get a quality pedicure with choice of Opi polishes for $30! Even in such a short amount of time, Tam always remembers my name and my preferences, and I’ve grown fond of her and Thanh.

The other stand out feature of this salon is the lack of chemical fumes. I have been to numerous nail salons over the past ten years, and one thing they have in common is a decidedly strong chemical scent. I don’t know how the staff work in those environments when I feel poisoned just going there for an hour!

Because J&N’s is in the Arcade, there’s not a lot of through traffic—which is a shame, as I think her business deserves support—but it also means it’s peaceful.

I love that I don’t have to tolerate unpleasant odours, and can request that the television be turned off (if no one else is in the salon) and just close my eyes and relax and listen to the sound off the bubbling water while they pretty my feet! Warmest thanks to you, Tam, and I hope you stay in Belgrave for many years to come.
