Cheap, Cheap, Cheap!
Their dumplings as good as their service is bad.
English is definitely not their forte, but they more than compensate for this with their price. The food isn't too bat either.
Approximate cost: $8
Know what you want. Don't ask for advice. Pay the cheapest prices around.
If you don't know before you go in, google it. Find out first and don't look to the staff there to suggest anything.
I go there for all my computing needs.
What, it's run by a council? Well that was my first thought. Fantastic centre with everything - 2 pools, a gym and even a wave pool!
The staff are friendly and they offer all the "extra's" like personal trainers, etc!
Approximate cost: $5
Nice place with an extensive selection of Tequila's. Great place to catchup for after work drinks as it's not too loud or drowned out by music.
A food menu (even light snacks) would almost make it perfect for such events.
A real family restaurant. Large services and reasonable prices. The food is quite good as well.
The service leaves a little to be desired, but that is to be expected for such a large and busy restaurant.
You get what you pay for. It's not cheap and nasty, it's just appears that way.
The restaurant is plain, but the food fresh and tasty, oh, and did I mention cheap!
2 mains and 2 drinks for under $20!
Approximate cost: $8
AAA+++
The best Pizza. Nothing fancy, not "wood fired" or "organic" or with strange ingredients. Just traditional pizza's made to the best they can be.
Service always comes with a smile and a chat that makes you feel welcome, but without overdoing it.
Not much of a "dine-in" sort of place, but if your a Blackburn or surrounding area local, THE BEST PIZZA's around!
Approximate cost: $15
Not sure if I'd say it's the best Indian ever, but definitely best in Melbourne!
It is great value for money and the general ambiance is fantastic!
The front of house service is excellent, however to prepare the 10/10 food does take a long time!
Approximate cost: $25
I fact I discovered only a week ago (and I've been going to them for ages!) is that they are 100% vegetarian! That's right, their burgers, their "sausage rolls", their everything! No meat at LOTF!
Personally, I don't mind at all, but was impressed that their burgers are as good as they are without meat!
But, as posted on a number of other comments, their franchise - Fries - lets them down terribly.
Approximate cost: $8
How would I sum up my Alaysia experience in one succinct statement - Value for Money!
The food is good, and if you catch them on a good night, great, and to say the price is reasonable would be an understatement.
But they need to be to compensate for the service.
If you're with a couple of friends and are just out for a casual bite because you're hungry (not for an occasion), Alaysia fits the bill to a T.
Approximate cost: $10.00
