First started going when our 3 year old cat came down with Acute Renal Failure. From opening up at 10:30pm on the Friday night to calling us every day (including weekends) and letting us visit with our kitty every day the staff were friendly and did all they could. (cat on IV drip for a week, multiple blood tests, the nurses coaxing her to eat)

Range of vets from young to the older experienced gentleman, all supported us with our week long battle to save our cat even if it meant dealing with someone who was doing alot of research on the internet about the cat's problem and throwing a million questions at them (me :) )

Best vet in the area. Not cheap, but animal care rarely is. We still get a 10% discount on everything we buy and services.

Oh, and the cat survived!

This place has been open for approx 6 months. Excellent Charcoal Chicken, their chips are always crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Chips, Gravy and Cheese is a favorite with the kids.

Started offering Lamb Gyros recently and it's the best I have tasted in the area (and I'm a greek!)

Lots of Family Pack offers.

Approximate cost: $8.50 Gyros $6-$7 quarter chicken and chips

A decent Fish & Chip Shop. The Fish and Potato cakes are always good, as is the souvlaki. My one disappointment is the chips. I like my chips crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and this isn't what you get. Otherwise it's not bad. $35 for 3 flake, 6 potato cakes, 2 seafood sticks, 2 dim sims and min chips is a pretty fair deal imho

This review is for Emerald Village Bakery & Cafe, Emerald VIC

The Bakery has great food, always at a good standard but the prices are very expensive considering it's on the mountain and it's frequented regularly by the locals. Their coffee is great, their baked goods are always wonderful. The fresh rolls are a little misleading as 3/4 of the filling is actually exposed (although glad wrapped) so it looks like the roll is packed full but in reality it isn't.

The sausage rolls are to die for and the bee stings are always yummy.

I would recommend the place to people visiting and I do go regularly with the family but it's a big hit to the wallet with 4 people. Would be nice if they had a "locals" card where those who live in emerald received discounts.

As the only major supermarket in Emerald (for now) Ritchies has a monopoly on business. I have found that their prices are often more than going to Woolies and the produce isn't fresh at all. I have often bought mixed salad (the premixed loose stuff) only to find it is mushy and rotten the next day. Not really happy, looking forward to the new Supermarket.

Went there for the first time this evening with 5 family members. Tried a variety of dishes.

Entrees (Spring Rolls, Curry Puffs and ''Money Bags") were all good, the money bags in particular were beautifully fresh and you could taste the coriander.

Main Meals were also a hit with everyone present. The Chef's special of Lime Fish was amazing (fresh flavors of lemongrass, ginger), Pad Thai and the Chilli Calamari were also standouts.

My one complaint would be the serves are a little smallish, or maybe that was the teenage boys who were eating with us :)

Will definitely go back again.

Entrees, Mains + 4 desserts worked out to $212 for 6 people.

Approximate cost: $15-$20

Really good Indian at a reasonable price.
Have eaten in and also done take-away for many months. The food quality is always great (though I feel you get more food when you take-away, maybe its just the boxes look bigger than the bowls!).

The Dhal is awesome as is the tandoor chicken. Butter chicken is a favorite with kids as well as the orange rice with buts and fruits in it.

Have been seeing Laura for about 6 months now and could not be happier. Laura genuinely cares about her customers feeling good about their hair cut. She not only asks what you want, she also offers suggestions and when asked "I want something new, what do you suggest" she has actual ideas for new styles.

The cuts are great approx $75. Cut and foils is about $160, cut and toner refresher over foils about $112. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend Laura.

Tried the place out a few times. The flavor of the pizza is wonderful but without fail the next day I would suffer from the eating experience with a severe case of the runs.

It's a shame as the taste is lovely and the service is friendly.

used to be a weekly visitor at this place until the ownership changed hands. Quality fdropped, pizza base is too thick and tastes "uncooked" much of the time. Really not happy with the food so have stopped going.

Approximate cost: $10
