Located inside Hawkins Nursey and separately owned, I decided to pop in and take my parents for a cuppa and late lunch. A really big menu plus there is always a Specials Blackboard and ... they have the most beautiful selection of cakes and desserts I have ever seen, they aren't just a slab of cake or a plain biscuit, they are classy desserts finished very professionally with loads of trimmings. Omgosh was so hard to chose one over the other. Ordered fresh flathead with a beautiful salad (it actually had loads of tomato, cucumber, mushrooms , red onion etc, instead of just a bowl of lettuce and one piece of tomato). My mother is also highly allergic to certain foods and it was no problem for them to make sure her food was safe. The staff were walking around regularly cleaning up and happily chatting to others and the head lady was so delightful and very helpful. Its a real pleasure to have staff ask if you had a nice experience. A lovely location, ow and they even do High Teas .. Thanks

Used to regularly pop into this Cafe on the way home from picking up kids after work. Depends whose serving as to what quality of service you get ie mature or young staff. Our slices and food on the handful of occasions were standard "cafe" food, definitely not amazing or restaurant standard. Seems to be a main hangout for school students in the outside area so don't go anymore unfort :(

This would have to be the craziest most amazing coffee place ever. We celebrated Mother's Day on the weekend as mum will be heading overseas for a holiday and will miss Mothers Day hence the saturday breakfast. What amazed me was the Drive Thru, just what we all need on a busy morning and we don't want MacDonalds yuk !! Drive Thru has endless variety of coffees, teas, cold drinks, quiches, muffins, cookies, wraps, croissants and the best cookies. And on Saturdays, they have full breakfasts and the "Wicked Breaky" which the men loved. The best food, great quick service and the atmosphere was so family like, really cosy. Ow and I read in store that they even have an Internet store selling coffees online. A great morning had by all, thank you

This place caught our eye because of its looks. It's a beautiful looking massive cottage which has meals and accommodation. We popped in for lunch and the interior is amazing. We ordered the polish dumplings and the shanks and both meals were scrumptious and fresh. Just couldn't take my eyes off all the items on the walls and it was nice to see the girls in polish attire. Great service and happy people. And the view is absolutely amazing over the valley. And if you just want a coffee or cuppa, then there is a balcony at the back where you get visited by the birds, it's really nice. Lovely hassle free day, thank you ..

Went web hunting to find a place where my son could have a holiday away from the city with his friends after a year of operations, illness etc. I came across this place only because I liked the photos of their rooms lol. I explained we wanted a 3 bedroom apartment for the group and making them aware of his condition etc. they treated him like absolute gold. The room itself was beautiful, very clean, new appliances, new furniture, definitely worth the 4.5 star rating. Staff were mega friendly and would check on him twice a day which was so nice. We organised 3 tours and the reception always rang his mobile making sure he was aware of the times and buses. The location is absolutely beautiful, right on the esplanade with perfect views from the balcony. Such easy access down on the front road to eateries and their famous Cairns Night Markets and the grocery shops was just located on the next block. Underground parking was also available for their hire car. Can't thank these guys enough for not just great service but for making his break a very memorable one. Thank you ...

Have been going here for about 6 months to follow my doctor who had to relocate. Same doctor but totally different surgery to what I was used to. The ladies in my old surgery used to talk very loud, very negative and not a happy bunch in general. Wow so what a pleasure it was to go to a well organised, very clean surgery. Ladies all well presented in uniforms, all with name tags and job classifications. They refer to my first name as soon as I walk in. A surgery monthly newsletter is there for everyone to take, magnets, free pens and a lovely play area for the children and private toilet. And the biggest thing I've noticed is i have never ONCE waited anything over 10 mins from my appointment time. Definitely very happy with this business.

Wow wow and wow. I found Amber's business through the Internet trying to find a good quality makeup artist/hairdresser for one of my daughters Formals last year. I booked her twice prior to the Formal so my daughter was happy and so she could she her dress. This is purely a mobile service where she comes to your house/hotel etc to do Formals, weddings, photo sessions, pretty well anything you want. My daughter gave her ideas as to what she wanted and Amber did the rest. Couldn't praise this lady enough. She did full makeup, up style hair, beautiful false eyelashes that were the most natural looking I've seen, and organised to get her false hair pieces to give more body for her hair (and she even took them home and put streaks through them to make them look more like her own hair). The trial run was amazing and her Formal !! Well I can't thank her enough. Naturally she looked like a princess, not too over the top, nice natural makeup and her hair was just beautiful. Makeup lasted all night and hair didn't budge once. Really friendly and bubbly person, can't thank Amber enough for such a professional service. Thank you ..

Popped into here so my mother could stop and have her coffee fix today while spending the day in the city. Really busy little place with a lot of regular customers as the owner knew everyone by first name just about. As I'm a tea drinker, I'm going on mums Mocha. She said it was really thick and tasty, just how it should be. I had a tea and bought a pistachio coffee cake. The topping was SOOO tasty but unfort the cake was quite dry (no moistness to it). Mums mudcake was the same, very dry. But i notice some businesses advertise something as Mud Cake where in fact its just a plain chocolate cake. We also had a chicken mixed sandwich each and the bread was very dry on the outside as if it was either old or had been sitting in the open. Great location smack in the middle of the CBD.

Spent the morning in the city with my mother and her neighbour told us about this place since she knew I loved my cupcakes. Located in the valley, nice bright and clean shop, staff were really nice and friendly. Their cakes cost a little bit more at $4.20 ea, cake itself was nice and fluffy. The selection is a bit smaller than other similar places in the city, but they also sell fresh biscuits as well. The only thing that was disappointing was we wanted to make a large order for my uncles birthday next week but were told we had to pick up order by 2pm, and as I work in the city, this was impossible, hence someone else got our business .. pity.

Yum yum and yum is all I could say about this place. This was my secret little fix on the way home from the city, those glazed donuts !! But unfortunately this franchise doesn't exist anymore in the shopping complex .. Pity :( and yes staff were always wonderful and happy which was pleasant to see.
