We popped into this place only by chance as we had to wait half an hour for our floor tile order to be put together. I couldn't help but smell bacon lol as it was early in the morning so we went over for a hot drink and walked out with a belly full of food. Really nice people, having a laugh with them as soon as we walked in. Hubby had the biggest breaking I've ever seen, he was very pleased .. And it was fresh as. I had the smaller version and it was nice to have fresh food, sweet tomatoes, bacon that wasn't burnt etc. Hassle free experience, thank you

Have been going here on and off for about 4 years now. Have certainly noticed a management change since then. Staff has DEFINITELY changed from the past. We always get the booth tables up the top section, but there is a big area to sit outside. My husband always has the seafood selection and I always get their Lamb Shanks and mash and they are yum .. I know through word of mouth that Gillies gets taken over on the weekends by young adults as they have a DJ etc ..

Pop in here once a fortnight on the way home from work for our family takeaway session. Been coming here for years. Have never eaten in the restaurant, most of the locals use the takeaway side of the restaurant, very popular. Never once had an issue with the food being unedible etc. Only once a few years ago one of the dishes was incorrect but must admit, it was really scrumptious and I get that dish regularly now. Yes, they do take a while as they always have loads of takeaway orders so I always ring through and get there half an hour later. They give you little treats as well ie the more you spend, the more freebies you get, and staff have always been friendly. Big lovely menu to chose from . Thanks

This review is for Word Of Mouth, Melbourne VIC

03 May 2013

Ha reviewing the reviewer ... Only been on this site for about a month and have found some amazing places on here to use. I love the fact that they plug the "small business" more than the larger companies. Word of mouth is amazing especially if a business is dishing out poor service. The best reviewers are definitely the customers themselves, have really enjoyed sitting back and reading some fantastic service, and some shocking ones as well. The general public need to know if they are going to get ripped off, will receive terrible food or just rubbish service in general. An absolute bonus is the gift card incentives, a great idea. The only downside I have noticed is I've emailed WOMO twice now, over 2 weeks ago enquiring about missing points and after information and still no reply (being a small business owner myself, I find communication so very very important and find it a bit rude when it's not reciprocated). I've also noticed a few businesses and their families "reviewing" themselves on WOMO. It kind of detracts what WOMO are all about and I think we all hope they can find a way of stopping this, as this genuine customer word of mouth concept is the best I've seen ..

This review is for AA Mobile Phones, Underwood QLD

Have used these guys about 4 times now (mainly for my kids mobiles lol). Certainly a bit sceptical as I was expecting to be ripped off going on a prior experience, but no. We had two occasions where their iPhones kept on powering down and not turning back on. The owner said it needed resetting and never charged us a thing which I was shocked by :) Then my daughter dropped her mobile in the water and we needed the motherboard replacing, and they were $70 cheaper than all the others for the same brand. Lastly we had an iPhone screen replaced due to me stepping on my daughters mobile (oops). I chose a Genuine Apple screen and it was still cheaper than Apple's price. But we got our phones back so much quicker. A lovely family business it seems, really nice and funny guys and we always received a Warranty on the work. Very happy with this place ..

This review is for Wellington Caves, Wellington NSW

03 May 2013

Definitely had a great full day here on our way to Victoria. We based ourselves in Dubbo and headed off with the family to tour the caves as none of our teenagers had never been inside a cave system. Is was in summer time and the temperature was 48 degrees but we were amazed that once we got in the caves, it was just so cold. Absolutely beautiful if you like this sort of thing. We all got gloves and hard hats and walked on a guided tour which seems to go everywhere, the cathedral and garden caves were the most beautiful. There was tunnels and stair systems which the kids loved and was very educational for them as well. When we finished, we grabbed some lunch and headed across the road to the Japanese Gardens. Lovely day out. The only negative would be the tour prices. It costs anything from a one cave admission ($16) to the works (2 caves and the mine $46.50) which got pricey with a whole family.

This review is for Wilsons Boathouse Seafood Restaurant, Manly QLD

03 May 2013

Went as a family group to this restaurant as we were crazy about seafood and enjoy a good wine. Without knowing, we happened to have our table booked right on the waters edge, watching the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race during our lunch. What an amazing view we had!! Every meal and dessert was lovely, but as I said, the last time we ate here was last year. Unfortunately, through talking to my parents, there seems to be new owners and sadly, it's not the No1 seafood restaurant in Brisbane as it used to be. My parents said there last visit would be their last as food was nothing like top quality, the staff were too young and inexperienced (including the 13-14yo daughter) and was so over priced. Sad that it hasn't maintained the wonderful name it always had.

This review is for My Driving School, Carindale QLD

02 May 2013

Didn't really know any driving schools around so randomly picked one for one of my teenagers. After only two lessons, I received a call saying that their car was involved in a crash and would be off the road for 3 weeks. So they organised to transfer my remaining credits and put us with MY DRIVING. Wow couldn't have been happier. Liz was wonderful, a really young, happy and confident person. Just couldn't believe after only two lessons, my teenager was confident enough to get on the freeway. She taught her so many little tips to gain her confidence. They use new Suzuki Swifts and you have the choice of manual or automatic. They get given priority booking slots for the driving tests, that way, their customers can get in earlier instead of going through Dept of Transport. We used their car for the Test, Liz popped around our house 1 hour earlier to make sure our daughter was ready and relaxed, she took her for a warm up drive then drove her to Dept of Transport. While she went for her test, Liz waited for her until she finished. As she passed, she was allowed to drive the car back home which made her day. They really do look after the kids as its a big day for them. And there was never an issue changing appointments, always happy to oblige and help us in any way. Very happy customers here ...

Been here a few times when we meet interstate friends in the city. Have always loved getting a table out on the balcony, but this time we were placed inside as they botched up our booking. Head up the escalators to this restaurant, it's got a great bar area while you wait, and you will wait if you haven't made a booking, esp on the weekend. As there is more than one kitchen, we have found that lately, the meals are not in sync ie the pasta dishes arrived a good 10-15mins before the steaks so you can't all eat together. The menu is massive, loads to chose from. But please please get your Receptionist who takes your booking - try and smile and be happy. Every time we go in, the same girl is always the same ... Not Happy Jan lol. The bar staff are always happy so this helps ..

Used this company when I needed to sell my small car as the seats had marks on it from the previous owner. I requested a clean inside and out and to deep shampoo my seats, front and back. I was advised to have my car cleaned in the morning so I had time to dry it. This I did, I went home leaving all the doors open and left the car in the sunshine to dry out the seats. I aired it out the next day just in case. But there was this strong chemical smell in the car that was so bad. I went back and they said that the cleaning solution was still in the foam of my seats as they went really deep hence they cleaned it again. It did nothing, was a mess actually. I ended up taking my car to another place who said I had to physically take out my seats and air them for days. Was a real pain but ended up fixing the solution. Reluctantly, I got my money back after advising them I would take the problem further, that I needed the money to have the seats re-cleaned ..
