This review is for Hello Play, Coorparoo QLD

We got a great deal from an online discount site for 3 visits for $12-13 a snack and drink are included in the entry price.
This is a huge play centre with lots of different areas for all different ages. There is a jumping castle as well as a huge inflatable slide. 2x ball pits (one for younger children and one in the older kids section) an under 1 area fenced off, lots of ride on toys, swings and slides spread around the place and a water filled bladder.
My nearly 3 year old didn't stop moving the whole time we were there. So much to see and do and no time for a rest.
Unfortunatly lack of parental supervision lets this place down. Older children were constantly in the under 3's section (ball pit in particular) and I saw a number of smaller toddlers knocked over by running children or pushed from ride on toys. I followed my daughter from each section and ensured she was behaving and safe. Due to the size of the play area you can not sit and watch from the café area. This isn't necessarily a bad thing if your willing to supervise but it seems to be used by many parents who are not willing to do so.
We would definitely return despite the above, as it is no fault of the centre. These things come with attending such a huge play centre.

This is our favourite play centre. Not only do they have 2x disco sessions a day (more in holidays from what I have heard) but they have the usual 2 play sections, one section for under 4 and another for over 3. The big play section has 3 huge slides as well as lots of maze like climbing.
I love the food menu. No deep fried anything. Lots of fruit and basic snack foods as well as sandwiches for the kids, then a wonderful menu for mums/dads/grandparents as well.
The place is very well thought out.
They have undies, nappies and socks all available in case of accidents which can be such a relief on an 'off' day.
We will return time and time again!

This review is for Dracula's Cabaret Restaurant, Broadbeach Waters QLD

I love Dracula's Cabaret Restaurant. I have been 3 times in the last 8 years and each show has been absolutely fantastic.
The food is always delicious and the cocktails are brilliant. You can't go past the fishbowl cocktails and jelly shots served in syringes!
The service is great although some of the 'characters' personalities take some getting used to but that is all part of the experience. Right from the wait outside the building with the characters creeping around to the table service everyone is in full costume and character but if you have a problem/question they are there to help.
We are due to return next month for my husbands work Christmas party and I can't wait!

This review is for Crowne Plaza Hotel, Surfers Paradise QLD

I stayed here with my husband and toddler in April this year. We had a voucher so our stay was very affordable for 2 nights. Our door card stopped working several times so we had to return to reception to have it reprogrammed each time (4 times during our stay) the staff were always apologetic.
The service was wonderful in all sections from reception to the restaurants. The buffet breakfast and dinner in the Relish Restaurant and Bar were both delicious. Our daughter was given an activity bag each visit with crayons and paper which was great.
We will return again.

This review is for Elvis's Cafe/Takeaway, Noosaville QLD

verified email - 17 Sep 2013

We stayed in Noosaville in September 2012 and visited Elvis's Cafe/Takeaway. It is in a fantastic location just past the strip of cafes and restaurants, there is plenty of parking and its still directly across the road from the water. We stopped in twice during our stay, once for ice-cream and the next time for lunch. The food and service were both very good and affordable.
We would definitely return when in the area!

This review is for Due East Restaurant And Bar, Wakerley QLD

We visited Due East after finding it advertised on a child friendly restaurant/cafe website. It is the most family friendly restaurant we have come across and nice and close to home.
The restaurant is set up well with plenty of space between tables, beautiful decor and very clean. There are several toys to take back to tables as ll as an enclosed playground just outside of the that belongs to the restaurant. The service was very friendly right from our arrival till we left.
My husband and I both had the eye fillet and the meal was amazing. My daughters meal came out really quickly and she finished her fish and chips in record time.
Our waitress told us they have more activities such as colouring in for the kids to take back to their tables and about the events they have through the week to bring our daughter along to.
I have now joined the Kids Club and will get emails letting us know when they have special events on.
We will most certainly be back in the very near future and recommend to everyone.

This review is for Freestyle Tout, Fortitude Valley QLD

This is a great place to go if you have a sweet tooth. Freestyle Tout have an amazing dessert menu. We have been a few times now (always form dessert) with a friend who is vegan. Each week they offer a vegan special as well as the menu option which makes dining out so easy for us as a group. It's a perfect special occasion venue. We tend to go mid-late afternoon or Sunday to avoid the busiest weekend times.

This review is for Lollipop's Playland & Cafe, Cannon Hill QLD

This centre is quite big with lots of different areas. It has the usual climbing area for the over 4's and a much smaller one for under 4's also some rooms for parties. what sets it apart from other centres I have been to is the 2 jumping castles a babies/toddler area and a small tea cup merry-go-round.
The food is good however can take a long time even on a quiet day. Popcorn is a great option.
Unfortunately there is no ball pit for the under 4's and the toys in the baby/toddler area need batteries or are missing pieces. Still a great option on a rainy day, my daughter loves it.

This review is for Shapland Swim School, Alexandra Hills QLD

I have been taking my daughter to Shapland Swim School at Alexandra Hills for a little over 12 months. Leanne and Ivan who run the swim school are wonderful, they are so accommodating (changing lesson day/time and make up lessons) kind and caring. The school is a little out of the way for us I actually drive past 2 other swim schools on the way there but seeing my daughter thrive in confidence and ability out weighs a shorter drive. I look forward to my newest addition starting lessons next year.
