This review is for Ballarat Autoglass Windscreen O'Brien, Ballarat Central VIC

After completely smashing my rear windscreen it was recommended that I contact Ballarat Autoglass. Within half an hour I had dropped the car off and they had sourced a windscreen for me. Marianne dropped me back at work and within 2 hours the car was ready to be picked up. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They made what could have been a stressful process very easy and smooth. Thanks heaps guys. Keep up the great work.

As I work in Ballarat one day per week I decided to get my car serviced at Ultra Tune in Mair Street. From the time I booked my car in up until I collected it, the guys there made the whole process very easy. Their customer service was excellent, and when I collected the car they went through everything with me, including what services I needed to prioritise and what could wait. They were also great value for money! I highly recommend them.

I recently went along to Kritamos in Richmond to celebrate getting a new job. I had walked past it a number of times, and finally decided to go in. What a great decision!!! The food was fantastic, and despite me not being a red meat eater, there was a good variety. We had dips, saganaki, a delicious 'Kritamos Salad', prawns, scallops, and a beautiful dessert (sorry - I've forgotten the name of it!) The waiting staff were excellent, and overall it was a really lovely experience. Whilst it wasn't the cheapest place I've ever been, it was worth it (the price below includes a lot of food and a few glasses of wine). I highly recommend it. Also, we went on a Tuesday night and didn't have to book. You may need to check this if you plan on going on a weekend.

I decided that I wanted to get my partner a portrait of her two whippet dogs for Christmas. After looking around for a couple of weeks and getting some extremely expensive quotes (one was $650!!) I fortunately came across Mary's business details at my local vet. From the first moment I contacted Mary I knew that I had found the right person. She was very engaging, warm, friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. We arranged a day for me to take 'Teddy' and 'Honey' to her studio in Fairfield, and it was a very exciting day! Mary was great with them and they responded very well to her pocket full of treats! Whilst I had initially thought that I would get just one portrait of them, when Mary sent me through my options they were all so lovely that I ended up deciding on three smaller photos in the one frame. When I went to collect the photos it was great - Mary had managed to capture their exact characters! I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I recently moved into a flat and there was terrible lino on the kitchen floor. I initially contacted two established flooring companies to come over and give me a quote. Not only did they both quote me around $1200 for a tiny area, but when I wouldn't committ they became quite nasty. It was such a negative experience - and particularly being a female who lives on her own, it was very unpleasant. I was just about to give up when I found Colin. In addition to being a general handyman Colin also works with Swan Street Sales in Richmond. From the moment I called him I knew I had finally found someone!! He was absolutely delightful to deal with, very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He came over and measured the area, told me what type of flooring to look at at the shop (Swan St sales), came over a few days later and within one day had prepared the area and laid down the flooring - the total cost for both labour and materials around $450 !!!!!! I cannot recommend Colin highly enough.

This review is for Robert Melbourne - Home Maintenance, Oakleigh South VIC

I contacted Robert after finding his details on this website. I have recently moved into an apartment and just needed some odd-jobs done. Robert was very professional, arrived on time, was very reasonably priced, and did a great job. He put some shelving up in the kitchen, istalled a cabinet in the bathroom, and also fixed / grouted the kitchen sink (and fixed the leaking tap). I would not hesitate to recommend him.

This review is for Mary Adler, Civil Celebrant, Melbourne VIC

My sister and I were searching for a celebrant to speak at our mother's funeral. I got onto 'WOMO' and searched under 'celebrants', and then started reading all the positive reviews for 'Mary Adler'. She spent time with us before the funeral and really tried to get to know our beautiful mum so she could do her justice - which she absolutely did. She had a lovely, warm manner throughout the service, and many people in attendance commented on how great they thought she was. I would highly recommend her.

This review is for Himalayan Sherpa Nepalese Curry Restaurant, Richmond VIC

I found out about this restaurant on this site and as with other reviews, I highly recommend it. I decided to book a table for four on a Saturday night, and I think that booking a table on the weekend is necessary as the restaurant appears to be very popular - and understandably so. However in saying that, the atmosphere was not noisy or over-crowded. The food was delicious and very reasonable, and the staff were lovely and very helpful. Also on site is a delightful small room with crafts / jewellery for sale. I will certianly be a regular!

verified email - 27 May 2011

I took a friend along to Oritas Fushion Japanese for her birthday dinner after reading some very good reviews of it on this website. All I can say is that it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were lovely, very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxing and not too noisy - and the food!! WOW!!!! The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. The tempura prawns were definitely a favorite. My friend and I decided to share our dishes. It was certainly not cheap - but for a special occasion or even to just treat yourself, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This review is for Kamel, Albert Park VIC

verified email - 23 May 2011

I took a friend along to 'Kamel' for dinner on a Friday night. I had made a booking earlier in the day as I knew from walking past the restaurant that it was quite small. The food was absolutely lovely. The pistachio crumbed goats cheese with fig paste and turkish bread was SO nice, as too were the red lentil and chickpea falafels with a salad of quino, cucumber and capsicum with tzatzik. It is a place where you order a few dishes and share them - otherwise they offer banquests for four people or more. The restaurant is licensed and there was a good selection of wines. The service was quite good - perhaps slightly above average. The atmosphere was quite lively given that the restaurant was full and the space not large. Overall definitely worth the visit - I would not hesitate to go there again.
