Visited this cafe recently and it was such a different experience to my last visit there which was months prior. It wasnt my choice to go here, however it was convenient and had just had a bit of a makeover so it is where we ened up. I am glad we did end up there because it was a really enjoyable lunch. Our group of 3 were discussing the huge difference in service. We asked a staff member if the cafe had changed hands and she said yes it had. Wow, what a difference. The tables were cleaned and cleared immediately, we were offered water, we were asked if everything was ok and we were happy with our meals. The staff were all amazing, very aware and very approchable.

The food was fresh and hot, soft drink was very cold and the coffee was just right.

It's not the cheapest place around, however the food was nice and the service was faultless. Always perfer to hand my money over to a business that takes pride in who they employ and clearly makes customer service a priority.

After going to a couple of local chiropractors, I was either not able to find the pillows I was looking for or they just made it too hard to buy them.

I went online and compared prices (inc postage) and ended up ordering two Sleeprrr memory foam pillows via the 'Back to Basics Chiropractic' website. They had the pillows in stock and their postage was a little cheaper than other online stores/websites.

I got exactly what I was after, the same pillows were a bit cheaper than if I had of bought them from a chiropractor here in Perth, and I ended up getting free postage as I spent the required amount to qualify. Not only that, from date of order/payment to delivery was less than 5 working days (which is awesome from NSW to WA!).

I would go straight here again when I need my next lot of pillows or support products. Excellent service!

Friendly, polite, efficient, very well presented staff.

We (3 people) purchased food both from the cabinet and had an item made up. All food was delicious, hot and fresh. Salads in salad bar were extremely fresh and looked very inviting. They do not skimp on more expensive items, for example sundried tomatoes, advocado.

Highly recommend: Turkish bread (roll, generous size) with chicken, cheese, avocado, spinach, sundried tomato and pesto mayonaise, lightly toasted. Was the best turkish roll I have eaten from a cafe.

Drinks were great and cold, recommend spearmint milkshake. A fellow diner asked if they cold do an iced coffee with soy milk and they happily oblidged. I tried it and it was really good and I am not a fan of soy milk!

Great selection of both hot and cold foods. Tables were clean and tidy, prices were good for the quality and portions of food we had.

The take away hot meals and take away chicken caesar salad look great as well.

Really loved the freshness of the food here and all 3 diners thoroughly enjoyed our lunches.

Conveniently located in shopping centre. Good range of homewares and gifts (can get something for pretty much anyone). A decent all round gift store to suit any budget.

I also love that they stock Perth themed items such as the Lost Perth book, Perth Weather Live calendar and Perth Monopoly!

Nice, relaxing, happy atmosphere at this restaurant. We had a party of 5. Restaurant was full on this Saturday night. We had a good amount of room around our table, plenty of room to move. Staff were polite and friendly. All of our entrees and meals looked beautiful when presented at the table. All mains came at the same time and considering the restaurant was pretty much at capacity, they came out in very good time.

I cant comment on the taste of the other meals, but I had veal scallopini ($29.90). Really generous serving. Flavours were delicious. Would have liked the meal to be a bit warmer, it was not hot. Just warm. The dish was still very enjoyable.

Plates were cleared quickly and staff were attentive without crowding your space.

We all enjoyed our meals very much. We had two desserts at the table, one passionfruit cheesecake and one sticky date pudding. I was a little disappointed when the cheesecake came and it did not have a biscuit base (thats my favorite bit!!!), but it was really delicious, I would have it again. Not sickly as some cheesecakes can be. The apple pie in the cabinet looked pretty good as well, I had a hard time choosing!

This was not our first visit to Flames, we have been with both large and small parties and on each occasion the service has been fantastic and the food good.

Next time Im having the Filet Mignons, that looked delicious!

We were the last people in the restaurant and at no stage were we rushed or did staff hover or make us feel like we had to leave. Very friendly and relaxing place - you can tell it is family owned, we would have been kicked out otherwise! Thankyou for having us, we will return :)

Total cost just under $200 - 5 mains, 2 entree, garlic bread to share, 2 desserts.

Experience was a little different to my Mums who bought blinds from the same company a little while back. Everything was pretty much satisfactory, however I did have to follow up a couple of times to get an install time. Although I had a date set, a rough timeframe was important so I could schedule time off work. I wasnt able to get a time frame until the day prior to installation.

Blinds did not take long to manufacture and were ready within timeframe stated, which was 2-3 weeks.

Sales rep was friendly, did what was required and was polite and well presented. Only minor negative was it seemed a bit rushed. Would have been nice to see more samples - I didnt realise there were so many more colours available until I spoke to my Mum who used the same company. What I settled on is satisfactory and the end product is good.

The installers arrived exactly on time, introduced themselves and were polite, quick and efficient.

A deposit is required, and full payment required prior to installation. As this was the case I requested the installer bring my receipt with the. I was told they could/would do this however I didnt get a receipt. Will wait for one to arrive in the mail, if not will follow up.

This review is for Attfield Tavern, Maddington WA

Vistited the Attfield Tavern as it was on the way to our destination. Late lunch on a Sunday - there were not many people at all. It was very quiet.

It took a good 15 minutes for us to be served. The staff taking out the food (bar staff) were a little confused as to what was going where. The lady who served us was friendly, but a little flustered. Halfway through taking our order she stopped to take food out. She came back and got our drinks, opened the wrong rum (put it back n fridge) and when I asked for pear cider, she said they didnt have it so I chose something else.

Pub is nothing special inside, but was clean and spacey. Staff were neat and tidy, welll presented.

Food/beverages:

1x steak sandwich on turkish bread, no tomato $16
1x steak sandwich on bread (toasted) $16
1x Pineapple cruiser $9
1x Bundaberg Rum can $12 - ouch!

Steak sandwich without tomato came with tomato, no biggie, took it out, but dont like wasting food! Chips on the side tasted a bit fishy, but I dont eat fish so I would probably notice it more than someone who does.
Bread used for toasted steak sandwich was too small for what was in it, made it really messy to eat.
Flavour of the food was great, the thin steaks tenderised well and not chewy. Sandwiches contained betroot, small slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and a really nice relish. Food was not warm which I found to be the only downer. If the steak and cooked onions had of been warm it would have been delicious.

$21 for the two drinks made the visit not very good value considering the location and surroundings, too expensive to have another drink so we left.

This review is for Strand Progressive Heads Hair & Beauty Salon, Maddington WA

verified email - 18 Jul 2014

Like alot of women, I have tried many hairdressing salons.

I tried Strand Progressive in Maddington because a couple of people I know had started to go there and their hair had looked the best I had seen it.

The salon has been there for a while, it is very spacey, not really fancy fittings but good equipment and products are used. The lounge style seats at the basin are extremely comfortable.

I am so glad I made the appointment and went. I wish I had of done it sooner. So much care was taken and my long hair had life and looked amazing. Karen cut my hair so beautifully and is amazing with colour! Having coloured dark hair I wanted to lighten it up a little without having to bleach it. Karen knew exactly what to do, so I sat there in her capable hands as she took much care in colouring and putting foils in my hair. It is exactly how I have wanted it for so long that no other hairdresser has been able to give me - I previously walked out of other salons looking the same.

The staff are friendly, take care and enjoy what they are doing, at no point did I feel rushed or unfinished as I have in other salons.

I have been recommending this salong to friends and family and I will continue to go here. Happiest I have been with my hair for a very long time.

This review is for Jessons Flowers, Canning Vale WA

It doesnt surprise me that Jessons Flowers have been around for as long as they have. I have been lucky enough to have had quite a few bunches of flowers and arrangements delivered by Jessons and each has been vibrant and beautiful. Todays arrangement (lucky me!) was a stunning mix of purples and white, the flowers so fresh and arrived with water spritzed on the petals which looked amazing. Delivery staff are always smiling and friendly and the flowers always last well.

As a purchaser of flowers going into the store, there is always a wonderful range available or of course staff will custom make something for you. Also a great range of gifts in store for all sorts of occassions, well priced and a good range.

This review is for Modo Mio, Burswood WA

verified email - 18 Jul 2014

At first glance, Modo Mio at Crown Casino in Perth is elegant, warm and inviting. We were greeted nearly immediately and seated. The seating is well spaced and comfortable, plenty of room between tables and when seated at the table.

Upon presentation of the menu I was a little surprised that the menu was paper, just a small point, however it did not seem to suit the elegance of the decor and setting. Having said that, there were many mouth watering selections. Our table of 4 had the following mains:

- Linguini ai gamberi, brandy, asparagi, pomodoro fresco, aglio e peperoncino Linguini with prawns, brandy, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, garlic and chilli. This pasta dish was a very good sized serve with a generous amount of prawns. Prawns were cooked beautifully, as was the pasta.

- Gnocchi di patate con tartufo nero e porcini alla Norcina. Potato gnocchi with porcini mushroom, black truffle,
leek, bacon and cream sauce. Melt in your mouth gnocchi in a beautiully silky creamy sauce. Very filling and satisfying.

- Variazione di agnello costolette con polenta croccante e
spallotto brasato. Amelia Park lamb chop with crispy polenta, slow cooked lamb shoulder and seasonal vegetables. This was by far the most visually pleasing dish on our table. Whilst the dish was modern, the flavour of the lamb shoulder seemed deliciously traditional. The well sized frenched chops were cooked exactly to order and were thoroughly enjoyed. The polenta was amazing, the thin crisp outer combined with the soft polenta was heaven to eat and the fresh herbs throughout made it totally divine. This was an amazing dish. The lamb and polenta so flavoursome and delicious you want to savour every mouthful!

- Scaloppine di vitello alla Bolognese, spinaci e parmigiano. Pan-fried veal scaloppini with Bolognese sauce, baby
spinach and parmesan cheese. To be honest, this was not what I had expected. I had expected a couple of small medallions of veal, however I was presented with 3 pieces of veal on top of fresh spinach. Just the right amount of bolognaise sauce ensured it did not overpower the flavour of the melt in your mouth veal. By melt in your mouth, I mean you did not need a knife to cut it, it was incredibly tender. A beautifully sticky sauce was scattered on the plate and with fresh parmesan and cracked pepper offered at the table. This main meal was a substantial serving and was a complete delight to eat.

Desserts:

Tiramisu - Looked delicious and was a pleasure to eat. Tiramisu was presented in a good sized oval glass bowl. Also on the plate was a raspberry sauce that was to die for. Slightly bitter which was perfect. The fresh strawberry sitting in the raspberry sauce looked delightful on the plate.

Panna cotta alla vaniglia, zuppetta di ‘amarene fabbri'
e rabarbaro e croccante al caramello. This was the only dish I didnt sample, however it was presented beautifully and was enjoyed by the diner. Decent sized serve.

Gelato. Trio of homemade ice cream: amarena cherry marble, vanilla and Nutella. I am not a huge gelato or icecream fan, however I had been told that the Nutella gelato was really good so ordered this for dessert. Yes, the nutella gelato was certainly delicious, so creamy and smooth. However, the star on the dessert plate for me was the Amarena cherry gelato. You must like cherry to enjoy this gelato as the flavour is strong (without being sickly strong). It was superb. The three flavours of vanilla, nutella and cherry are meant to be on the plate, just as they were - no more, no less. Such an enjoyable end to the evening.

The service at the table was outstanding. We were well looked after without staff being intrusive and 'hovering'. Drinks were cold and water topped up as needed. All meals were presented at the same time and table was cleared and set between courses promptly.

When the booking was made we originally had a diner that required gluten free food. This was exceptionally well catered for and the staff had excellent knowledge of the menu and were quick to point out suitable dishes. Staff were extremely concious of requirements from a quick mention at time of booking.

Really enjoyed my dining experience here, as did the people I was with. Will definately return as there are more dishes on the menu I would like to try.

Overall, lovely menu and produce and knowledgable, polite, well presented staff. A very enjoyable experience.
