This is a great place to grab something when you're on the go. There's lots of choices, like Fish and Chips, Beef Kebabs, Falafel and Pizza and plenty of drinks on offer. You can also get discounts if you have a student card. My favourite food here is the Fish and chips for $7.50- it's yummy and the price is reasonable. There are some chairs for eating in as well.

This is a small Thai takeaway shop near Sydney Uni and Redfern station. The food is tasty and delicious, perhaps sometimes a bit oily and heavy on the stomach, but tasty nevertheless! The decor is modern and colourful, so it's a nice experience to eat in. My favourites are the Satay Chicken with peanut sauce and the Steamed vegies for $7 in the lunch special menu. Most other lunch items are around the $9 which is a bit expensive compared to the Thai shops in nearby Newtown.

This salon seems to be geared toward men's haircuts, as I didn't see any women here when I went, but nevertheless a nice salon where I had a good haircut. I was very pleased with my new look- some streaks done for under $40, which was good value for money. This is a comfortable, cosy, small salon. Girls can have a basic cut starting from $20.

This restaurant has good service, though it was a little slow to get our meals. The food was not great, but still reasonably tasty. I had a beef noodle soup which was nice and spicy. I was impressed at the prices, which meant we ended up with a very cheap bill for 2. It's a good place to go if you have a budget and are a local or in the area.

I thought the food offered here was okay, but with lots of room for improvement. I had a laksa for around $9, and I thought it was inferior compared to some of the other laksas I've had before. If it was $6, it might be okay, but I thought $9 was too expensive for something not so great. It didn't have much flavour. The restaurant itself is a bit dark and could do with some brightening up.

This review is for Crustini's Pizzeria Cafe, Marrickville NSW

The Pizza's at Crustini's are impressive, the pizza dough is crusty and thin and there are an array of fresh toppings to choose from. The staff are welcoming and laid back. I found the prices to be good value for money, and what you get is a lot better than the pizzas from the big pizza chain groups. Very delicious and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good pizza.

This cafe is small and offers homemade styles of food such as pizzas, bacon and eggs, milkshakes, soups, etc. There are also lots of lovely little cupcakes and breads on offer. I had a risotto and a pizza here and I was satisfied with the meals, however I found the prices of around $8 to be a bit costly for what I received. The pizza had been sitting in the display cabinet, looking a bit dehydrated and was just warmed up. It was nice in the end, but I felt the price was a bit much. Otherwise, the staff are friendly and accomodating. There is even a kid's corner with a few story books so its child friendly.

This review is for Thai Delight Cusine, Marrickville NSW

This is a small Thai eatery conveniently located near Marrickville train station. It is for the locals, you wouldn't travel from far to dine here. But the food is nevertheless tasty and delicious. My favourites were the pad thai noodles and panang curry. Prices start from $12 up for a main course meal and there's lots to choose from. It is very quiet and there are lots of daily specials. Not the best decor, but a comfortable indoor dining experience.

This shop is cool- I really love the atmosphere and the African theme. The staff are really friendly and did a great job with my hair. I just came in for a quick cut and was surprised at the price of $25. I have walked past many times and didn't think it would be that cheap- the interior of the shop is clean and bright, and I would have expected more expensive prices. Very professional service at a great price.

This review is for D & D Hair, Newtown NSW

I went to D & D to get my hair done for a renewal of wedding vows ceremony. I wasn't exactly sure of what I wanted when I arrived, but I explained the general 'look' I was after- something simple and natural, and they did my hair beautifully, with pins put back and white flowers tied through (from my bouquet). The lady who did my hair was sweet and did a great job. I think it costed about $60 -$70.
