I can't thank the organisers and contributors for WOMOW enough. It's great to be able to find services that people like and which ones to avoid, especiallly when you've just moved into a new area. A big thank you for My gift card and I will definately keep contributing and recommending this site f\to friends.

I don't live far from here and for chips they are excellent. Their fish is fresh but only small pieces, you have to pay extra for a larger piece. I've definately ate better but it is convenient.

Always stay at Quest when I'm in Canberra for work. Great staff close to restaurants and coffee. Beautiful room for a lot less than the Novotel and it even has a balcony, so you can have cigarette outside without going down to the street. Only downside is noise from patrons at the restaurants and pubs nearby

I stayed over night on several occassions at this hotel as I visit Canberra on a regular basis. It is advertised as 4 star as does not live up the that reputation. Strange set up with some rooms with sink and mirror in the middle of the room separate from the bathroom. Most annoying is the noise of air conditioning and then the outside noise even if you are on one of the higher floors is dreadfull, there's nothing like to sound of garbage trucks at 5am when you've had a very long work day the previous day

We've been over 50 for a few years now and kept with the NRMA for quite a while till we ghot our latest renewal for the two cars and home contents. So we started ringiong around and called APIA. How refreshing to have someone answer your call rather than an automated service. Everything was straight forward, they slashed our premiums without reducing the value insured, which the NRMA did and we couldn't be happioer, we should have made this move 5 years ago. By the way our son who is 26 sometimes drives one of the cars and it's no extra as long as the one of the policy owners is over 50

This review is for Ali Baba's Kebabs, Ringwood VIC

Love their Kebabs always fresh ingrediants and I love that you can get beef kebabs. They taste great and one is very filling as opposed to Macca's where you need to purchase more to get the same fulfillment. They also have a rewards card so you save money.

This review is for Door & Window Maintenance Malcom Bibby, Mitcham VIC

We are renting our property and needed a new sliding screen door as their wasn't one supplied as part of the rental. As we didn't want to spend a fortune as it's not our hose we started looking at second hand, and of course no two windows or doors are the same. We found Malcolm's ad among others in the Whitehorse Leader newspaper. He knew exactly what we were after and within 2 weeks had tracked down the prefect door to suit and installed it this afternoon. It looks great and very professional, he also removed an old cat flap from the back door and sealed that as well and then supplied a couple of second hand wheels to help the heavy sliding glass door slide easier. All for the bargain price of $150. He's now on the lookout for a cheap security door for our back door, so as you can see we are definately using Malcolm's services again and would highly recommend him

This review is for Mideast Car Airconditioning & Radiators, Nunawading VIC

verified email - 16 Jul 2013

Needed to get a small leak fixed in my radiator beore it got any worse, so being new to the area I let my fingers do the walking. I lot of mechanics could do the job if I supplied the new radiator and there were those who could supply but didn't fit. It was Friday morning and I rang Mideast and spoke to Chris who knew exactly what was required and to my delight they are open Saturday mornings and he could fit me in the next day. On Saturday I arrived at 8.30am as arranged and spoke with Paul, who had been well briefed by Chris and he told me to give him a couple of hours and he'll have it all fixed. At 10 am he rang and said I could pick the car up at 10.30am and everything was fine. I arrived at 10.30 and Dominic and Paul took me through what was done and I was very happy. All three fellows were very professional and not once did I feel that they were talking down to me because I was a woman, which I'm sorry to say with Mechanics is a common occurrence. So if you are looking for someone who specialises in radiator problems, is not Condescending to women, won't rip you off and has fantastic service just give Chris Paul or Dominic a call,. the also specialise in Air conditioning so gues where I'm going when I need my air conditioning serviced

This review is for McDonalds, Chelsea Heights VIC

verified email - 11 Jul 2013

Having lived in most states in Australia and eaten a lot of McDonalds over the years, I'm sorry to say that Chelsea Heights is one of the worst. Service has improved slightly over the last few months, however the product has not, hastily thrown together burger, half full drinks and if you don't check your order before you leave missing burgers. Not to mention the cost and how they always hide away their budget menu so the public can't see it. One thing I do find rather alarming is that this is a family restaurant and at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon they have on Max TV (usually rated at least PG or M) on with scantily clad singers in front of young children eating their happy meals.

This review is for Coles, Mitcham VIC

verified email - 11 Jul 2013

I must complain about the bakery at Coles, not only is there very little choice the bread is lucky to last a day. I bought some bread rolls a month ago to eat the same eveing and they were very dry and bland. So I tried again last week only to find the same thing. Coles at Mitcham is quite big but the range and price puts it about on the same par as some of the smaller convenience store, i'm definately not going to buy bread thwere again a complete waste of money.
