This review is for Fix My Laptop, Windsor QLD

verified email - 05 Jun 2014

I had a problem with one of the keys (h) continually falling off the keyboard of my laptop. It seemed a small problem but without being able to stick it back on myself, I had to take it to Fix My Laptop which, by the way, has an excellent business name! That's what they do ... fix your laptop!!

I was pleased with the service and although I wish I didn't have to spend money for such a seemingly insignificant thing, without the key being repaired, I wouldn't have been able to use the laptop without difficulty.

Service was quick, reliable and I can recommend Fix My Laptop.

You'll get a standard massage service here. The store is a little poky and doesn't feel as comfortable or open as the other one in the centre. The staff are professional and they do a good job. You can have seated massage or table massage.

When your muscles are tight and you have a headache, there's nothing like giving up the Panadol and getting it sorted properly.

Healers Massage is great if you need a quick massage on the spur of the moment. You might be doing your shopping at Stafford City, pass by the shopfront and decide to go right in. They can usually fit you in without notice.

Expect to pay $1 per minute which is standard pricing for a massage. You can have a seated massage or one on the tables. The staff do a good job and the atmosphere is pleasant, clean and professional.

This review is for IndiMex Cafe, Bar & Restaurant, Greenslopes QLD

What I love about this place is that when you can't decide if you should go to an Indian restaurant or a Mexican restaurant, you don't have to!! They have both and they do them equally well!

I've had their eggs benedict breakfast and also chicken enchilada for lunch on a separate occasion and both times, the food was excellent. The service is warm and friendly and I love the decor! It's original, colourful, comfortable and welcoming.

I was interested to hear that the coffee is their own blend, commissioned by the chef and made from Indian and Mexican coffee beans. It's a great drop and I'll be back for more!

They also do cafe food which is handy given that a lot of people visit this stretch of Logan Road purely to window shop or buy from the interesting range of unique boutiques and other retailers.

They're open for breakfast at 7am and close at 10.30pm which is rare in Brisbane, to find a good meal past 9 o'clock at night! They also do home delivery and takeaway.

You can park for free for 2hrs in the Stones Corner Village car park.

Really good new restaurant with some innovation and uniqueness to it. Highly recommend you visit, even if you're not craving Indian or Mexican as they also have more mainstream dishes on the menu.

This review is for Little Paw Paw, Kedron QLD

Neat little cafe in Kedron serving good coffee and very tasty food. Plenty of healthy options on offer and there are usually new things to choose from as well as the standard items. They're currently doing jaffles :).

Easy parking, open at 6.30am and open 7 days all makes it very convenient and enjoyable. The decor is cheery too.

I take my elderly mother for breakfast here on a regular basis and she loves it because the staff recognise her now and save her her favourite table.

For just $12, you can have one of the breakfast specials. Our favourite is bacon, eggs, grilled tomato and toast and it includes a glass of orange juice and a coffee. Excellent value and the food is well presented and delicious.

Seating is comfortable - inside and outside - and there's always the day's newspaper floating around, plus magazines. There's a water station to help yourself.

The menu is quite extensive for a shopping centre cafe and features some lovely meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The pancakes for breakfast are quite spectacular, or you can choose waffles.

The girls are always so friendly and polite, they make it a pleasure to visit regularly.

This review is for Paleo Cafe, Paddington QLD

Even if you're just entertaining the thought of going Paleo, give the Paleo Cafe a try. It'll help you realise that you don't have to experience deprivation and that the food is tasty, healthful and maybe even indulgent, depending on your stance.

The staff are all quite knowledgeable about the Paleo way of eating and will answer your questions and help you understand.

The decor is cafeteria style and when we went, on a weekday lunch, the place was packed. The food was delicious, the prices reasonable and you definitely leave with a full stomach, but not a bloated one. Give Paleo a try, even if you start at the Paleo Cafe and derive inspiration from their menu.

$30 for a spa pedicure is excellent value. It's pretty much your standard Asian-run nail salon; all seems to be clean and well maintained.

The staff do a good job and there's a loyalty card that entitles you to a $5 discount every fourth visit.

Nothing extravagant though you do get the massage chair, the foot spa and the foot and leg massage. What more do you want for $30? :)

This review is for Naples Pizzeria, Grange QLD

verified email - 30 Apr 2014

You'd have to count on an independent local pizzeria to be able to provide those extra large pizzas when you want something bigger than a Dominos-style so-called 'large'. And of course, the quality is in a different lane to the big multinationals.

Naples Pizzeria has been around for years and it's a great go-to place when you don't feel like cooking or you're chilling out on a weekend evening. We mix it up now and then and order one of their excellent pastas (love the hard boiled egg in the lasagne!) and I particularly like the Scalloppine al Fungi (veal with mushrooms). It comes with lots of mushroom sauce and a good sized Italian side salad.

Don't expect prices to be in the same region as your el cheapo Dominos or Pizza Hut, but do expect flavour and authenticity.

Anna is always friendly and personable and you can get home delivery if you're too far into relax mode to go and get it yourself.

This review is for Aussie Farmers Direct, Richmond VIC

verified email - 30 Apr 2014

I gave Aussie Farmers Direct 5 stars for each item because they really are worth the higher prices though I usually try to pay less for my groceries. There is no doubt that the quality is superb and the service - fresh food delivered to your door - is outstanding.

I had several difficulties with the website but from the newsletters I receive, I see that that's undergoing constant revision and improvement.

I would love to be a much bigger Aussie Farmers Direct customer but for me, ducking out to the shops might actually be easier.

Still, I'd highly recommend it to anyone who values quality and supporting local, and have no negatives to say about the level of service or the product standards.
