This review is for Hair Engineers, Adelaide SA

verified email - 20 May 2011

My wife has been going to this establishment for a couple of years now when they were named "Cuts Only" They have now changed their name to Hair Engineers. However the quality of work produced is still of a high standard and the staff are very friendly and obliging. The price charged is more than reasonable. My wife confirms that she will continue getting her hair done here. Well recommended.

This review is for Moonta Chocolates Sweets & Treats, Moonta SA

A rather moorish lolly and chocolate shop that was hard to leave. They have chocolate bars in dark, milk and white not to mention the myriad of chocky frogs, pasties, dinosaurs and may other shapes to choose from in all of the above types of chocolate. All the chocolate products are made on the premises - a special chocolate bar can be made to order in about an hour. Great soft jubes for aging teeth, and a great range of other popular lollies and also some other varieties that you haven't seen for years. A great little lolly shop and as I said very hard to leave. The owners were very friendly helped us in regards to another local shopping venue.

This review is for Euston Bowling And Recreation Club, Euston NSW

verified email - 17 Mar 2011

The Euston Club is a modern sporting club situated on the banks of the Murray River with picturesque lawns and picnicking areas (when not in flood). They have many different poker machines than most clubs in the area. The dining room is spacious and bright with views of the River and the meals are adequate and tasty if not just a tad dear. A pleasant club well worth a visit and only about 75 kms from Mildura.

This review is for Pooraka Sand And Metal, Pooraka SA

Not only is Pooraka Sand and Metal in our local area but they also have a good range of gardening and landscaping supplies - gravels, sands permapine posts, cement formed shapes and much more. The counter staff are friendly helpful and obliging, delivery is prompt, usually the same day and the drivers are also obliging. Thoroughly recommend this company.

This review is for Banrock Station Wine & Wetlands Centre, Kingston On Murray SA

verified email - 18 Feb 2011

Banrock Station is an ideal stopoff when heading for the riverland towns of Loxton, Renmark , Mildura etc. We stopped for a look see and purchased some wine to consume at our destination. The wines are all very reasonably priced and there is a good range of all sorts for all tastes. Wine tasting is available before purchasing. We did not partake in the centres' full potential as there are meals available and also the wet lands walk for the energetic. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A good place to stop for a browse a feed and a wine.

This review is for Orange World, Curlwaa NSW

verified email - 17 Feb 2011

We have been going to call in to Orange World a number of times when we have been holidaying from South Australia and staying at Mildura, Coomealla or Wentworth having driven past it a number of times - well this time we called in and we weren't disappointed. On entering the office we were greeted by Mario who made us feel welcome and gave us our ticket which was also a brief story of the facility. Before the train ride the kids were entertained by "Uncle Brian" who gave a couple of renditions of popular songs. During the train ride "Uncle Brian's" commentary revealed details of the growing, harvesting, irrigating and packing of the different varieties of fruit and different varieties of oranges and mandarins grown at Orange World. The tour was exciting, interesting and informative with Brian's expert knowledge and dedication of the orange industry and his ability to put some of his experiences and knowledge into verse. a couple of which he recited on the tour. A very worth while adventure and congratulations to Mario, Maria and Brian for an outstanding Experience.

This review is for Inglefarm Bakehouse, Ingle Farm SA

We have been to the Ingle Bakehouse a number of times now to treat ourselves to their goodies. A good range of mouth watering cream cakes and buns, generously filled pies pasties and other pastries, and a friendly lady behind the counter. We have found their products are always fresh and almost melt in your mouth. It's hard to go past without ogling at the luscious array of products and inhaling the aromas of a bakery without buying something. The prices are quite reasonable as well. A real naughty shop if you are watching your weight ---- oh what the heck.

This review is for Cold Rock Ice Creamery, Elizabeth SA

verified email - 06 Feb 2011

Our son booked a kids party at Cold Rock Icecreanery at Elizabeth last Saturday. The staff set aside a small area of the shop for the kids. An ice cream cake topped with a variety of lollies etc was ordered and distributed between the kids. It was a great treat for the kids but a bit expensive.

This review is for Tunza Fun, Elizabeth SA

verified email - 06 Feb 2011

We went to Tunza Fun last Saturday for a kids birthday party. Although it may have been a bit noisy for oldies ears this is a good venue for entertaining kids. The games arcade venue had truck, car and motor bike simulators, arcade type of shoot em ups, games of brute strength, strategy games and all sorts of other games for kids and the young at heart. It was good value as it cost the organiser $17 a child. One game was a $6 game and most other games were $1 or $2 a game. The venue was booked for an hour for the price so one can imagine how much it would have cost if each of the 14 kids in the party played on these games for an hour at the regular prices (each member of the party could play on any of the games for free). Each party member received a goodie bag each as well so the value was great. The choice of the prizes from the redemption of tickets obtained were a bit cheap though. All in all a great adventure for a group of kids and Tunza Fun.

This review is for Hungry Jacks, Golden Grove SA

verified email - 30 Jan 2011

We went to Hungry Jacks at Golden Grove for a kids birthday party yesterday 28th Jan 2011. The forecast temperature was to be 39 degrees so it was going to be a hot one. The air conditioning in the main room was ineffective and the small side room, which was to accommodate the kids for the party was stifling. A single fan was being used in a fixed position and on asking if the conditioner could be turned on for the kids was met with the reply that it was not working. The food was of a usual good standard and the price was very reasonable. The room was constantly cleaned as spillages occurred with was a credit to their staff unlike other Jacks I've been to. The service on the whole quite good except around dinner time when every one comes in and wants to be served at once resulted in a medium size queue. Soon after the counter was empty. On the whole quite good but on this particular a very hot encounter.
