This review is for Lemongrass Thai Restaurant, Woolloongabba QLD

Small Thai restaurant - only a few tables but I think most of their service is takeaway. The food is of a good standard and the menu offers a selection of thai curries and stirfries. Always enjoy their red and green chicken curries.

Approximate cost: $12.00

Mum's kitchen do great pies and sausage rolls. The pastry is crisp and flaky and you can tell there is real meat inside. They also do great ham, chicken and salad rolls. No made up stuff in advance stuff - you choose your own rolls from their hot bread selection (I get one of the sesame rolls) and they will go out the back and make it up fresh. Service quick and cheerful.

Went here for lunch with a group of friends. The food was of a good standard and the favourite dishes were the wood fired pizzas and the Thai curries. Would be a good place to go for breakfast as well. Prices OK for POrt Douglas. Service OK but place was really busy.

Don't go here for the food but for the fun entertainment and drinks. We had an impromptu Hens Nights out as one of the girls in my group got engaged that weekend so we decided that Cane Toad Racing and lots of drinks were in order. What a hoot!

This review is for On The Inlet Restaurant, Port Douglas QLD

07 Nov 2009

On The Inlet prides itself on offering modern Australian Cuisine with a menu designed to showcase the freshest local seafood and best quality locally grown produce. We went at sunset and sat in the bar and enjoyed the views, a bucket of prawns with a nice cold beer (i had champagne) and watched as the huge 250kg George the Groper comes to visit for a feed. Very interesting. We enjoyed the place so much we visited three times during our 6 days in Port Douglas. Once for lunch, once for sunset drinks and once for dinner. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the seafood. Great place!

Set amongst the trees and around lots of free-flowing waterways and delightful lily ponds is a lovely resort style hotel in Port Douglas. The standard rooms are spacious with comfy beds and a resort style feel about them - simple in its elegance. The tropical buffet style breakfast in the Tree Bar and grill is a lovely setting and it overlooks the pool and waterfall.

This review is for Rydges South Bank Brisbane Hotel, South Brisbane QLD

07 Nov 2009

The Rydges South Bank is a comfortable, well located hotel at South Bank. Just cross the road and your in the Parklands and another 10 min walk and you are in the heart of Brisbane city. The bed was really comfortable and the rooms a good size. Try to get a room that faces the river as it is really pretty at night. Good friendly staff and happy atmosphere.

I love this authentic Queensland guest house. It provides luxury accommodation in a beautifully restored five level mansion situated in the leafy inner city suburb of Brisbane. This boutique guest house has four individually appointed rooms and I stayed in the White Room. Next time I shall save my pennies and book the Loft with its great city views. I really like this place because it is different and unique.

Adam's Oriental Restaurant offers a wide variety of Chinese, Malaysian and Thai dishes. Our party of 20 really enjoyed ordering a selection for the table with everyone trying most dishes. Adam's has won several Courier Mail Restaurant awards so you know the food is good. Enjoybody enjoyed their night out.
