This review is for Red Salmon, Wantirna VIC

verified email - 27 Aug 2007

We had skipped over Red Salmon a few times as it looked kind of 'expensive' from the outside. We were wrong though. Affordable good food with a broad menu to cater for all. Really nice decor and the biggest range of vodka I have ever come across!

This review is for Pullins Ski Shop, Mansfield VIC

We hired snow gear from Pullins on our way to Mount Bulla and the whole process was seamless. Having never been to the snow before our group needed a mix of ski and snowboard gear. The staff were really friendly and helpful also offering advice about beginner options once we got to the mountain. Despite the store being busy we didn't feel rushed and the gear we hired, including clothes, was excellent quality. They also have a range of gear for purchase too. Getting our gear on the way up to the mountain also saved a lot of time avoiding the huge queues at the Bulla ski hire. A very pleasant experience!

This is a really nice place to eat in or take away. The staff are always bright and friendly, the decor is warm and modern and the salads and sweets look unreal on display. Have had a pastry and salad for lunch and picked up an almond croissant for breakfast. Good choice of food and reasonably priced.

This review is for Birkenstock Boutique, Melbourne VIC

I love birkenstocks, I have a pair of sandles and a pair of regular shoes for work. The staff at the Birkenstock Boutique were very helpul in ensuring I had the right size and very patient while i decided if I could afford to buy such expensive shoes. Don't let the cost put you off though, these shoes are so comfortable, I doubt I will ever wear anything else! The style is unique and not suited to everyones tastes but worth a look if you want totally comfy shoes that are great for your feet. The Birkenstock Boutique has a huge range of birkenstocks so lots to choose from as well.

This review is for DaUday, Golden Point VIC

verified email - 20 Aug 2007

We used womow on the weekend to find a new restaurant to try in Ballarat and we were not disappointed. Just as previous reviews claimed DaUday offers a massive menu covering italian, indian and thai and the service was fantastic. With a nice venue, reasonable prices and good food (loved the mango ice cream for dessert) I'm sure we'll go back.

This review is for Vines Restaurant at Helen's Hill, Coldstream VIC

verified email - 17 Aug 2007

We had lunch one Sunday afternoon at the Vines restaurant at Helen's Hill and loved it. The menu caters for vegetarians and for gluten free. The views and property are stunning, the wine was great and we had a very spoilt afternoon over 3 courses! The floor in the restaurant is concrete, so with lots of people it can be a tad noisy but the prices aren't insane and the food was really tasty. We noticed on a brochure that they also have jazz weekends and things at different times of the year. Worth a look!

This review is for Conservatory, Southbank VIC

The Conservatory at Crown is a really nice place for a buffet breakfast or a Sunday afternoon 'tiffin'. Bookings are essential and arrive early if you want a window view. The service is excellent (which you pay for - it's not cheap!). Food is quality and there's lots to choose from. We have been here a few times for special occasions. I will definately go back.

This review is for Airstream Cafe, Glen Waverley VIC

Airstream has a decent menu and is relatively affordable. Good looking cake selection too. Service can be quite slow and unattentive at times though and the place is really loud when busy.

This review is for RACV Total Care, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 14 Aug 2007

I'm a huge fan of RACV total care. I have an older car and travel to and from Ballarat a lot. I've been towed, had my battery jump-started, locked my keys in the car (more than once), and just broken down in general for other reasons. The RACV road-side mechanics are always friendly and informative as to what they've done and what I need to do if the car needs more work. The RACV members card is a bonus too, they have a lot of discount offers around the place for a lot of things. Sadly I often forget to use it!

This review is for Nissan Moonlight Cinema, Melbourne VIC

verified email - 14 Aug 2007

Had great fun at the Moonlight Cinema last summer and look forward to returning again. Bean bags are worth the additional cost, but I would avoid the VIP section -much more space to spread out in general admission. Prices for food were expensive but you can bring your own esky and picnic which I will definately do next time. Get's cold so bring a blanket. Parking wasn't a problem but we arrived fairly early. A really fun movie experience!
