I have a pair of boots that I spent a lot of money on because I have trouble getting proper footwear for my feet. I did some online searching for reviews of shoe repair places in the city because I wanted to make sure I took them to someone who knew what they were doing. Because I've worn my boots every single cold day we've had, they had started to wear down a lot. They were wearing on the heel and the leather sole was also wearing thin - which I didn't notice until taking them in to see The Cobblers Last. I called on a Wednesday afternoon (12 ish) to see if they could repair them that day (otherwise I had no other work appropriate shoes other than sandals) - he said to bring them down and they would get them done by the end of the day. John was so lovely and professional. He said he would re-heel them and put a topy sole on for me. He noticed a scratch on them and said he would message me when they were ready to be collected. My boots were ready by 5pm and I was so happy to see they looked brand new and smelt like leather again. John had polished them up beautifully, done an excellent job on repairing the heel, and the topy was great. I was so relieved and was a nice surprise that they gave them a polish. I was going to jump online and review them straight away, but I wanted to wait and wear them first. I've worn them for two days now and they feel just as they always did, and better actually, because now I don't walk trying not to ruin them any further. I don't have to worry about wrecking them now and someone even commented on how they loved my boots yesterday! Thank you!!!!
