Nice trendy cafe set in a bluestone cottage, which makes it warm and cosy inside in winter. We came here for breakfast in the afternoon and enjoyed our time here. The staff are quirky and fun, friendly and upbeat. There was music playing that was a little too loud for my boyfriend's liking but he likes it quiet when we eat. Food was good, we would have liked a bigger plate or an option for a big breakfast that was actually big, as we like to share a plate. But you only learn what size is good for you by trying. Definitely order a plate each if you eat here. Coffee was well made and should be for almost 4.00 each. Not sure if we will be back but good as an option for a weekend brekki.

Little Asian store and cafe and grocery in one. Asian products and fresh food to take away, grocery items and a cafe selling coffee and sushi all in the same place. The smell of fish is a little strong at times but it is a sushi place after all. Coffee was nice, not great but not bad, and worth the 3.50 paid. Friendly service and I wasn't waiting too long. Open later than the rest of the cafes in the area so a good stop-gap if you are after a coffee later in the day like I was.
Nice, cosy and comforting cafe just near the bus stop and Coburg railway station. Good location, nice and warm inside (a huge bonus in winter!). Friendly staff but not overly friendly, customer service and warmth in manner would have been nice. Decor is inviting and makes you want to sit down and stay, but I decided to takeaway. Coffee was good, at 4.20 for a large, not sure if I will be back often but it is a good option for coffee and a small treat on your way home from Coburg or for a quick stop off.
good place to go for quick takeaway coffee and food. Wide range of grocery items and sweets, middle-eastern foods you don't see in the other stores. Great prices and authentic service! I was served quickly and coffee was nice, a little milky for my taste but well-priced for what you get. Will be back to try the hot food soon!
nice place to go to for a quick coffee. Prompt service, good options and a small sweet snack to go with your coffee like wafers and shortbreads, chocolate and biscuits. Friendly service and good coffee, reasonable prices and nice neat store. Not too many places to sit so probably more ideal for a quick takeaway. We came here as our usual café nearby was closed early, and we weren't disappointed. Looks more like a shop and also sells beans, coffee accessories and homewares. We'll be back for sure.
Approximate cost: $3.50 regular coffee
Grabbed a Turkey and salad sandwich and a coffee from here on my way home from work in the early afternoon. Food was okay, sandwich bread was actually soggy in places and the gourmet bread it was made with had little taste, which was disappointing. I expected more from a sandwich for $9.50. Coffee was quite small and also expensive for the size, and not that great, more milky and watery then anything else. I won't be back as we also had to wait a little while for these two simple things. A bit too expensive and a bit too slow for my liking. Food could be improved, too.
great place for fish and chips that is not greasy and oily. The shop is not overcome with fat fumes like other places, the service is friendly and helpful and the prices are great. I hadn't had a seafood stick in AGES and it didn't disappoint - nice and hot, crispy outside and soft inside. We have been back since our first visit and will definitely go there again. Just what you want out of a fish and chip shop.
Good place if you want to go somewhere to get revved up before going out dancing or such. Great drinks menu, heaps to choose from and such a wide range of beers, wines, and cocktails that you spend half the time just deciding what to have. This place was a bit loud for us, so not the best for lots of conversation, but the decor was nice and in a great location
Approximate cost: $15-30
Good place to visit for a break from work during lunch or morning tea break. Good coffee and atmosphere, friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and food is generous and tasty. Prompt service and helpful staff. Good experience and non-fuss. I'll visit again for sure.
Nice brunch spot in Essendon. Good place to go to linger over a big breakfast, family friendly and happy staff who are attentive and pleasant. Good prices and menu options, simple and easy to make up your mind on what to have. The crayons and drawing paper on the tables is a nice touch to entertain you/kids whilst you are waiting. My only complaint would be that the food took a while to arrive and that the housemade baked beans came in a tiny serving (size of an espresso cup, literally), and that they were cold. everything else was good. they let us share a plate and gave us a spare plate to use, which was nice. We would come here again but it is not the amazing big breakfast place we were hoping for.
