This cafe is in an absolutely delightful olde German shop and is full of character. There is plenty of inside seating as well as alfresco. Service is very friendly and efficient. The variety of German produce is excellent. The owner is the daughter of the original Otto of Otto's Bakery and has carried on his wonderful tradition to supply the very best of German cuisine.
For lunch I chose a roll with turkey, brie, cranberry sauce and lettuce plus a bowl of delicious potato wedges complete with sour cream and chilli sauce. The wedges were amazing as they were crispy on the outside while soft on the inside - perfect. My husband had German sausages (2 huge ones) with potato salad. They tasted wonderful. Evidently they are sourced from the Barossa Valley.
We were very satisfied with our meal and were unable to fit in dessert so we returned the next day for the Beinenstich (Bee Sting) which were just as I remembered from living in the Adelaide Hills and regularly going to Ottos' Bakery just for them.
Wonderful service, absolutely delicious food, good servings at reasonable price in a unique atmosphere - what more could you want. Evidently their breakfasts are first class. We will certainly return.

This restaurant is in a welcoming old bungalow in the main street. The balcony has lovely outdoor settings. The interior has an imitate and relaxing warmth. Each table is beautifully set with a single rose (which was an excellent imitation). The menu had a $25 house special which included any curry, rice, dhaal, naan bread, raita, mango chutney and salad. This is what I ordered. It was good value but each serving was rather small. My Malaysia Penang Curry was delicious but contained a lot of vegetables (capsicum and broccoli) and little meat. However all of the flavours were very tasty. My husband ordered another special of curried prawns with gin and garlic. He said the taste was delicious and he had more prawns than he had expected. We both had mango lassis - delicious and very thick. Our desserts were beautifully presented mango kalfi.
The waitress was very helpful, friendly and efficient. The Indian music was varied from pleasant and relaxing to a more modern style which did not suit the atmosphere. Evidently they have open fires blazing in winter, but not on the night we went.
Overall a very nice place with tasty food at reasonable prices.

Previously Johnston Brewery

A historic cellar door with loads of atmosphere. Very exclusive wines including their 2014 'Last Cut' Riesling and 2014 'Final Instructions" Shiraz which were absolutely delicious. Tastings are $5, but this is deducted from any wine purchase. Cheese platters are available to purchase to make the time even more enjoyable - a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Johnston's famous non-alcoholic cordials are available.

The hotel has had an amazing renovation over the past few years and the bistro has a unique atmosphere. There are several areas to dine both inside and alfresco. I have always found the service to be excellent. There is a lunch menu consisting of 11 different mains all priced at $11.
My mother-in-law said that the lamb's fry was exceptional. My fish (crumbed hake) and chips were delicious. The chips are the best I have ever had anywhere. On another recent visit my friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed the chicken schnitzel. The salad and hot vegie bar is outstanding. An added bonus is the iced tea which is self-serve and free of charge. I am looking forward to my next lunch which will be very soon.

A lovely venue with inside and alfresco dining. We received wonderful service and amazing food at a reasonable. I started with an entree of Pandan Chicken which was cooked to perfection and wonderfully presented with a little side salad and chilli sauce. My husband had Thai Fish Cakes which he said were yummy. My main course was Choo Chee Chicken while my husband had Choo Chee Fish. Even now my mouth is watering remembering the taste. The servings were amble. Our drinks were Singha Beer and Lemon Lime Bitters. I think the prices are a bit above average, but as we had an entertainment voucher the total price was good at $52.
Lunch specials are available Tuesday to Friday for $12.95. We will return to enjoy the wonderful food.

We have been there for lunch a few times over the last 6 months and will certainly return. Will try their breakfast next time.

At the beginning of winter I needed a pair of reef shoes. Unfortunately many stores carried seasonal items and I was finding it difficult to purchase some. Thankfully AMart Sports had a good range. The young assistant helped me take off my boots and fit the reef shoes. After a few tries she found the perfect size. Lovely thoughtful service which at my age was appreciated.

Huge range of toys at very good prices in their catalogue sales. Fantastic staff. I phoned regarding the availability of three items. Mikaela's phone manner was beautiful and she found two of the items in store. For the third out-of-stock item she made another suggestion which was very suitable. The toys were held in store for me to collect later that day - and they were there. The lad who brought them from storage did his utmost to assist me. The VIP Club rewards 1 point for every dollar spent. An extra 500 points ($5) is rewarded on the child's birthday. I was able to save $14 on my purchases. Will return.

This company installed a white ant protection system at our rental home and conduct annual inspections. They are wonderful to deal with - helpful and understanding.
Recently I was stung by a wasp and found its nest in one of our bushes at our home. I phoned this company to find out how much it would cost to remove. I was pleasantly surprised when I was advised that it was easy for me to exterminate the nest myself.
Fully recommend this company - they look after you.

Searching on the Internet for a particular brand of perfume (MOR marshmallow) I found that this store stocked what I wanted. I had passed this shop on many occasions but never been inside. What a pleasant surprise it was. They have a huge range of products including clothing (formal, casual and childrens), jewellery, perfumes, gifts and homewares, and at very realistic prices. So many 'different' items (not the normal 'can be found anywhere'). It is a place to relax and potter around. The owner was lovely and very helpful when I wanted to make my purchase - making suggestions which saved me some money. As the perfume was to be my Christmas present she offered to gift wrap it for me. I had purchased three articles of the perfume, but when I unwrapped it there was also a cloth drawstring bag and summer dressing gown wrap. I was delighted. The shop also has a beautique, which I intend to visit.
