I came here twice on 2 consecutive nights for dinner. The first night I had green tea cold soba noodles ($10) and vegetable miso coup ($9). Both were tasty, but I found that the noodles was very small with the portion for the price. I think they could make the noodles cheaper or do a larger portion.

The second night I chose cold soba ($9) and soba soup noodles with sweet beancurd ($10). I added the cold soba to the soup noodles to make a larger portion. So I was full after eating it.

Both nights I had a dessert of fruit (lychee, mango) with jelly. It's supposed to have a scoop of icecream with it but I opted for only fruit with the jelly. The first night the portion was twice as large as the second night, so I felt ripped off the second night, where the dessert was in such a small bowl. They charged the same amount both nights for this dessert ($6).

My friends and my husband particularly like the salmon aburi rolls ($18). It's not very filling so you need to order more than just one dish most of the time when you come here.

For a dinner for 2, you can easily spend $55-65.

Approximate cost: $55-65

Today they had a 25% off sale on wedding supplies so I bought my centrepieces from them. I bought the paper/cardboard (self assembly required) heart with 2 birds on them. It looks pretty but also not that expensive, at about $7 per centrepiece without shipping.

Unfortunately the shipping is $14.95, which is quite steep in my opinion. I wish they had free shipping for orders over a certain amount. However, still quite good value if you're buying a lot from them.

I ordered some speciality vegan groceries from here, including chicken salt, shrimp paste, fish sauce and oyster sauce. The delivery was fast, but I found that the oyster sauce bottle had shattered even under the bubble wrap. Unfortunately I couldn't salvage the remains because of the broken glass pieces being mixed in with the sauce so I had to throw it out.

I took a picture and sent it by email to customer service and they said I could either have a refund of the cost of the product or they could send it again wrapped with extra padding. I chose the new delivery as it was better value. Hopefully it will arrive intact.

The products are a little pricier than non vegan items of the same thing, but maybe its just because these items are not produced as much. Best to order large because the delivery is $9.95.

I had the vegetable pho with rice noodles. They give you some thai basil and lots of bean sprouts to accompany your meal. Tea is complimentary. I paid $13 for my dish, at lunchtime, which is a tad expensive considering that a few days ago at Epping I got basically the same thing for less than $9. However, the place is quite large and can seat more people than Pho Sam in Epping.

I paid $3 for a vegetarian sushi roll from here. I think that is expensive, considering it wasn't anything special. I've seen similar for $2.50 or less per roll.

I think this is the best place I've tried for vegetarian pho. They give a wide variety of green and other vegetables with tofu with their pho in a tasty soup. I didn't feel that thirsty after the meal, which means they either didn't use MSG or they used minimal. It was a very filling lunch option for $8.80.

Approximate cost: $8.80

I got a hair cut, foils, shampoo and blow dry here. The total time it took for the services was about 3 hours (because the foils take the most time). I have long hair.

I am overall satisfied with the final look, but I think the hair dresser could have been more gentle with my hair. It was hard for him to comb through but he treated it quite rough because he was in a rush for other clients too. Also, after the shampoo he didn't use any treatment or conditioner to help smooth my hair, which added to the pain of him combing my hair afterwards. The massage was okay, but his nails tended to scrape my scalp a bit, so that wasn't pleasant.

He blow dried straight, which came out nicely, and the colour looks good. It seems like he didn't do the foils close enough to the roots though, which makes regrowth more obvious faster.

Approximate cost: $100

Their procedure of teeth whitening is not painful or harmful, and they don't use peroxide. Lightening is done with a "natural" gel and an LED light while you sit in a comfortable chair. You may feel like falling asleep when you close your eyes.

I bought a living social voucher where I can receive 3 X 30 minute sessions for $80. I was able to do 2 of the sessions at one time at the QVB Galleries today. I would say the difference is not that noticeable because my teeth are not very stained. Maybe the difference would be greater for those with more staining on their teeth. I would not pay full price for this, judging by the mild result. Apparently it is meant to make more of a difference.

I bought 2 vegetarian rolls from here for $3 each. I think they were on the expensive side, considering that other similar places sell for $2.50 or $2.80 for the same or better quality.

I bought a falafel roll here for lunch for $7.50, which is a reasonable price. It was filling, and you can choose what they put in the roll for you. The taste is fresh and not too strong if you don't add onions. I recommend the hummous sauce. You can also choose to have a plate instead of a roll for extra.
