Had some great Malaysian dishes there -- Nyonya curry with okra was great. Nice atmosphere, service was ok. In general, food was nice, but a little expensive.

As a business traveler I stay at the Medina Executive James Court whenever I can. The apartments are a little old, but they are clean, comfortable, with everything I need. Service is impeccable and staff very friendly. Location is fantastic, close to Canberra centre.

I get my haircut here all the time. The students are very careful and for $15 it is fantastic value. The only thing is the whole process takes a long time, be prepared to spend about 1.5 hours there for a wash, cut and blowdry.

This bar within Crowne Plaza is pretty happening in the evenings. Great atmosphere, very trendy with outdoor area for nice sunny days. Food wise, it is not too bad, but not great either and on the expensive side. I had the 4 tapas selection and my friend had the steak. Steak looks good but the tapas are like typical party finger food.

One restaurant is the resident restaurant inside the Novotel hotel in Canberra. At first look the restaurant's decor is beautiful, modern, chic and relaxed. Value wise it is overpriced. One expects fine dining good food but what comes out is average. I got duck and soup, and waited forever for it to come out (about 40 min) and when it comes out it was luke warm.

I've been about 3 times and although it is a steak and crab house, my favourite meal there is the spicy chicken wings and bloody mary oyster. The steak is not bad, above average, and nice reasonably fresh alaskan king crab, but a bit overpriced. I imagine it would be quite good when they have crab specials on, but otherwise I'd just go back for the chicken wings!

I used to eat at Don Too all the time when i worked in Melbourne and now that I no longer work in Melbourne, I miss it terribly. Great food, generous servings, super fast service (if I order takeaway I get the food before I can put my change away), and fantastic value - where do you get a full rice meal for under $7 these days?? Sure some people say it's not the most authentic Jap food around and there are not that many choices in the menu, but it's very tasty and truly satisfying for a quick lunch.

A Japanese restaurant with nice atmosphere and not-too-bad food. We got to sit in the booths with the cut out seats on the floor. Food was reasonably good value and good quality, though it is not the best Japanese food around. Service was good, nothing remarkable. In all not too bad for a night out.

It's hard to find good fish&chips places in inner city Melbourne, so I was pleasantly surprised at the fantastic fish burgers these guys serve. I had the Fish burger with the fish of the day - barramundi - fish was very fresh, nice sauces, crunchy chips. My friend had Salmon burger and that looks good too. Definitely will return.
