I was so looking forward to my visit to this restaurant. I previously had visited & it was quite nice. This time, the food was slow to appear , the prices had zoomed up to fine dining levels & the food was so-so. Plus they had run out of baklava. If I want to pay top dollar for food, I will not be spending it here. Also it was terribly cramped , hot & did not have the ambience for a place that has become too expensive
The food is very good. The service - not so. As we have young kids, we often order takeaway instead as the waiting is more than kids can bear. Or my husband for that matter !! But to get best value, you must dine-in. The banquet is the way to go - you get a variety of lamb, chicken, veg & rice dishes plus lovely entrees & delicius desserts.
Approximate cost: $38 banquet per head
This is my local Indian restaurant & I am so lucky. The food is exemplary. Top notch. You can't get better Indian anywhere else. The meat & vegetable curries are equally as good as each other. The chicken tikka & fish tikka are wonderful. I adore the beef vindaloo & any of the vegetarian dishes. The seafood dishes also are highly recommended. The service is very professional. We also buy take away from here. The food is never wasted as it is so good. Never any left overs.
Approximate cost: $12
The food is lovely. Be it savory or dessert it is top quality & served promptly. The problem is which menu items to choose ? They all looked good as they were whizzing past our table. I had a devonshire tea & my partner had welsh rarebit. The service is exceptional. The atmosphere was very twee & as if you had stepped into a little village tea room. Lovely.
mainly tasteless , awful food. Seafood extender in the sparse hot pot. Stale slice of tomato qualifies as a 'starter'. Steak came absolutely raw. Then when it could be eaten, it had a sickeningly overpowering flavor of oregano. Pudding arrived as a milk fluid with a speckle of tinned fruit, not fresh fruit as described in the menu. It was a truly awful experience
Approximate cost: $48 set menu
