Again hubby got takeaway, this place has an amazing range. The curries were perhaps a little greasier than Indian Delight, but again , great value. We really liked the laksa & roti chanai. The curry puffs were lovely - to die for. But the samosas were awful - inedible. I couldn't tell if it was bits of beef or egg plant in the huge casing which broke apart. Rice was a little on the crunchy side. Fish curry had lots of bones, but was tasty. Chicken curry was amazing. Has a very similar menu to Indian Delights, but is larger & has a bain marie with lots of goodies especially if you want to take away. They are very organised & friendly. If you like Malaysian Indian cuisine, then you will love this place. The hybrid is a wonderful full flavoured cuisine which is different to food from India.

SI almost rated this restaurant with top stars except I haven't had a dine in experience there & it is take away that my husband picked up so I haven't seen the restaurant. According to hubby it is very modest with only a few tables. I take it that it is not somewhere you want for an OTT dine in experience.
But the food....it was recommended to us by a Malaysian who told us this is the place to go for noodles & laksa. We also found that it also has great satays, roti chanai, dosa, & amazing Indian Malaysian curries. I am salivating as I type :) You can tell that everything is fresh & the curry powder is top notch - & fresh. Their sambal is as I recall my ex- mother-in-law used to make & that is a compliment.

It is not expensive, either.

Maybe the person serving was having a bad day? Service was very slow, food was just crashed down onto the table with absolutely no regard for the diners!
Asked for drinks several times, came eventually after the main meal was eaten. This is a small restaurant with tables, chairs and decor you would see in an old rerun of division 4. Best stick with take away.
and keep in mind - no cards accepted here - only cash!! Don't ask to pay by card or you may be snarled at!!

After using this pharmacy for many years, and being known to the staff well, you can imagine my shock when the pharmacist working on a particular night refused to sell me some sudafed for my running nose! This person told me 'that you could be a drug dealer'! and wanted to see my driving licence to put my details in their 'special book'.
Forget the fact that I was picking scripts up at the same time - so you know my name and details - are you kidding me?
Stupid staff member loses a long time customer through STUPIDITY & RUDENESS !

We have been a regular at Chois for some 15 years now but i'm sorry to say that something has gone wrong this year. The last 3 times we have visited / had take away the food has been disappointing. the fried items tasted as though the oil needed to be changed. Food was greasy and vegetables seemed to be a plate of broccoli. Several of our friends relate similar experiences of hit and miss food quality. for a restaurant charging top dollar, not good enough.

Last time we complained about the dreadful Cantonese beef having the texture of a shoe sole, the waiter just laughed and took the plate away! The manager said 'it may not be to your taste'! Well my friend, it has been to our taste for 15 years but it seems you no longer care. New owners I think??

Usually this is a good place to have a nice steak. However, our last experience was dreadful. The steak was of very poor quality & it was inedible. It also had not been cooked as per our request. When this was pointed out to the sullen waitress, she just shrugged, said that the kitchen was closed & took the plate away. Thanks for that waste of $33, missy. The free bread doesn't make up for it !! We will think twice about returning. The service was attrocious. Not one member of staff was welcoming or cracked a smile. We won't be back.

Approximate cost: $33 for steak

I wonder if there has been a change of ownership here? We have visited this restaurant many times over the last 10 years and recently have been disappointed by the experience. The food last weekend was bland, uninspiring and not of the standard it once was. The main courses were supposes to have a variety of vegetables with the meat component, but were made up almost entirely of a plate of broccoli. Not one but two dishes were almost the same with an overload of brocolli. If I want a plate of Brocolli I'll order one! TThe chicken was not cooked well enough and the beef was tough and chewy - not good cuts. Shame really as once was really good but now just mediocre at best

Visited for dinner during the week which was a mistake. The waitress told us that they were not expecting this many people in that night so were short staffed. If you are told this then take my advice and leave now !This led to an hour wait for the meals to arrive. We were getting up to leave when they finally arrived and I'm sorry to say the food was not of a resonable standard. The steak was overcooked for Medium and was basically inedible. Maybe if you are planning to come stick to Friday or Saturday night ?

The food here is excellent. We have found that the set menu of banquet is the best way to go, particularly if there is a largish number of you dining.

This gives you some dips, pastry and meat dishes, along with dessert and coffee. The service can be slow on busy nights so be prepared to be patient if you go on a Friday or saturday night. The bellydancer is somewhat entertaining the first time but is a little predictable after a few times.

Very good authentic Malaysian food - one of the best. Prices reasonable and food quality excellent. Been several times and always great food. The curries are very authentic and none of the pedestrian feel of other curry houses. Nasi Lemak is excellent, House special of Sultans Chicken almost brought about cardiac arrest by hot chillies but survived to tell the tale.
