This is a little family restaurant across from the rsl. While they dont have a huge variety of fish, it is always fresh and prepared how you want it. They always ask if you want chicken salt (which i do). They also have a selection of greek (?) home made desserts which are delicious I had one like a slice with honey and almonds.
Approximate cost: $10-20
Seriously, I am surprised they are still in business... Here is a breakdown of my last visit there... we order (we still have to go to the counter to order despite the million dollar renovation). The waitress brings our meals and when we pause a moment before saying which meal belonged to who (we were a large group) she goes "ANYTIME SOON MY HAND IS BURNING". I mean, put the plate down or say it politely. Then we notice our salad dressing packets are a month out of date. We bring them to the counter and are given two more, also out of date. We ordered snapper and barramundi, which both look and taste identical. (weird long tubular cuts of fish that look nothing like either of what theyre meant to be) My lasagne is as soft as mashed potatoes. My friends roast is stone cold. We complain and are told that the chef thinks the dressings are still fine to eat, and they bascially refuse to give us a refund as we ate a bit of the dinner. I finally managed to get a refund on my dish as I hadnt eaten any.
This place, although it doesnt look it straight away, has HEAPS of tables, so it does get quite full and noisy sometimes, but they have a lot of waiters/waitresses so you're never waiting too long. The food is delicious and quite cheap (I usually share a $18 pizza with my mum and were both full after it). One problem is, you have to get your own water jug and glasses from the front counter, and they are very high up, mum couldnt reach them!
Approximate cost: $20-30
I found it hard to believe but this place PAID ME to come here!! I got orthotics free through my private health care fund, and they gave me a $20 coles myer voucher on top of it! As I live in Cleveland, they posted them to me for free. They were very friendly and called me by my name :)
Approximate cost: $free
Dr Welch, although impossible to get a hold of, is very very good at what he does. He performed my dads retina surgery and it was an amazing success.
Unfortunately, other than being experts in their field there's not much else they are good at. Hard to get a hold of, doesnt want to know you unless you make another appointment, doesnt listen to what you say, too busy talking over you with their opinion
Dr Stuckey has an interesting hybrid of medical practises. My little brother has Autism and I go with him to see Dr Stuckey. He specialises in patients with Autism and recommends special diets to help them. He is interesting to speak to and always has new knowledge.
This is a satisfactory, good chiropractors clinic. While they are not outstanding, they do their job in a professional manner and have never hurt me or made me feel uncomfortable. They are covered by most private health care funds. They are also in a lovely position, looking directly at currumbin beach
Heather is caring and very very relaxing, I often have to stop myself falling asleep when she does acupunture. She also practises Neurolink which is rare to find someone who does this. Being around Heather relaxes you and you feel better going out.
Approximate cost: $70 per hour (you can get some back thru private health care fund)
Dr Ping Jaa is excellent, she takes the time to get to know you and remembers the things you tell her. She has new and innovative approaches to healing. The setting is also nice, being on the river walk area of robina which is a pretty area
