Yuck yuck yuck. Im sorry but this place did not appeal to me at all. The staff are made to wear terrible "cowboy" outfits that you can tell they are uncomfortable in. The food was awful, but I was too polite to complain. I ordered a large enchilada thing and it looked microwaved and the meat inside was thready and dry. I went back a second time to buy nachoes which had barely any topping, basically just the corn chips with a smear or sauce.

My mum and I go to this gym. It is super tiny, about the size of a large lounge room, but everyone seems to know everyone in there and the girls that run it take time to talk to you every time you go in. They have been very helpful in getting me and mum motivated to be fit.
Approximate cost: $35per week
I love this place. I always go mid week as it is often almost empty and you can sit by the window and look over into tally creek and it goes to the sea. The staff are friendly and they make cocktails to your taste and imagination. The stuffed chicken is my favourite dish
Approximate cost: $20-30
They are cheap. Ill give you that. I went there 2 weeks ago and never again. The girl spent half the time talking to her other colleagues and I couldnt understand her. Then she got distracted and grinded my cuticles, twice, they bled quite bad and all she said was "oh sorry sorry".
Approximate cost: $35-40
I used to go to this store all the time and still do when I am on the gold coast. They always have large portions of chips and often chuck in an extra calamari in the fish chips and calamari pack. They also give you real salads with your meal not just lettuce, the greek salad is delicious. They do a really good burger with the lot too (its got egg!! yum!)
Approximate cost: $7-15
This place makes the BEST italian pizza, I ate enough to almost make myself sick. The family sized one will feed at least 4-6 adults...to the brim. These pizzas are takeaway as well. The pastas are delicious and taste very home made and rich. The carbonara is excellent. They also have some italian desserts that are hard to find elsewhere e.g Cassatta

I tried this place for their big breakfast. Honestly I was a little disappointed. The eggs were really runny, and they didnt bring the coffees out til we'd basically finished eating the food. So we had to eat our meal with no drink. The coffee was very good though when it finally came to us (we had to ask three times til they were brought out). In their defense, the day we ate there there was one frazzled woman running the whole show, so maybe they are much better with a full complement of staff
Approximate cost: $10
I go here to get my "big breakfast". It costs $6.50 and you get toast, eggs, bacon, tomato and a hash brown. Its in a nice secluded part of Cleveland and I only stumbled across this place by accident.

If you are in southport, make sure you visit this cafe. They have a $2.80 coffee and cake deal! I couldnt believe it when I first saw it, but I ended up getting a mugacino and a slice of cake for only $2.80. The coffee is great quality and there are also an assortment of Italian cakes and snacks to choose from. One interesting one is bolognaise pie, its like a meat pie but instead of gravy meat inside it has homemade bolognaise sauce with lots of mince.

My mum always goes to this hairdresser for the $11 standard cut for short hair. Its good value, and suited if you only want a trim or a standard cut. I got a style cut there once and it wasn't the best, but overall, if you arent too fussy or have low maintenance hair, this is a good cheap place to go to get a quick haircut.
