This review is for Dove And Olive Hotel, Surry Hills NSW

My friend and I visited Dove and Olive for a couple of drinks and some food on New Years Eve before heading to a party. It was very quiet so we had no problem finding a table even though it was Happy Hour, which was fantastic value for $4 house wines, beers, spirits, etc. Their menu looked really delicious with lots of classic pub feed options, burgers, salads and nachos! I chose the chicken schnitzel (300g) which was $15 and came with slaw, chips, and choice of sauce (I chose mushroom). It was really delicious and filling! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a great pub feed with cheap drinks in Surry Hills.

Another amazing Merivale venue which really has something for everyone! The downstairs section is very family friendly and offers lots of amazing food options. Their pizza is amazing and although I'm yet to try, their seafood platter looks stunning. Whether visiting for cocktails or coffee, Coogee seems to have it all!

After our pizza lunch, we headed upstairs to the 18+ rooftop which has a relaxed but glamorous beachy vibe. There are several bars serving up delicious drinks, including their frose which is one of the best I've tried. It can be hard to get a seat outside, however when you do there is a lovely view of Coogee beach and it's just a great place to have a drink. They also serve mediterranean tapas in case you get hungry.

Hands down one of the best fine dining experiences in Sydney, and very highly recommended for a special occasion!

The interior is very dim with dark, high ceilings and columns which give it a very glamorous feel.

The service is impeccable, the waiters are extremely attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Always willing to help you pick from the menu (which is quite comprehensive for a fine dining experience) by explaining exactly what goes into each dish and how each element is cooked and put together.

We chose to have three a-la-carte courses rather than the degustation and I absolutely loved every dish which was so thoughtfully put together, looked stunning on the plate, and tasted incredible. Some dishes (bread baked partridge and wagyu entree) were prepared and plated table side which is a wonderful touch which really adds to the experience.

They also offer a comprehensive wine list, seasonal cocktails and even come around with a trolley full of ice cold champagnes to choose from should you like to have some bubbly to start off the meal.

Will definitely be re-visiting Eleven Bridge for my next special dinner.

This review is for ProfessioNAIL, Sydney NSW

I have had acrylic infills from this ProfessioNAIL several times before as there isn't much choice when it comes to nail salons in the Sydney CBD, and usually ProfessioNAIL salons do a great job.

Their price is standard at $35 for acrylic infills with regular nail polish colour, and the finished product does usually look good. However, I find that the service is not friendly and the lasting power is poor. I have tried them out 3-4 times and every single time (different technicians) have been extremely rough so my hands are tense and they keep telling me very rudely to "just relax" while pulling my hand down firmly as if that's going to help.. Everytime, at least one of my acrylics has broken within a week afterwards, and this NEVER happens after visiting my regular salon.

Unfortunately, I will not visit this particular ProfessioNAIL again.

Approximate cost: $35

If you love matcha, you will LOVE Chanoma! The matcha soft serve is creamy and delicious. I also can't wait to try the 'matcha christmas tree' which is like bingsoo (shave ice dessert) which is out now for the holiday season.

This review is for Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, Watsons Bay NSW

Watsons Bay is a stunning venue with an amazing fun, summery and easy-going vibe. My boyfriend and I visited for lunch on a Sunday. Be warned that it gets VERY busy when the weather is nice and parking can be a nightmare as many streets in the area are resident only parking.

When we arrived, our initial thought was that finding a table was going to be verrry difficult. We wanted to sit outside and you have to try and find a table yourself. We walked up to the top terrace part near the upstairs bar and a waiter was kind enough to show us to a table which had just been cleared.

We ordered the chilled seafood platter ($110) and the poached chicken salad ($25). The seafood platter was stunning to look at and equally as good to eat. Including super fresh prawns, oysters, bugs, octopus, crab and selection of sauces all on ice, I can't wait to come back for a summer seafood lunch! Unfortunately the salad was a disappointment, it was certainly delicious, using fresh quality ingredients, with a lovely balance of flavours, however it was mostly lettuce and pretty ridiculous at $25!

The venue is stunning and I'd highly recommend visiting on a summer's day however do expect it to be busy, parking to be difficult, and prices to be high! You'll forget all that after eating some delicious seafood however, the cocktail jugs look amazing too :)

This review is for Four Frogs, Randwick NSW

Four Frogs Galettes (savoury crepes) and sweet dessert crepes are an amazing, authentic french dining experience. The atmosphere of the small restaurant is really warm and inviting and the service is so friendly. They have a wide range of galettes which come with simple toppings, just as they do in France! The highlight for me however, was definitely the dessert crepes. My sister and I shared the white chocolate ice cream, salted caramel sauce, and grilled almond crepe, and the coconut ice cream & homemade chocolate sauce crepe. They were incredible! So tasty, and their homemade toppings were just perfect. I was glad to hear that they've opened a new store in Circular Quay which is much easier for me to get to :)

This review is for Bare Grill on Bourke, Surry Hills NSW

I was invited to Bare Grill on Bourke for a media event soon after it opened it's doors in Surry Hills. We were lucky enough to sample lots of menu items including 3 of their signature burgers, which were all very very tasty. A real highlight for me was the "Epic Mac n Cheese" which was topped with pulled pork, spiced aioli, sticky BBQ sauce, bacon and shallots. I did try some of the golden gaytime freakshake (not sure if this is on the permanent menu) which looked very impressive although I found the flavour was just very milky. All in all, not the best burgers I've had in Sydney although a great spot to enjoy some food, with friendly service to match. They also have great wall art!

This review is for Butter, Surry Hills NSW

I ordered Butter to my office for lunch through UberEATS and was super impressed with how quickly it arrived.

I had the Cheezus "sandwich" (burger) - fried chicken with double cheese, lettuce and honey mustard with a side of slaw ($16) + "laces" shoestring fries ($5).

You get a big bag of chips for $5 which is great! The actual burger looked a bit sad when it arrived but it tasted amazing! The fried coating of the chicken was so crunchy, and the honey mustard sauce was delicious. It was all quite greasy so I was looking forward to the freshness of the slaw, unfortunately this was a massive disappointment. It didn't taste very fresh or flavoursome at all, just very very creamy and that's about it. This doesn't really affect my rating of the food however I would prefer if it wasn't included.

I'm definitely keen to visit the actual venue which is a very interesting mix of sneakers, burgers & bar! We loved that the burgers came in a shoe box, and I personally can't wait to try the cocktails.

My colleague and I decided we wanted to order some burgers to the office for lunch! We logged into UberEats to order, and within 30 minutes we were eating.

The app is very straightforward and simple to use. Once the order has been placed you can watch the progress (processing order, making food, in transit, etc.)

Unfortunately mine was stuck on processing order the whole time, so I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call saying that my order had arrived. The food arrived hot and tasted delicious!

There is a $5 delivery fee, which does seem a little steep so we were glad that there was a $10 discount code for first time users.
