Vermicelli is a great fast and healthy lunch option for office workers in the CBD. I ordered the Vermicelli bowl with cripsy chicken ($12.50 from memory). It was fresh and filling, and the chicken was very tasty although not very crispy. I've definitely had better Vietnamese vermicelli bowls before, I found that this one was a little lacking in flavour. They provided a tiny little wedge of lemon and some chilli, I think a little more lemon and herbs would have improved the flavour. All in all, I would visit again to try their pho, egg noodles and rice paper rolls which looked great! Service is also quick and friendly.
I don't tend to expect much in terms of quality of service, waiting times, etc. from any bulk billing medical centre. As mentioned in other reviews, wait times can be very very lengthy but if you go during the daytime (even on weekends) the wait can be fairly quick! In saying that I have waited over an hour before on very busy days, however I feel as though this is expected. I have found some of the doctors to be dismissive and rude, however there are some really friendly doctors also. It's great that they have a pharmacy on-site and (limited) parking underneath.
The Living Room is a stunning venue at the Park Hyatt Sydney. A friend and I visited on a Saturday for afternoon tea, and were blown away by the entire experience. The service was impeccable; friendly, attentive and professional. The setting and interiors were stunning! We were seated at a beautiful marble table right next to the floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking Sydney Harbour, with a great view of the Opera House. The food was amazing, a classic 3 tiered arrangement of savoury and sweet treats which were all explained by our waiter. Overall, a wonderful experience which doesn't come cheap at $70 pp (including a glass of champagne) but worth it, and would be great for a special occasion.
Love this place! Dee Why Hotel is a big, modern looking hotel atmosphere which has been designed really nicely, with big open spaces with lots of tables and seating. It looks like it would be a great place to have a drink with friends! I visited however for lunch, specifically to try their famous Trufflenator burger (2 x 100g Wagyu beef patties, bacon, American cheese, maple syrup and onion rings - all infused in truffle!), and it definitely did not disappoint. I'd definitely say it's one of my favourite burgers in Sydney and the truffle flavour was not overwhelming at all, as I had expected. Absolutely delicious and definitely keen to go again sometime soon!
I have always loved N2, it's a fun ice cream experience where each serving is made to order using liquid nitrogen. Their flavours change often (fortnightly?) however I find that they are getting less inventive and tend to repeat popular flavours a lot these days. At around $10 a pop, it is expensive but you get a generous amount of smooth, delicious ice cream in every cup, and many of them include something extra like a syringe filled with ganache, or a torched creme brulee top. They are also open late which is great for dessert after dinner.
Hukuya offers such fresh and delicious Japanese food - particularly sashimi! It is a small restaurant and can get extremely busy on Friday/Saturday nights, however it's definitely worth it! Highly recommended.
Beach Burrito does amazing Mexican food! The vibe is really relaxed and fun and it's lovely to sit outside on a summers day. We had nachos, tacos, and sweet potato chips - all highly recommended as they use fresh, quality ingredients and they're full of flavour. The red wine sangria and classic margaritas were very well done also. Can't wait to go back!
So glad that this deli opened in St Ives Village! It's a small shop which sells lots of speciality foods, meats, cheeses, etc. We purchased some proscuitto and soft cheese here for a picnic and it was all delicious, and well priced. Will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service! We had the folded parmesan eggs with buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and basil (weekend special), and the prawn and shallot fritters with wasabi cream and poached eggs. Both were delicious! There were also many other things on the menu that I'd love to come back and try.
The waiter was enthusiastic, friendly and helpful, offering his suggestions, which was appreciated. My sister got the Matcha Shake which was pleasant but not enough matcha flavour - mostly tasted like vanilla ice cream. I got a pot of green tea (T2) which was lovely.
Chef's gallery is always very busy however it usually doesn't take too long to get a table. The menu is a book full of very professional and beautiful looking images of each item on the menu. Everything sounds so delicious and I didn't know what to order! We ended up choosing the assorted entree, Roast duck and citrus salad, spinach noodles tossed with king brown mushrooms, signature roast duck and the caramelized eggplant. Unfortunately, the dishes look nothing like the pictures in terms of presentation! This is a little disappointing considering how beautiful they look in the photos, however they are very nice taste-wise. The duck was a particular highlight for me - perfectly cooked and so delicious! Would visit again.
