Takes me back to Arnolds in Happy Days. Great American themed restaurant. Always packed. Can't say that it is my favourite cuisine, but kids love the place. Misty is a great host and she makes you feel very welcome. You can also purchase American goods such as confectionery whilst you are there. Love the jukeboxes. Just a great step back in time when the world was simple. Highly recommend!
Great little Greek restaurant. Always packed, and is a great place to visit with other couples. Prices are great for the area, and food portions are in line with the price. Atmosphere is great. BYO wine is a winner, but the Greek beers are great to wash your meal down with. Dips are great to share, and the usual Greek delicacies are cooked with passion and presented as such. This is a restaurant where you will return again and again.
Fantastic local butcher. Greatest range of sausages with the Greek Style and the Pork sausages being a cut above the rest. Home made Kabana is superb. Great range of meat, with nice thick cuts of steak. Kids absolutely love the meatballs and you can't go past the skewers. Lucky to find a butcher like this in the suburbs. When we BBQ, people often enquire where we get our meat from.
On a Saturday morning, try the very cheap BBQ outside, and I guarantee you will go in the shop and purchase those great sausages.
If you want awesome fish and chips or souvlaki, you can not go further than Captain's Choice. The place is always packed, so I recommend phoning through your order. The salads are fresh, the fish is presented and cooked really well. Chips servings are quite generous. Kids love the junior flake which is almost the same size as regular flake at half the cost. Hot jam donuts are great here as well.
My favourite restaurant. It never fails to disappoint. Always busy, but they can always find you a seat. Very crowded and not ideal for a romantic dinner, however the food is simply the best. I cannot go past the spring rolls, followed by the Rockling. They do a mean red curry as well. My only complaint is the high corkage charge but it is a small complaint. Service is quick and usually reliable.
I have been coming here for years. A family favourite. Meals are generous and tasty. You have the option of making them much spicier if you wish. Standard Northern Indian fare, but the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The owner is very hands on, but sometimes the staff can be a bit hit or miss. Very happy to have this place as a local restaurant. Take away available as well.
Typical Malaysian and Chinese eatery with take away and dine in. Restaurant is dated with orange vinyl chairs reminiscent of the 70's, but staff friendly. Extensive menu, with quick service. Price is standard for this type of restaurant. If you want to have a simple night out, this is the place for you. BYO as well.
Airstream Café is a very busy restaurant in the heart of Glen Waverley. Kids are well catered for, and very kid friendly. Would only recommend if you have kids or a large group going to the movies later. Standard fare menu that would suit most tastes.
When in Adelaide, I always make a point of visiting Mekong Thai. A poky little place in the heartbeat of Adelaide, the portions are generous and very cheap. The place is always busy, menu extensive. Service is a little hit and miss, but it makes up with the great food you are served. Do not miss in Adelaide!
Enjoyable restaurant when I want to have a simple night of Thai food pleasure. The servings are generous, the service is hospitable and and the atmosphere is great. Highly Recommend.
