With the hundreds of Asian restaurants crammed of Gouger Street, a friend recommended the Star house. The food was very uninspiring, flavourless and the service we received matched this. Definitely will not be going back.

I haven't eaten here, there's only one thing I go for and that's the beer! While I tend to try and support micro breweries and boutique Australian beers, I can't go past getting a Leffe Blonde on tap. You obviously have to pay for this treat. The bar tenders also know their beers, which gets you trying new things, it's good going to a bar that has a different selection of beers.
If you want to save yourself some money, then make yourself a hot drink grab and nice bit of dessert, then light a single tea light and turn off all the lights in the house a sit down and have a nice conversation. I think the idea of the Elephant Walk is excellent, the prices and the quality of food are not. Overpriced and a bit snobby.
Usually when I eat at a pub for the first time a good way to get a feel for it is by ordering either a burger or schnitzel, unfortunately I ordered the burger. The burger bun was chewy, obviously just defrosted and the burger patty was close to inedible, no flavour what so ever. The mood from the service staff and the rest of the restaurant was like we'd crashed somebody's wake. I've got nothing positive to say about this one.

We ate in the restaurant that was near capacity, it's a bit of a squeeze, they could do with freeing up a bit of space, to make the dining experience a bit more pleasurable. The service was good, nothing too fancy pants, but worth the money you're paying. I got the steak, which I thought was enjoyable. I would be keen to go back, but not in a rush.
Approximate cost: $30
We've only eaten in the bar, not the restaurant, it's a great setting in the atrium. The food is pretty much no thrills, not bad but not memorable. The driving range is good fun. Nice enough pub.
Approximate cost: $20
Only been for lunch, but the yiros' are always stuffed with meat. The meat is pretty tasty, the bread is fresh, always a good feed. No complaints.
Approximate cost: $10
We didn't have high expectations, we've been to the one in the city and knew it's no thrills Asian food, but it's quite cheap and quick. This branch is definitely the poorer cousin, decor is dreadful, the people working there seem depressed and the food is poor.
Pretty standard Asian food. They're charging quite ridiculous prices for the quality of food they're serving up. I'd much rather drive into the city for quality Asian food.
Approximate cost: $20
The driving range is pretty dated, but the price is very reasonable. The actual course is good fun, a few holes are right on top of each other, but other than that it's an excellent par 3.
