Out of all the fabulous Greek restaurants in Melbourne I have no idea why we decided to give this one a go while walking Lygon Street. While I think this place would be great if you wanted a greasy late night kebab to go it certainly isn't a place you would choose to go have a casual mid-week dinner at. The food was not dine-in quality at all and ordering the food was incredibly painful given the waitress did not have any knowledge of what was on the menu - I doubt she even had any knowledge of Greek food as she had no idea what was in a moussaka. I don't usually mind paying $22 for a moussaka but the mains were all cold-to-luke-warm and came out at the same time as our entrees - Being a party of 4 we were we sat at a table for 4 but this certainly didn't accommodate both our entrees and main meals plus our drinks.
Really disappointing to say the least...

I do love a good serve of peri-peri chicken and Nandos has got to be a favorite amongst the fast food chains. Although a little bit pricier than your average fast-food joint, you can't dismiss the goodness and delishiousness of their food.

I've always had great service at the Nandos at Essendon fields. One time when they were a little short on my chip order they threw in a cup of their yummy chip dipping sauce. To be honest i wouldn't have noticed the lack of chips - it serve seemed normal to me but i appreciated their honesty and initiative :)

One of my favourite fast-food take away joints in Airport West Westfield.

They have a great selection of the usual asian foods but what they do best is Bento Boxes. Great value for money at $10 and it has a varierty of steamed veg, seaweed salad, japanese coleslaw, crumbed prawn, dumplings and meat (chicken, salmon and other) on rice. Always filling and always satisfied after a meal of this.

The other thing i love from this place when i'm feeling a little peckish is their brown rice sushi rolls.

Whenever I'm down Lygon Street and feeling a little or very peckish I come here :) there are so many places down this street that u can go but I always think to come here first before anywhere else. I especially love their muscles in a red tomatoe sauce - simply delicious! And great pizzas and sharing tapas plates.

The service is nothing to brag about though... Sometimes I find them to be a bit rude.. But the chef shouldn't b punished - definitely go for the food not the fantastic service

I like to go to Sputino for a fresher, healthier and filling lunch or snack from the food court. They have a good selection of freshly made salad and meat foccacias, wraps, chicken salads as well as some really nice italian meals such pizza slices, lasagne, canalloni, pastas etc.

I'd recommend trying their juice bar - freshly squeezed and some great flavors. :)

Sputino also have value for money breakfast and lunch meal deals too.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! One of my favourite places in Fitzroy for sure and it ticks all the boxes for me. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, great selection of local and international beers and wines and the staff are friendly and provide excellent service.

A great place to hang out on Keillor Road - seems like a popular place especially for the young peeps.

Great menu and I love the cozy booths inside. They also have a function space for events.

I Often find myself at Sam's when I'm after a big delicious greasy burger - especially after a big night! Never fails to satisfy my craving and is the best cure for a hangover ;)

Always gives a generous serve of french fries, always fresh crispy crunchy and salty.

Picked up some lunch here the other day and the food was great. I got a packet of the edamame beans and a sushi/sashimi pack. The fish was fresh and satified by sushi craving. Will come back here when I'm in the mood for sushi :)

I've been here a couple of times - once for a quick dinner and another time with a group of friends and we had the full Fuji Tempenyaki experience :) both times I had a very enjoyable evening.

Food is fantastic and the sashimi is lovely and fresh. They have a great cocktail menu too.

Would highly recommend dining at one of the tempenyaki grills and choosing one of the set menus. The chef is friendly and highly entertaining and the rest of the staff get involved too when they get a chance.

Great place for a first date as it would eliminate the awkwardness and you can be relaxed and just be entertained and have a couple of laughs ;)

The coffee is good, the sandwiches are nice and they have a great (although small) selection of hot food which varies day to day.

They have a large selection of breads and fillings for your sandwiches and make them fresh on the spot - when building your own sandwich sometimes you should expect to pay in excess of $10 as they charge per filling.

They cater work lunches as well - I know businesses in the area that have been going to them for years.

They also have a good selection of baked goods which is always tempting as a bit of an afternoon tea sugar hit.
