With long curly hair which is thick and tends to frizz, I've had WAY more bad haircuts than good ones.

I came to Ceasar's for a simple cut to bring back some shape to my unruly mess of tresses. Chez did a lot more than just snip and charge - he took the time to identify the issues I was having with my hair; he examined how to create a cut that would complement my facial features and hide the holes in my damaged hair, and imparted advice as to the best routine to make sure my hair continued to repair itself using his products (which yes, I did get sold on).

What should have been a 90min appointment ended up taking almost 3 hours which just indicates how difficult my hair is to manage (even for experienced cosmetologists/tricologists!) and how attentive the service is at Ceasar's. I have never had a hairdresser take such an approach before - it was personal, informed and proven by the results of the appointment.

I went in convinced I would not spend more than the cost of the initial consultation and haircut. Yet even after taking up more time than anticipated and postponing the next appointment twice, the cost for not just a dynamic haircut, but greater understanding of my hair plus a routine to limit frizz and hair loss, came to only $85. Bargain! (Especially after so many atrocious hairdressers charging just $50 less than that). So it definitely was not a hard sell when it came to the products demonstrated during the haircut - the fact Chez used one-fifth the amount of shampoo/conditioner I previously used speaks to the quality of the Scruples products. I don't like to put a lot of wetting agents/products in my hair; I've been using the Scruples shampoo, conditioner and curl creme only and together, they have been working well.

Approximate cost: $85-$190
