iinet - used to have huge problem with them when I first signed up as they had nowhere near enough customer service people on their phones. However, they seem to have cleaned up their act somewhat, and the internet service they offer is really pretty good. I have my home phone with them too, which does drop out occasionally, but overall, I'd say I was pretty satisfied with the way iinet runs their service
I would rate Tribal Rose as one of the best value florists in Melbourne - the flowers are always so fresh and last for around two weeks - which is great value when you're paying pretty standard prices. Lovely staff and the flowers are always beautifully presented.
Attentive staff, convenient location, and REALLY excellent food. I like Cafe Provincial very much - one of the more outstanding mid/higher priced restaurants I've visited in a long time. Will definitely return for a special occasion

When i pay for expensive meals (which, granted, isn't all that often) I expect quality over quantity. Enoteca seem to have got this the wrong way around. The lamb was just very bog standard and there was way too much of it. Shiraz was pretty good at $8 a glass though. Also - I think I got served by the chef, then the head waiter, then another waiter. No sense of being looked after by one person. Not a place I'd recommend at all.

Well they're not that expensive - I'll give them that. But they weren't exactly thorough on tuning up our car. And in fact whenever we took it to them it seemed to come back to us in a worse state than before.
Great arthouse cinema, with the latest "smaller budget" releases and pretty central to everything. If you join as a member you get about $5 off the price of your ticket. Definitely worthwhile

For Burgers on the go, I reckon you just can't go past Grill'd (off Brunswick STreet). Within ten minutes you'll have a great burger in your hands for under a tenner. My tip: call ahead so it's ready for when you arrive. Amazing hot chips too - sprinkled with rosemary no less.
Approximate cost: $10
Otherwise known as "The Turkish place" on SMith STreet, Sonsa has all manner of strange and exotic foods, service is always with a smile and if you like the look of something interesting, you'll usually be allowed to try it first.
Wow - love Hoyts. Great seats, excellent screens, brilliant sound. If only cinema tickets weren't $15 I'd be in there every evening...

Okay - Melbourne is totally saturated by "authentic" Thai restaurants who all claim to be something special. They never are. Average food, okay service. Fine for a quick bite. However, I was REALLY impressed by Pacific Rim. It's set in a lovely little restaurant, with an open fire and friendly service, which all adds up to creating a homely, intimate atmosphere. It's got an interesting menu and the food was really fantastic. Even better - when I asked for it to be extra spicy, it actually was. Almost unheard of in Australia!
